5 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoI have a homophobic friend?
The subject of homosexuality was brought up at lunch the other day and one of my friends said that there's no reason the government shouldn't allow gay marriage and my other friend (let's call her Liz) said that they aren't allowing it because the government wants to keep the U.S. the same way it was envisioned to be by the Founding Fathers. I was pissed off by her comment and the absolute irrationality of it but I didn't say anything because apparently it was "that time of the month" for her at the moment.
Another case was when one of my friends suggested the scenario that what if she was lesbian, then Liz decided that it would be totally appropriate make it known and to blast my other friend outright, saying that her belief does not allow her to accept homosexuality and that if she was lesbian she would still be her friend but would not approve of her "lifestyle and choices".
What do you think of Liz? I would just like to know your opinions. I understand it's not right to sever our friendship simply because of her views on homosexuality but currently she really pisses me off.

Now how was it? :D
And do they allow cameras in the venue? This is particularly directed at people who saw them in the U.S. I'm going to see them this May and I'm wondering about any restrictions they may have.
Thanks!
8 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoDid Youtube just get stricter?
It seems Youtube has deleted several music videos that used to be on the site, even videos that the owner posted themselves. Take My Chemical Romance's channel, mYcHeMiCaLrOmAnCe. They own their videos, yet several of their music videos have been taken off. Why?

11 AnswersPacking & Preparation1 decade agoHow can I convince my parents to let me see Milk?
My parents are traditionalists and are against gay marriage and homosexuality, particularly my mom, who thinks it is a disease. :P
I really want to go see the movie Milk, which is about a gay man who was elected to public office and fought for gay rights. How can I convince my parents to let me go see it?
BTW there's no arguing with my parents when it comes to issues like gay rights and gay marriage. They stick to their opinions like dogs to their owners.

2 AnswersCell Phones & Plans1 decade agoWhat is this movie called? I can't remember.?
There was this movie clip I saw on youtube and I don't remember what it was called. There was this straight guy who got together with this girl who has a gay best friend. Throughout the movie, the gay guy starts to really like his best friend's boyfriend, but unfortunately for him, he's straight.
I remember especially the gay guy blowing the straight guy while he was having phone sex with his girlfriend.
BTW the girl in the movie is blond.
Someone tell me what movie this is, please?

1 AnswerDiet & Fitness1 decade agoWhat would you rather do...?
Would you rather...
...have someone lie to you and tell you you did a great job or tell you the truth and criticize your work?
...if a family member was on bypass, would you rather keep them alive or pull the plug?
...do you think it's better to give up your friends for a lover or dump the lover and stay loyal to your friends?
...be a drug addict or an alcoholic?
...have a slow but terminal disease so you can have time with your family or a quick death to cut the pain for you and your family?
3 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWhat is wrong with me??
OK, now be nice about my weight.
I'm 5 feet 4 inches (yeah I know I'm quite short but if you knew my age that i will not tell you, you would understand)
I weigh 170 pounds
But know this:
I know I need to lose weight.
I am told I look like I weigh 130-140 pounds.
I have very muscular thighs and calves (perhaps even abnormally muscular) and a considerably firm set of abs.
I do pilates every night and I take a 30-40 minute walk daily and I go ice skating for 1-2 hours at least 4 times a week.
I watch what I eat very carefully. I drink lots of water and eat lots of fruit and vegetables.
I don't eat much refined carbs and eat mostly whole grain and whole wheat.
I avoid beef and eat lean turkey and lean chicken and pork.
I haven't eaten fast food in months!
Basically, I watch my diet very closely and I exercise a lot.
But I just can't lose any weight at all! I have both a considerably equal amount of both flab and muscle. It confuses me!!
In fact, after going to a figure skating training camp (trust me, they work you HARD) where we worked out three hours a day mon-fri for three weeks, I gained 5 pounds. I used to weigh 165 pounds until after the training weeks. Aren't I supposed to LOSE weight running and skating for three hours?
WHAT THE $%^*( IS WRONG WITH ME????

I'm wondering if my mom could possibly have Cushing's Syndrome.
She has diabetes which I heard is a complication of Cushing's and high blood pressure and central obesity. She bruises pretty easily. She also has high blood sugar and is tired a lot.
Could these be signs that she has Cushing's?
