  • does anyone go on MySpace anymore?

It's creepy. I look people up sometimes.Their last log-in about 2008, at best. It's like a virtual ghost town, frozen in time. Can't bring myself to delete my account though. Not too many things give you that ghost-town feeling.

It's almost like going to a club that opens every weekend, but there's no dj or crowd. Just some pics of people who used to go there.

Or finding a map to a place which no longer exists.

    Very Twilight-Zoney.

Anyone else feel this way about MySpace?

after not seeing or hearing from them in a long time? With today's smartphones and social networking media, I was just wondering if that even happens anymore.

  • rifle/shotgun slings for fixed swivels?

I have a cheap shotgun, where the sling swivel/hook screw actually fastens the forearm . It threads through the forearm into the barrel assembly. So it's not like a universal "wood thread".

The hook swivels back and forth, but does not rotate without unscrewing itself. Is there a sling that has a revolving/rotating end clip, allowing it to attach to non-spinning sling hooks? I'd rather not drill for another swivel, since there's no room in front of it, and behind it would ruin where I normally would put my hand.

  • pressure release in revolver vs autoloading pistol?

Maybe it's the wrong terminology. Just wondering if there is an appreciable loss of energy when firing, between the cylinder and the barrel on a revolver, since those surfaces are not connected. Is it a noticeable amount, enough to effect velocity, compared to an autoloader or single-shot pistol?

  • question about body panels , Ford van?

Are the bodies of an e-150 and e-250 similar enough to purchase/use replacement parts that are for the "wrong" model? I was looking at a 1/4 panel repair kit for an e-150 (95-20-)and the site only had one for an e-250.

I know the 250's have slightly larger wheels, but I thought that was overcome by the ground clearance. The bodies always seemed identical to me.

  • Single action revolvers?

I would like to hear from personal experiences.

What are some of the reasons people choose single-action revolvers over double action? I've heard that they point /aim quicker or more naturally. But I'd like to hear from people who've actually experienced choosing Single vs. Double.

Anyone who tells me to "Google it" is going to be reported.

You can answer any question by saying that, and it is never a welcome answer. Furthermore, the myth that you can find anything on Google is just that. A myth. Just because it's on Google, doesn't mean it is the prevailing knowledge on the subject.

And just because it isn't on Google, doesn't mean it's imaginary.

  • Why do boys in movies always have bowl haircuts?

The kids, like anywhere from 4-13 years old, are often shown with thick, bowl-style haircuts, regardless of whatever decade that movie is made in (70's til today).

Bowl cuts do not exist great frequency in "real life", which would suggest that they are not particularly desireable. So why are they shown so much more often in movies? Is there some kind of cinematic reason, like how cartoon character never actually have five fingers? Or like how soccer balls hexagonal patterning was engineered so they would show up better on black and white TV screens better? Or is there some "symbolic" reason for it?

  • question of barrel length on firearms?

When a firearms manufacturer designates barrel length , does that measurement include the chamber length?

For instance, if a shotgun is said to have a 22" barrel, is that section of steel actually 24 3/4", 25", or 25 1/2"?

  • electric 4.5" angle grinder?

Does anyone make one that is not an arm-rattling toy anymore? I had a Hitachi for about 12 years. It was $120 when I bought it. The new ones are under $60 at Lowes, and they weigh nothing. The competitions' cheap versions are not much better. Anyone who wants a cheap, light grinder has obviously never used one.

So, who makes a good grinder today?

  • OWS, Question about Wall Street protesters?

Are they only against corporate greed on wall street, or do they care about other abuses? I already know they don't care about government abuses of money.

But what about name brands? Do they wear name brands? Do they care that a pair of Nikes costs $5 to make, yet sells for over $100,. King Nike and his friends live in a solid gold castle with a moat filled with beautiful girls, while the workers make less than $20 a week and live in smog infested high-rise apartments along the Yangtze River in China?

Just curious as to why the hate is so specific to only one type of "immoral" businessman.

We already know they worship billionaire Steve Jobs, who adjusted his will so well that his wife wont have to pay inheritance tax on the billions she just got.

Just seems hypocritical. Unless someone can explain it to me better.

  • Why do they play murder movies on Syfi channel?

I don't mind, just not sure what the content of a movie like, let's say, "Saw", has to do with "science fiction". It's not like any of those gadgets were powered by alien space fuel.

  • question about High Tension movie?(spoiler alert)?

If the chick with the short hair was also the killer, how did she

    a) lock herself out of the farmhouse with the key being on the inside

    b) drive the car and the truck at the same time, durring the car/truck chase?

It seems like they just threw in that split-personality thing in at the end cuz they were running out of time while writing it or something.

  • Yahoo answers question?

I keep getting notifications that my contacts have Qs, but then when I open the email, the q is just a "?", with no text. If I click on it, it's an older Q. Why is this happening? I have like 50 thousand notification emails for contacts posting Qs, but they are all old Qs that I already got notifications on.

  • Cordless drill, Amps vs Volts, fabricators?

I normally use a Panasonic 15.6 volt cordless drill. It is rated at 3.5 Amp hours. Anyone not familiar with Panasonic drills should know that they are considered the ultimate by most of the people who own them. Yes, they also made great VCRs.

I need to replace the drill, after 5 years of heavy shop service. However, all the competitor's drills list only the voltage. And if they do list the amps, it's way less... like under 2 Ah for an 18 volt.

IDK what to get. The Panasonics are not cheap, but all the new models from competitors have the Lithium-Ion batteries, which make them way lighter.

My Q is: what's more important, Amps or volts, and are there any advantages to the Nickel-metal Hydride(Ni-Mh) batteries over regular NiCad?

I know Lithium is lighter, but I don't like how the Lithium tools shut down without any real warning. The NiCad and Ni-mH baterries have a "wind down" period that I'm more accustomed to.

  • Car category on Yahoo answers?

The Y!A group has narrowed down the car category topics by brands. Yet there really aren't any British cars there. The average person is not likely to see a Skoda, Mahindra, or Tata (no pun intended), let alone own one. Yet, those cars are listed as topic choices.

British cars, MG, Austin, Jaguar, Morris, Lotus, Rover and such are not listed as topics, even though people have seen and owned these cars with considerably more frequency.

  • questions about crossbows?

Please don't tell me that I can't hunt with them. Every time I bring up the word "crossbow", that's all anyone ever says.

    Anyway, my Qs:

Are there any actual, good "hand" or "mini" crossbows? Or are they all just toys? If you've never seen one used in real life, please know that I have used many in real life, and they all sucked. I don't think they could inflict pain on bare skin without putting a hot-sauce-dipped razor blade on the end.

    Second Q:

Do any modern crossbows have steel bows? I have inherited an old one from the 1950's made by Stevens. It is beautiful and heavy, but I haven't shot it yet.
