We are doing integration by parts, and I was going back over and practicing my lecture notes when I came across the problem “find the integral using IBP for arctan(x)dx... I know we start by IBP substitution where u=arctanx, dv=1 and v=x...I don’t understand why we use du/dx=1dx/1+x^2 for du? Further on I use this and I start to have to derive x/1+x^2.. why does this (after u sub, u=1+x^2)  simplify to 1/u and du/2 when we are supposed to be deriving? If someone could work this out for me that would be amazing! Thank you!

I’ve taken 3 pregnancy tests all negative (2 rapid detection clear blue and one clear blue digital) I took another digital clear blue and it loaded but displayed a blank screen? What does this mean? Does that mean a positive test?

Hi! So me and my bf had sex on the 17th of April he didn’t *** I am on the depo shot and he had a condom on. I took a digital pregnancy test on day 11 after sex and it was negative (I don’t get a period because of depo) and then I took another one after two weeks (14 days) and it was negative too. Now my boobs are sore for some reason and I’m kinda worried about it, I might be overthinking again because I have anxiety issues? Any insight on thsi?

Hi..
