I just opened a student checking acc at us bank. I recently started a program. I applied with my nickname. I go by my nickname so every time I receive a check, it doesn't have my legal or birth name on it. My name's Georgia on my legal documents but I go by May. So my question is could I deposit my check with a different name on it?

So. I applied to a tech program here in Silicon Valley but I have no interest in tech, I don't want to pursue anything related to tech. I'd rather do dentistry but we don't have good medical programs out here considering its pretty tech orientated here. College is crazy pricey. I'd go to college but I can't afford it. I don't know what to do. I have this amazing opportunity but at the same time I don't want to pursue tech. I know people who did this program and are now doing internships at Google, twitter, etc. But man, I'm just so conflicted with this. I'm 19. I could use some advice. Do I just be grateful and go for the opportunity? Or not?

The interview was going great. I was controlling my stuttering, I had good body language and then I was asked a question about my years during homeschooling. I choked up and cried. The interviewer brought me tissues. You see I was going through depression and anxiety. Those were dark days. I failed to control my emotions. He appreciated my openness and praised it but I know it was inappropriate no matter how personal the question was, I let my emotions get the best of me. I answered the question after I wiped my tears of course but man I didn't think I'd cry! It was my first ever interview BTW.

My dads side of the family is very experienced with management and business. My grandmother and her sons owned and managed a motel for a decade and every Sunday my dad would fill in for her bringing me along with him. I would often deal with guests.

My other grandma and grandad also owned and managed a hotel for a few years. My uncle managed a motel too. So I know how it works. I understand the late night shifts, staying friendly and professional with rude customers, keeping guests satisfied, booking rooms, complaints, etc. I never got a paycheck lol but I did cover for my dad a few times. I don't have the education (recent hs graduate) If I provide proof and references of the motels/hotels my family owned and where I also covered, does that count as experience? Thanks.

My sis will be graduating high school soon. I want to do a few things to make her stand out on her big day.. Nothing that would risk suspension of course. Would buying a bullhorn be too much? Lol I want to be really loud. Would hooking up balloons and confetti and dropping them from the ceiling while she accepts her diploma be too crazy? I was really ignored on my graduation day and it made me feel pretty down. I want her to have one day for herself and I am known to be a prankster so I gotta add some spice.. Lol

Oh and Were you one of those popular kids.. You know that kid that the whole school knows and loves and gets a standing ovation? Did your parents or attendees go all out?

I'll share mine... So i went to a charter school but i was apart of the homeschooling program along with other kids so our graduation for me was awkward since i didnt know anyone that well.. but we all got a graduation. Most homeschooling kids don't. My graduation last yr was the same day as the last NBA finals game so as I was walking down accepting my diploma, my parents, sister and brother were too busy watching the game on their phone. My mom got into a fight with a restaurant guy while we had dinner. Fun night.

My little sister and brother are graduating this year. My little sis is graduating 5th grade while my brother is graduating the 8th. I know what I'll be getting for my sis lol girls are easy but goys are tough. What do 14 year old kids like?

My period normally lasts from 6-7 days sometimes 5. However, I got my period on Friday, today (Monday) right now, I went to change my pad I wore overnight and it was white as a cloud. Not a drop. It's weird because yesterday afternoon, it was pretty fresh, red. How? I don't keep track of my period. I get it every month like every other woman. I'm 18 BTW, no I'm not on medication, not sexually active, no drugs, etc.

Okay so I'm doing a presentation with slides (which I have no idea how to do) for my speech class. The title is "Conflicts in the workplace". I've already written the summary, luckily for my writing skills, the summary isn't the problem. I've never done a presentation before and I don't know how to make a slide or what photos I should use. Help would be real nice right about now. Thanks guys!

Okay so I'm gonna start a 9-month program very soon. This program doesn't have a specific dress code however people dress super sophisticated and professional looking. I need help on what type of sophisticated clothing I need. Dont recommended skirts please. I'm a girl in case you guys didn't notice lol. I'm more of a casual girl with edge but I'm willing to compromise. Thanks!

I have no clue what i wanna do though, I hope to transfer to UC Davis since I believe it to be a great school and its right near my residence lol.

I have to have something sweet but nothing crazy. Im trying to eat healthy right now so are red vines OK to eat?? Is it "healthy"? Id rather have this then go buy a 160 calorie chocolate bar lol. Just saying.

I'm the third oldest of 5 siblings. We're kinda a dysfunctional family meaning we've been through a lot as a family. We're doing well now. When my oldest brother got into deep trouble, (he still has his own issues, attitude problem, baby mama drama, etc.) we all struggled with it and we moved a lot, however now years later I don't have a relationship with my older brothers (we all still live together as a family) but that's it.

I feel like everyone is super different and individual in their own way and together, well it just doesn't mix well. None of us have a simple conversation, just hey whats for dinner or something random. Us 5 still fight like siblings though, but if we didn't live together, they would feel like strangers to me. I hate this. I hate how we all live together and supposed to be a family but instead we all literally feel oblivious to one another. We were close when we were kids but now its just everyone does their own thing. How can I change this??
