What happened to my question!?
I asked a question about those ridiculous "Sling TV" commercials, and now my question has disappeared. How can I find out what happened?
3 AnswersYahoo Answers3 years agoWhere are the Yahoo Answers categories?
You used to be able to click on a category and see all the questions in that category. I don't see how to do that now?
1 AnswerYahoo Answers3 years agoDoes anyone agree with me that people who drive pickup trucks are evil?
Lately it seems there are more and more pickup trucks on the road. Almost without exception, the drivers of these trucks are aggressive, inconsiderate, and often downright hostile on the road. They seem to enjoy violating speed limits, creating dangerous situations, and scaring everyone around them. I've literally come to the belief that emotionally troubled people buy pickup trucks and express their impotent frustrations on the road. Either they're crazy or they all have tiny penises they're feeling bad about. This may sound like a joke, but I'm dead serious. Thoughts?

3 AnswersYahoo Profiles4 years agoIs anyone else completely SICK OF that one swimming commentator on the Olympics?
That guy's ridiculous screaming and yelling makes me want to kill myself. I love the Olympic swimming, but he has ruined it so much for me that I have to watch with the sound turned off. His partner is OK but he needs someone to put a gag in his mouth.
Thoughts?
2 AnswersOlympics5 years agoA question about landlord/tenant law in Michigan?
Hello. I've been renting an apartment for 12 years and just recently some kids moved into the apartment above mine and they are making a racket. They stay up all night every Saturday and some Fridays, partying with a gang of their friends, and it's impossible for me to sleep.
I've made multiple complaints to the management and these tenants have been sent warning letters, but they continue to do the same thing. The leasing manager suggested that I call the police. She said if there's a record of a police visit this would provide good evidence needed to evict them. However, I don't feel like I can do that. The noise they are making is inside the apartment, not outside, and I'm the only person who can hear it. They're not doing anything illegal, just incredibly aggravating. It doesn't seem to me to be a police matter.
My question is, can't they be evicted without my calling the police? What sense would it make for the management to keep these kids here and lose me (which is about to happen)? The next tenant who moves into my apartment will have the same complaints.
Thoughts? Or advice from someone who knows about this? You would think I would know, having been here for 12 years, but this is the first time I've been able to hear ANYTHING from that upstairs apartment.
5 AnswersRenting & Real Estate6 years agoDoes anyone agree that it s time for the "ebola nurse" to stop talking?
She s had her moment in the spotlight, 15 minutes of fame, been interviewed on CNN, given a press conference and spoken at length about her opinions, which were only minimally interesting at the height of her fame. She s like a college sophomore who just discovered he s against racism or economic inequality and wants to tell the world. Congratulations!! Now she s "settled" her lawsuit over the grievous injustice she suffered at the hands of the evil government. That might ve been the end, but now today s headline is "Tthe fight is not over." Ummm........please let it be over? There s dignity when a person of marginal intellect fades back into the gentle obscurity that richly suits her. Isn t there a group of birds nesting in a tree whose exploits we can follow instead?
3 AnswersOther - Society & Culture7 years agoMuslims: What do you think about ISIS?
I've been reading about ISIS and was just wondering what "mainstream" Muslims think about this group. Does the group in any way speak for you or say something you think needs to be said, or are they using your faith to promote ends you don't agree with? What do you think most Muslims would say about this group?
1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality7 years agoWhy won't my iPad access the Internet through my desktop computer?
I have an iPad but no Internet on it, and no WiFi. My desktop computer has Internet, so I thought if I plugged my iPad into that, I could access Safari, the app store, etc., on my iPad, but it doesn't work. Why not?
2 AnswersComputer Networking7 years agoWhere can I get a horrific garden sculpture?
OK, you guys have gotta help me with this. I realize it's totally immature but it's going to lower my blood pressure. I've been having a dispute with my upstairs neighbor over my part of our garden area. Traditional methods such as discussing, taking it to the landlord, etc., haven't worked. He's this annoying old guy who has NOTHING to do all day but come downstairs when I'm at work and mess around with my garden plot. I realize it's not the crime of the century. But it makes me feel somewhat powerless and, thus, slightly depressed.
I can't think of any other conventional methods to resolve things. And I'm not the sort of person to key someone's car or turn the TV up super loud to annoy him. I've come up with something a bit more sublime. There's a small part of the garden that he can't access, though he can see it. I want to obtain the ugliest, most god-awful, nauseating garden sculpture to put in that spot. If I know it's bothering him every day I'll be able to laugh at the rest of it instead of getting mad.
That's where you come in! Can anyone point me to some truly horrific ideas on this? Have you seen any garden ornaments you really REALLY hated that I might be able to get at a garden store or something? I appreciate any comments or suggestions.....................
1 AnswerPsychology7 years agoWhy do people say "whenever" when they mean "when"?
This is a major grammar pet peeve of mine. Lately I've noticed more and more people saying "whenever" when they mean "when". They'll say something like, "Whenever the movie ended, I left the theater"; or "Whenever I walked in, my friends surprised me", etc.
"Whenever" suggests that you're talking about a pattern of events, or multiple times that a thing occurred, not just one event, but it seems like a lot of people don't understand that. They'll be referring to one specific event. Instead of saying, "My parents were proud when I graduated" they'll say "My parents were proud whenever I graduated." They don't mean to suggest that they graduated more than once!
I can usually understand how most ignorant grammar errors come to happen, but this one I can't figure out. Why and how does anyone mix "whenever" up with "when"??
1 AnswerWords & Wordplay7 years agoWhy do we have to watch TV everywhere we go?
This may be more a question for older people, but am I the only one who is bothered by the fact that TV screens seem to be popping up everywhere? The gas station I go to recently put TVs in the pumps so now this stupid thingis blaring the whole time I'm pumping gas. When I go to the doctor's office they have a big-screen TV in the waiting room. Even on buses now.....if you go on a cross-country bus ride, forget about quietly enjoying the landscape. You're going to be watching TV. The waiting room at the car dealership has a big-screen TV. Even sometimes I'll be driving down the highway and a stupid minivan in front of me will have a TV in the back.
ENOUGH ALREADY!!! Just because we have the technology to watch TV everywhere we go, doesn't mean this is a good idea. What ever happened to just quietly gathering your thoughts, contemplating your surroundings, or...perish the thought.......actually TALKING with other people?
More and more our society is reminding me of "1984". It's like we're moving toward a world where we're perpetually plugged into machines and trying to become a part of them.
8 AnswersEtiquette7 years agoHow can I remove a song from my iPod?
I put an album on my iPod and since then all of the songs from that album have become corrupted somehow. Every time one of them comes on it won't play and then my iPod freezes for a few seconds, and it's really annoying. I want to remove these songs from my iPod but I don't know how. Thanks!
3 AnswersMusic & Music Players7 years agoGuys, a question?
Let's say I sing in a band and our leader needed someone to carry his guitar from one room to another, so he asked one of the other instrumentalists and not me. Would this be because he didn't want to impose on me by asking, or because he doesn't trust me to carry it?
YES this is the kind of thing we girls worry about......
Any thoughts?

1 AnswerYahoo Answers7 years agoWhy can't guys leave their hair alone?
I'm not sure Etiquette is the right category for this, but I'd really like to hear from some guys. I know how we women feel about being, for example, fat. And as someone who's on the fat side I know the lengths I go to to try to look thinner. And of course to me this makes sense. But today I began wondering whether guys feel this way about their hair. I was at a store and saw this guy (a relatively young guy) with the most ridiculous combover I've ever seen. It was hard not to laugh.
It started me wondering whether guys who are losing their hair feel the same way fat women do. If so I'm sympathetic, but I'd like to give them some advice: STOP IT!!! There is NOTHING unattractive about a man with thinning hair, a man with a monk's fringe, or even (horrors) a bald man. In fact, a confident bald man can be as attractive (or even more so) than a man with a full head of hair; acting like he doesn't care what the world thinks is a turn-on to a lot of us. But guys who mess with their heads to cover baldness...........combovers, "big hair", ponytails, coloring their hair, spiking their hair, etc etc etc., are just inviting pity. We see these things and immediately picture you standing in front of the mirror asking yourself what you can do today to hide your scalp from us. The best response is feeling sorry for you; at worst we wait until we get outside and collapse in laughter. You may hate me for saying this, but wouldn't you rather know the truth?
2 AnswersEtiquette7 years agoWill my fuel lines freeze?
I have a 2012 Honda Accord Coupe, and right now it's extremely low on gas. The weather forecast says we will go to -1 tonight, and my car will be outside, so needless to say it will be cold.
I've heard that in cold temperatures you shouldn't let a car be that low on gas, or the "fuel lines might freeze." I've also heard that this is an old wives' tale that isn't true, or that it's true with some cars but not with Hondas.
So I'm not sure what to do. I REALLY don't want to go out to get gas tonight, so do you think it would be OK if I wait until morning to get gas?
Thanks!
