So I received an offer for a Licensed Social Work position at a nursing home. The pay rate is 25/hr. I know about this nursing home because I'm also working at another nursing home and I hear that the other place has a horrible reputation and was nearly shut down twice. I believe this because I asked the administrator there and they said that they were in transition from one to company to another and that the "temp" administrator before was very careless and didn't have goals for the facility. However the new administrator (the one thats hiring me) is permanent and wants to get the place back into shape again. I heard that the last three social workers that worked there quit or got fired.

Now I turned in my resignation letter to the administrator at my current nursing home and she feels terrible that i'm leaving so she's going to negotiate pay with me. She can only bump up my rate to 20 dollars an hour. I love my company, it's clean, i love my co workers, i get paid lunch, i'm hitting my one year work anniversary so i'm just about to earn my vacation time, it's an easy job, BUT, it's not a job that would be correlated to my field of study? I'm a recreation specialist at my current job. Another advantage is that if i stay at my current company, they will help pay for some of the expenses if i return to school for nursing which i intend to.

I think I've been 4-6 weeks pregnant now. Before I left my house to go to a poetry meeting today, I drank some of my mother's herbal soups. She said it was good for me. During the end of the meeting, I started getting really bad cramps. I went home and took some ibuprofen but it didn't help automatically. So I bought a CVS brand pregnancy test. I peed on the stick and left it on the table. 2 minutes later, there weren't any lines on neither circles. I know I'm suppose to at least have a line on the control window but I didn't. So I assumed it didn't work until I shook it up. Then I could see an extremely faint line on the control window and barely a line on the result window. I have a second test, should I bother to test again? Or am I pregnant?

But i only took one pill where as other people have taken two. I was only given one pill? Anyways, I took it, no side effects, but no spotting either and I've read in many forums that many people have spotted or had brown discharge after taking it. That worried me. So as we can see..I'm asian. I'm not gonna say that all asian stereotypes are true but...some of them are pretty true for me. Okay so my parents are so friggen uptight about everything. Yeah i kno they want the best for me but I feel like they always compare me to all my skinny asian friends. I feel stuck in such a stereotypical world. I wanna break apart from this so bad. So...I applied to University of New Hampshire, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and University of Rhode Island.

UNH's grand total is about 35,000 and they gave me 22,000 for financial aid.

Umass Dartmouth's grand total is about 20,000 BUT they gave me only 6,000 for financial aid

Then there is University of Rhode Island..the dream school that would put me in debt for LIFE. There grand total is 42,000 but they gave me 42,000 for financial aid but most of it is made out of loans, loans, and a PARENT LOAN.

What should i do? I already talked to my parents and they said they dont want me in debt for life so they dont want me to go to University of rhode island. ...i have a week left to decide. I'm screwed.
