I am writing a report on suicidal tendencies in writers, and I was just going to fish the net for anyone who has ever read a poem about suicide or heard of a poet who dealt with suicide a lot. Sylvia Plath, and Anne Sexton are some good examples.

When you quote something like, Longinus says "Sublimity is the echo of a noble mind." If you use the word sublimity again in his meaning, do you have to put it like 'sublimity' or would it be "sublimity" or do you need quotes at all.

When you have large sets and get more specific with smaller sets example:

If I have like an 8 oz mug once a week am I going to keep getting these mind-splitting headaches? They get so bad I get nauseated at times.

Faulkner, in his speech upon being awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature that people must write about things that come from the heart, or "universal truths." Otherwise, he states, the ideas published signify nothing.

My question is, if this quote is true, how do you justify reading Harry Potter or Twilight or anything by Stephen King? I am not trying to coyly rant, I am seriously interested, I have read Potter and enjoyed King's DT books.

I heard Stephen King revised the first book of his Dark Tower series. Having read the first book years ago, I am interested in what he changed? It was my favorite book in the series. Worth rereading?

As a student in creative writing I am always told to write short stories. Is this because authors who write novels start with shorts and move up, or is because the class is just too short to worry about a novel.

Be honest, do you ever ask a political or religious question not even wanting an answer. Instead you just want to show people the error of their ways through your impervious logic.

If you believe in the teachings of Christ then how do you handle your beliefs on war? Didn't Christ say we should treat our neighbor as we wish to be treated? I really don't wish to be put to death for any reason, so how can I justify ever going to war while being a true Christian? If I am to love my neighbor and treat him with kindness, which is how I want to be treated, how am I ever supposed to be able to fight for my country?

I have a whole slew of old books with covers threatening to fall off and others who have already started tearing. What's an inexpensive way to fix them. Obviously cheaper than purchasing new ones.
