I have just removed stone cladding from my living room wall (circa 1970's). I have two alcoves either side of the fireplace that I want to brick up, but my Dad (he owns the property and I rent it off him) wants to leave them there and have them plastered when I get the wall done. My Dad says they add character to the property, but to be honest, I hate them. I've tried to explain that it would make the plasterers job easier and cheaper if it was a flat wall, but he's a stubborn old boot and doesn't seem to realise that i'm the one who's got to live with them

Anyway, honest opinions do alcoves add character or are they as naff as the stone cladding I've just taken down?!!

My daughter has been told by her doctor that she's underweight, she eats 3 healthy meals a day but can't seem to put on weight. She's 20 yrs old and is 5.7" tall. Does anyone know what kinds of food she can eat to help her?

She told me that there was a fight and she got a person thrown at her!! She wasn't involved in the fight but was shocked. She was called into the head teachers office for a "witness interview". She's OK, sitting here giggling about it!! Do you think the Incredible Hulk goes to her school?? He must if a person can be thrown through the air!!! LMAO xx

Ok, my daughter bleached her hair last night and left it on for too long. Her hair broke badly and a lot of it had to be cut off. Anyway, today she put a brown dye on it in the hope of getting it almost back to her natural colour of dark brown, but it's gone dark grey and its breaking off again. She can't afford to go to the hairdressers to have them sort it out and she's getting quite depressed about it and is sitting here with a hat on. Does anyone have any sensible advice that I can pass on to her, trolls need not apply

My TV is on and there have been a few adverts for clothes shops, but has anyone else ever noticed that there are NO adverts for Primark??? Do they not feel the need for advertising because the shop is so popular anyway?

earlier today my 8 week old kitten was playing with my hair and when he went to grab it he caught my eye, now its all bloodshot and my vision is a bit blurry. It feels a bit sore and i've rinsed it with salt water.. should i go see a doctor about it or leave it alone??
