One of my friends is getting laid off :(

I'm making her a 'recession survival kit' with things like:

What are some other useful OR fun things to put in it?

I run my own graphic design firm. I designed a website for a web developer, who I now work with. I do the artsy design stuff, he does the code stuff to make it all work. We'll call him pirate.com.

All was going fabulous, until one day he posted on his web page footer 'pirate.com is proudly designed by pirate.com.' This, of course, is simply not true. I designed his site entirely. When I confronted him about it, I expected him to say something to the effect of:

'Sorry, I put that up so that I can be the face of pirate.com. I will still use your services, but I don't want my clients to know that I use a third party.'

I would have completely accepted this explanation. However, he said, 'Oh, haha, my partner put that up & I thought it was funny, so I left it.' I was completely offended and now feel that my services are not valued.

I don't want to destroy my biz relationship with him, but want him to know that I do not think his behavior is acceptable. I would like to punk him or do something fun... What should I do??

What is the difference between these 2 lenses - they look the same to me, but the price is very different.

aspherical

They are shaped a little differently, so I'm guessing they're different somehow? Different features? Different quality?

I'm presenting my auto biography to a car club, but it's SUPER boring. Do you have any suggestions to make it more entertaining?

I am Emily, aka HEMIly, born July 27, 1981. My parents & the doctor thought I was a boy until I was born. Even after that, my mom still thought I was a tomboy & put me in sports like t-ball, soccer & baseball. I'd end up in the field picking 4 leaf clovers. She finally put me in a girly sport – ice skating & I have loved it ever since. Since I'm WAY past the olympics age cut-off, I coach a bit here & there.

I am married to the sweetest guy in the world (though he claims thug-status). Somehow he convinced me he needed rims for his 300, and thus began our adventure with SLCLX (thanks Steven!). When my mustang died, I began to commandeer the hubby's hobby. After test driving an SRT8, I decided I must have an 8 cylinder car.

I graduated from the U in 2009 (go UTES!!) with a degree in mass communication, and have enjoyed designing & marketing for both SonicScrubbers & my own company – check out www.ICEdesignco.com. I am passionate about design. I love things that look nice, which is part of the reason SLCLX appeals to me. People care how their cars look & take great care of them. Even though I don't know much what's under the hood, SLCLX has been super fun for both Heri & myself. To this day, I'm still trying to figure out where the hell blinker fluid goes & if I can get it in purple. ;)

I am looking for a company to sell my product at consumer shows. It is a cleaning product, so would like to see it in home shows, car shows, etc.

I've heard that there are companies that will buy your product, then set up a display to showcase it & sell it at these shows. What are some companies that do this?

I have several EOS lenses & I realize these are more important than the camera body, but I'm looking to buy either the T1I or the 40D

I currently have a Canon Rebel XTI, & want to upgrade to a nicer camera. I have a few EOS lenses, so would like to stick to the same platform. I only need the body, no lenses.

I've heard the T1I is a good upgrade - better CMOS & ISO, but I've heard the video sucks on it. I will be using it primarily for stills, not video. Ergo, video is not a big deal, but it would be nice to have high quality for both purposes.

I want to stay around a $500 budget, and I am willing to buy used. What suggestions do you have for my next Canon SLR?

I would like to view/edit some MOV files on my PC. I have downloaded several programs to try to view it, & get the following errors:

From quicktime:

Audio plays, but there is no video - only a black or white screen.

From VLC:

"VLC does not support the audio or video format "xdvd". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this."

From Adobe Premiere CS4:

"Codec missing or unavailable."

The footage was recorded on a Sony XDCAM EX3.

How can I edit them in Premiere??
