  • Have you ever heard of this before?

I have been experiencing this for a while now, probably a couple of months. It doesn't really matter what I'm doing but I get this immense pressure in my head. It will come on suddenly, and then fade away quickly. However it does this about 3 times consecutively for about 20-30 seconds. It comes from the middle/top of my head. The last time it happened was Thursday (I think) while I was just standing around.

I tried to explain this before and it sounded like a headache, but that's not really what this feels like. I also experienced some dizziness, but that was more during the first couple months. I would just be walking and then all of a sudden I'd get really dizzy for a few seconds, but it would go away soon. I hope I explained this well enough. Just in case it's necessary to know, I'm a 16 year old girl. Thank you! Sorry, I wasn't really sure what category to put this in.

  • Can you help with this math problem?

It's a group assignment and my group doesn't understand. For the record, you aren't doing my homework, I'm just comparing answers (I just finished it but I don't think it's right so I want to check with others). Ok, so here's the problem:

A gold processor has two sources of gold ore, source A and source B. In order to keep his plant running, at least three tons of ore must be processed each day. Ore from source A costs $20 per ton to process, and ore from source B costs $10 per ton to process. Costs must be kept to less than $80 per day. Moreover, Federal Regulations require that the amount of ore from source B cannot exceed twice the amount of ore from source A. If ore from source A yields 2 oz. of gold per ton, and ore from source B yields 3 oz. of gold per ton, how many tones of ore from both sources must be processed each day to maximize the amount of gold extracted subject to the above constraints?

We have to fill out a chart too, but really I just want to know the feasible region or the equations/inequalities that you use. Here's the chart (I'm just putting it as reference).

.............................. In words/work space..................................... Equation inequality, or graph

What is the problem asking you to maximize?

    What are your variables?

    What are your constraints?

What is your feasible region? *graph*

What are the vertices, which maximizes your equation?

  • Wheat free birthday dessert ideas?

I need something creative. Not just jello, or something boring. The girl is allergic to wheat, and I'm not really sure what else haha. I'm going to at least try to make her something.

  • What's are some fun games to play in the car?

We are going from North Carolina back to Pennsylvania. It's a long car trip and my sister is 6 and is always saying how bored she is.I'm 16 and I want to make the car ride easy for everyone, so I'm trying to find ways for us all to get along. On the way to Carolina we played the ABC game with road signs, but she wasn't all the interested. I'm not sure if she'll participate in any of the games, so games that could be played at her age level would be appreciated, but aren't necessary (I can make her feel like she's helping, even though she's not). I am very fortunate in having an Ipod, kindle, and laptop, but they do get boring after awhile. I have already thought of watching movies and playing games on my devices, but the movies didn't work out so well and I'll get car sick playing games. If you can think of any, I'd really appreciate it! Thank you!:)

  • Why doesn't Taylor Hall AT LEAST get a hearing for this?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a12ZMGRLasg

Hall slashed Zbynek Michalek. I can take a no-call by the refs but how in Hell could Shanahan have "missed" this? It's blatant and Hall intended to injure. Even if he wasn't injured, it deserves a hearing.

  • Any ideas for a hobby?

I'm so bored right now!! I'm almost 16 so I can't drive for about a year. I'm a girl. I'm shy. I would prefer something that doesn't cost a lot of money, if any, and something outside. I'm going to try running and jogging. I already play instruments, I play golf, I take art in school, and I write in English so nothing like those. If you have any ideas, I'd be glad to hear them!! Thanks!

  • What's a good controversial topic for an essay?

So, we have to do a persuasive research essay for English and my teacher wants us to find a controversial topic, take a side, and then write the paper. She said doing it on a recent topic wouldn't be good because we need 5 resources and only 2 can be on the internet. I originally chose performance enhancing drugs in professional sports but she told me that that wasn't very controversial and that everyone is against it and she wanted me to ask the guys in my class about it but I didn't want to. So when I was standing there I just quickly thought of a different topic which ended up to be "why prostitution should stay illegal" or something like that. I don't really want to do that though. I know you don't know me and don't know what I'm passionate about but I would appreciate help! Thanks you!

I can't do abortion, euthanasia, or gay marriage. They were already picked.

  • Do you have any tips for doing watercolor paintings?

We are doing them in art but we haven't really had an introduction. I have a really good art teacher but because of some other things going on in school we don't have a lot of time to do talk about doing these. He showed us basic techniques but said that we really just had to learn from experience from then on. If you have any tips, I would love to hear them! Thank you!

  • Does The Scarlet Letter have a specific or universal setting?

I have to write a literary analysis on the The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne and we have to use a debatable opinion. My English teacher from last year gave me a good suggestion about writing whether the book has a universal setting or a specific setting. In case you're not aware, specific means it could have only happened in that time but universal means that it could have happened any time. I want to say universal but I am coming up with reasons why both settings could work. I really just want your opinion on which one it could be.

  • Do you think I could teach myself to play the trumpet?

I pretty much taught myself to play the clarinet and I've been playing the violin for years. I just started with the clarinet in June and I'm not that great with it but I want to learn how to play a different instrument. The trumpet isn't definite and I don't know if I'll actually carry through with this but if I were to start with the trumpet, I would practice and be dedicated. I found a trumpet that I could buy cheaply. If not the the trumpet, what other instrument do you think I could start playing?

  • How to get rid of fleas?

We didn't have fleas until we got these 2 cats and its been like 2 years that we've had fleas. We have 6 cats but can't afford frontline. The one cat almost put a hole in her neck. The oldest cat looks like she's balding. Those 2 are the worst and believe me, I intend to get them first. They are indoor/outdoor cats. What medications work? Where can I get them the cheapest? How could I do this naturally? I have given so many flea bathes that I can't even count them. I am open to anything. Please help!!!

  • Better persuasive essay topic?

I'm a ninth grade girl. Which one is better?

    1.Not taking state tests

    2.Pro athletes as role models

    3.Protection of endangered animals

4.having a law against eating, drinking, or using electronics while driving

    Any other suggestions?

My favorite was the role models one but I want your opinion. I already chose state testing but I don't really want to do it. Note that I don't really know my class and a lot of them are athletes but I only play golf and rifle. I love hockey though:).

  • Do you think I'm depressed?

Last night was the first time I've ever told someone that I'm pretty much numb. I can laugh but that happiness goes away very quickly. I do feel sadness and anger but only when their really strong emotions. I always thought that I'm just content and bored but health class is changing my mind. I thought this was healthy but I'm feeling differently now. The person I told was my brother's girlfriend and she helped me tell my mom that I should see someone. When I told my mom that I was having attention problems she just said that I'm not challenging myself enough. I get straight A's but everything seems so boring. I used to be all over the Pittsburgh Penguins and hockey (I don't play) but now I'm just not as interested. I still love it but its different. My brothers girlfriend gave me a few words that explain this easier. I'm almost like a zombie. I feel like life is just passing me by. Some reasons why might be that my parents split up when I was little, my grandfather died when I was seven, and when I was eight my mom told me that I had a dead sister. I have three older brothers. Then when I was nine my younger sister was born. I feel weird around her. I love her but I feel like I can't be myself. I'm a fourteen year old girl. My mom also almost laughed at me when I told her this. I'm pretty sure she takes meds for depression. I used think about the bad stuff a lot. I don't that much anymore but now I don't know what to think about. I feel empty in a way. I'm not suicidal but I don't see my purpose in life. I'm sorry this is so long.

  • should I play hockey?

I am a 14 year old girl and I kind of want to start hockey. I will probably have to wait till next year but I could start skating at a local arena now. Equipment wouldn't be a problem because my 3 older brothers played and have obviously grown out some of their stuff. I would have to buy some new stuff but I already mentioned it to my mom.

My problems are that I don't know how to skate, know which position I will want to play (Defensemen or Forward), my stickhandling isn't great but i can work on that, i'm shy, and im 5 foot 1 1/2 inches. I don't know if that matters but it seems short also I'm used to hitting a ball not a puck. I play in the living room with my brothers but when they move out (which won't be too long) I will really miss playing. I love hockey because I grew up with it and I want to play but I don't know how to start or if I even should.

  • Should I try out for the golf team?

My school has a golf team and practice is on Monday and Tuesday then tryouts are on Wednesday and Thursday. I'm a beginner golfer and I'm horrible. I'm not consistent and I have bad concentration. I'm afraid if I try out I'll be either made fun of or bring the whole team down (My school has a bullying prevention program so getting made fun of is probably not actually going to happen but its always a fear for me). My family says its two free games of golf but IDK.... I also don't know what to wear, it's at a coarse which really doesn't care whether or not you're dressed for golf. Any suggestions????

    Thanks!!
