My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year and a half. My birthday is a HUGE deal to me, I always get really excited and I was super excited to do something fun with him (last year we didn't do anything except go out to dinner with my family which I was bummed about but we had just started dating so I didn't get too upset) I kept hinting to him that I really wanted him to just plan something and that I will go along with it, I don't like having to plan out my own birthday. and recently he has been getting me these cute and funny cards and writing sweet notes which I LOVE.

My birthday came around (which is on new years) and his sister and her fiance took us out to dinner and to a bar for the countdown. The next day (my actual birthday) I asked what he wanted to do and he said well I was thinking we could go ice skating at the park (which we had done the week before) or downtown which I already planned for us a different day or go to dinner and a movie. Well, my mom had already planned a family dinner at my house so we ended up going to a movie, which we do almost every time we are together, literally. and on the way home I was talking about some cards I had gotten from other people and how much I loved them and he was like "yea I totally forgot your present and card at my house, sorry". I didn't want to say anything but I felt like this was a complete lie and that he was just feeling shitty that he didn't do anything special for my favorite day and if he really did forget it and feel bad about it I feel like he would have told me right away when he got to my house the day before. later that night I kind of let him know that I was a little dissapointed because he really hadn't planned anything, his sister planned dinner and the bar, and I picked out the movie and the time and place and he didn't even get me a card or anything. I don't want to let him know how upset I really am because I don't want him to think it's about money or anything. But I felt like he knew that I had been talking about my birthday for months and was really excited about it and he didn't even put in enough effort to get me flowers or a card or something (which is exactly what happened last year). why would he get me cards and flowers on random days but the one day I wait for all year he does absolutely nothing? Should I let him know how I really feel?

I am 23 years old and I have a younger brother who is 18. My mom has always babied him his entire life. He does not make his own food, do his laundry, or pay for anything that he wants to do with his girlfriend. I also have an older sister and out of all of us my brother and I are the closest. Today he came to me and asked to use my laptop to do his homework. I said that was fine but I would prefer if he used in a public area (kitchen, family room etc.) which I did not think of as unreasonable as he has taken my car for joyrides, stolen money, amongst other things in the past and to me a laptop is a personal thing like a phone or journal or whatever. the second he started to whine about it my mom storms downstairs and comes at me yelling in my face "that is unreasonable I paid for that computer etc. etc." so I ended up storming off and he had to use the computer in our family room. As I am going upstairs she is still yelling at me and bringing up my boyfriend saying "would he ever do this to his brother, i don't think so!"

I went down to talk to her about ten minutes later and let her know that I did not appreciate the way she talked to me and I thought it was insulting that she brought up my boyfriend and his brothers relationship and that I was sorry I wasn't the brother she had always wanted for him and that the reason my boyfriend and his brother are so close is because his parents don't interfere when they have an issue, they work it out for themselves. I told her that I didn't think it was a good example for her to set by coming in and yelling in my face because that wasn't teaching him how to deal with a situation where he didn't get exactly what he wants. I tried to explain to her that if I were him and asked to use his cell phone to do something but I wanted to go sit in my room with the door closed and use it he would say absolutely not. The only thing she argued was that he came down and asked nicely, like if he asks nicely 1 out of the maybe 10 times he's actually asked for something (instead of just taking it) that I should give him whatever he wants! Am I being unreasonable??

MY boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year but he never officially asked me to be his girlfriend, he just started calling me that one day.

I just wanted to know if this is typical because the other two relationships I've been in the guys have done something really cute and special to ask me to be their girlfriend and it made great stories/memories and I'm kind bummed that I won't have that story with my current boyfriend.

I feel bad bringing it up now because it's almost a year later, what should i do?

I need to write a letter to my dance team captain. I have been asking her to meet me for two weeks to talk about something and she continually avoid me, doesn't reply to calls, texts, or emails and last night she finally agreed to meet with me and then just never showed up. How do i start off this letter and what should it say. I want it to sounds mature and adult like without an 'attitude'

So my college dance team's annual guy/girl dance is coming up in a few weeks

every year each pair has names on the back of their shirts that go together.

all of the obvious ones like barbie and ken or peanut butter and jelly have already been used so i'm looking for clever, preferably with the times, names that my partner and I can use this year.

I'm a college student but do not have time for a regular job because I am an education major I am required to spend several hours a week in a class room and am a full time student.

what are some jobs or ways that I can make money in my free time without having to actually go to a job? SAFE websites only please preferably if you have used it yourself.

So sometimes I just feel like I have zero emotions. I'm never super happy or super sad, just nothing.

And sometimes I wonder if something is wrong with me or if I just haven't found the thing that "lights a fire" inside me.

is this normal, has anyone else ever felt like this? if so, what should I do!!!

So the other day I was petting my mini dashund and i felt a small bump between his shoulder blades, kind of like a pea. I've never noticed it before.

what could it be and should I take him to the vet?!!

there are 17 girls on my dance team and i'm trying to come up with a unique gift idea that i could put our team logo on.

I've already thought about fleece blankets but that would be wayyyy to expensive.

I also looked into necklaces and braceleets.

butt i need something cheaper.

any ideas are welcome!

it could even be something I could make myself. I'm very creative and create most of the gifts I give to others, I just need a unique idea that won't cost me my arm!

I've recently started taking birth control to help with mentrual cramps and for a bout a week my brests have been super tender even to the touch, could it be from the medicine or could they just be growing?

I'm a twenty year old women looking for a new swimsuit for an upcoming vacation.

however, ALL of the bottoms i have seen are just a measly piece of fabric thta barely covers anything.

of course i wtill want to look stylish but a little higher waisted would make me feel much more comfortable on the beach.

i'm on my college dance tema and at the beginning of the year we had initiation and they made us drink and play all these games, locked us in a room, and screamed in our faces.

now, they are planning a second one for next weekend and all the rookies are just over it.

sooo.....we want to play a prank on them during the initiation.

we thought maybe something with our boyfriends since a lot of us have boyfriends on campus.

but we just want to do something that will totally take the vets by suprise and show then that were not gonna take this crap anymore.

my group and i have to do a presentation on a topic related to parenting.

we are supposed to incorporate an activity to make it interesting and entertaining.

it can be almost anythign dealing with parents or children.

we were thinking about some type of a handicap like autism but don't know what activities we could do to demonstrate what it's like to be autistic.

so my friend runs an organization in africa and asked me to come with her!

it would be a one week trip over spring break and she has a lot of cool things planned like visiting orphanages and hospitals, teaching dance classes, and visitign different tribes and stuff.

it's like a once in a lifetime opportunity that i don't want to turn down.

but the problem is, i don't have the money to go.

it's about 2500 dollars.

if anyone could give me ideas for fundraising that would be easy and wouldn't take much planning or any other ideas on ways i can raise funds.

so i joined my college dance team this year, and being a rookie i expected to be in the back for a lot of performances.

were on like our 7th or eigth performance and they haven't switched up lines AT ALL.

i'm a sophomore and there are freshman in front of me, and it makes me super mad because they said lines go by age, so why are there freshman in front of me? i know they arne't better than me, were pretty equal.

and i just don't think it's fair that i'm always in the back.

there is also another sophomore in the back and she feels the same way as me.

we just started learning a new dance and they said they were switching up spots, and i'm in the same spot.

should we say something? what can we do?

i know i'm not in the back because i'm a worse dancer than the others.

but i dont' want to seem ungrateful or anything.

but it's really emotionally frustrating to CONSTANTLY be in the back, it makes me feel like i suck and i know i don't, especially when we perform so much that it wouldn't be harmful to just swith it up for one performance.

any advice?

about 5 months ago i noticed a hard lump on my right breast, sort of right under my arm pit.

it is hard and i can move it around, but it does not hurt.

it hasn't gotten any larger or smaller since the first time i noticed it.

i haven't felt any different, no sickness, excesive tiredness or anything

is it something i should be concerned about?

i'm 19 years old

about ten minutes ago i noticed my heel felt a little sore on the outside, and it is now throbbing and is super tender to even touch.

what do i do?!

i've recently noticed that my feet smeel really bad.

they've never smelled like this before!

what can i do to make them no smell, they don't sweat alot and i usually wear flip flops so they get a lot of air.

what can i do?!
