I have looked at the Income Tax Act and cannot find a section on this. Is this just the ATO's opinion? On what authority do they impose this rule?

I have a single member LLC with one full time employee. I do not work full time in the business myself but have my own full time job and run the business "on the side". The employee is paid through my bank's online payroll service, gets a W2, health insurance etc. My problem is that I misunderstand all the implications of electing to be taxed as an S corp. Someone told me that it was possible to hook up an Xbox 360 (or a Wii) to a computer and TV and show the PC desktop on teh the television screen. In other words, get the same effect as a data projector. Sounds too good to be true! Does anybody know if this is really possible? If so, how exactly would it be done? If it is not true, any other suggestions for using a redundant Xbox 360 that is not wanted for Xbox gaming?

A friend of mine is considering starting a Liberty Tax franchise. Does anyone have experience and know whether these are good business opportunities or not?

IN PARTICULAR - What is the typical investment? What is the typical return? Liberty are supplying him with lots of info on franchisee support, Liberty's growth and hsitory, etc, - but it is hard to get any independent info on the real numbers involved.
