I've raked up all the dead leaves and cleaned out my flower beds. I've even raked under the rocks I use in my beds. Still the disgusting slugs come out at night and eat the leaves and flowers of most of my flowers. I've put saucers of beer out for them and it does attract and kill many slugs but it is soooo disgusting and not that effective. Most slug pesticides for slugs work for a short time only. Does anyone know how to get rid of them forever ?

I live in an area that has lots of ticks. So many in fact that I rarely go out in my back yard. We had guinea hens until recently (a fox got the last two) and they did a good job keeping them away. It will be several months before we can get more guineas so in the meantime can anyone tell me if there is anything better than Deep Woods Off. I tried an "all natural" spray that not only did not work but it STUNK so bad that I trashed it after using it.

I really need help. Last week after working in my back yard for several hours I found over 20 of the blood suckers on me !!! YUCK ! Yes they were feeing off my blood ! Now I'm on antibiotics just in case because there were soooo many of them. My legs look like I have just had small pox !

My mother is 90 and her doctor just put her on donezezil. OK, she is old, I just read what the side effects are. She already complains of feeling tired all the time and that's one of the side effects.

She used to walk every day and had more energy than most 70 year olds.

My guinea hen is sitting on 27 eggs in the bushes beside my house. She would not go to her pen with the other guineas this evening. If I move her and the eggs to a smaller pen we had for our guineas when they were keets I don't know what will happen. Please help! I just checked on her and she's still sitting there. I've turned on a bright light close to where she is sitting because I know they can't see well at night. I'm disprate! Thanks.
