Wasn't there another law limiting commercial volume levels on TV years ago?
I see that the CALM Act is going to be enforced soon. I was told when I was a youngster (Circa 1975) that there was a law limiting the volume of commercials. Why doesn't that law still hold? Was it just an urban legend or something?
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoIn closed captions what does "Drive one" mean?
While I was watching a TV show on Hulu, I turned on the captioning because I had trouble understanding a line. At the end of the scene, the caption said "Drive one" what does that mean?

6 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoHi all. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to use MS Access or Excel to remind me of calibration dates.?
I need to track the calibration of gauges and tools. It seems that there must be a way to use Access or Excel or some other software to keep track of when tools were calibrated and to automatically remind me when the latest calibration date (month only is fine) has come to pass. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim
2 AnswersEngineering1 decade agoIs the rather unpleasant smell near certain bodies of water in Florida from the mangrove trees?
A while back a friend of mine was in Florida and noticed a certain smell near bodies of water. He was told that the smell was from mangrove trees. I asked someone else from Florida about this and he said that the smell was actually from bacteria in the swamps and other waterways. Does anyone out there know which it is or if it is something else?
