Can an XBox 360 or Wii really be used as a data projector?

Someone told me that it was possible to hook up an Xbox 360 (or a Wii) to a computer and TV and show the PC desktop on teh the television screen. In other words, get the same effect as a data projector. Sounds too good to be true! Does anybody know if this is really possible? If so, how exactly would it be done? If it is not true, any other suggestions for using a redundant Xbox 360 that is not wanted for Xbox gaming?

with most modern tvs you can do that without a wii... just take the monitor cable and put it in the rgb input on the tv...

but with a wii they were probably talking about homebrew apps. you can find a description and database on these at www.wiibrew.org

    hope this helps
