  • Anyone have advice for someone going to work from home full time with an toddler and infant to care for?

I am going to have another baby, and my toddler will just be turning two. I have to work due to finances and already work from home with my toddler. She does very well, but I am kind of worried about splitting my time between work and my soon-to-be two daughters. Has anyone ever done this before?

  • When did your toddler learn to fall asleep by themself?

I am definitely not a fan of the whole cry-it-out thing, and I read from several different resources that a child will eventually learn to fall asleep by themself. I read the "No Cry Sleep Solution" but it didn't work for us. My daughter still nurses to sleep at 15 months and wakes up about 3 times a night to nurse back to sleep. I've tried not feeding her, but she cries and wakes up all the way, and then I am up for hours with her, because she can't fall back asleep. Have any of you gotten your toddler to learn to sleep without crying and how old please? Did it just come naturally or did you have to push it a little (or a lot) LOL. Thanks everyone.

  • Can anyone help me to think of a good party favor for my daughter's first birthday party?

I have decided to do the theme with Baby Einstein. I will only have three babies, which I will purchase Baby Einstein toys for, and I need something to go with the theme for the adults. I was thinking something for "smart people" since the whole "Einstein" part of it. Please help me!!!

  • Can a baby teach herself how to walk?

My baby is 9 months old and a great crawler and has been walking around holding onto furniture. We haven't encouraged her much into walking, because I heard that babies who crawl longer will do better in school (old wives tale?). If I just let her continue, do you think she will learn to walk all by herself?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

  • Has anyone used a "sidecar" attachment for their baby?

My baby is 8 months old, and I recently took one side of her crib off and put it between the wall and our bed (to move her out of our bed). Well, that worked fine for a couple weeks, but now she thinks it is fun to pull up to a standing position right next to the edge of the bed and crib. My husband put the side of the crib back on, but she wakes every time I place her in there. Has anyone ever done this before without the side of the crib on? How did you have the baby nap? I have also tried making a barricade of pillows where the crib meets the bed while she's asleep. I just don't know if that is enough.

  • Three y/o unpotty trains his self?

My three y/o nephew has gone #2 in the potty for a LONG time now but lately he has gone #2 in his underwear. It is like the last 5 days! Two of the times it was after church. My sis-in-law just sees him holding his bottom (the back of his pants). And she doesn't know what to do.

  • Can a 6 month old with no teeth eat noodles?

My 6 month old has no teeth, but I would like to start her on some food. I have tried a lot of baby food fruits with her and yogurt. She doesn't seem to impressed with any of those. I don't think I will try baby cereal just because of all the bad things I have heard. So can I try soft noodles like spaghetti?

  • Teaching child foreign Language and Sing Language Simultaneously.?

I want to teach my daughter (3 months) how to speak portuguese. My husband is from Brazil, and I have just picked it up over the years. So I will try to speak to her only in portuguese, but I also want to use ASL with her. Will I confuse her if I do both? We have been watching Signing time, and of course, that's all in English. Please, no guesses, just answer from experience or know-how only. Thank you so much.

  • How can I help my husbands back injury?

My husband hurt his back playing basketball 10 days ago. Up until Friday, he was able to walk around, but still with pain. All of a sudden he had excruciating pain on Friday morning, and he has been unable to leave bed since then. He keeps having muscle spasms, and I think it is sprained. He has been taking Tylenol and Doan's for the pain. Also we've tried a heating pad, IcyHot, cold packs. What can I do to speed his recovery along? Thanks in advance for your advice.

  • Blood clot and pain 3 weeks postpartum???

I passed a blood clot this afternoon the size of a small egg and have pain in the vaginal area. Has anyone experienced this before at 3 weeks postpartum? I did call my doctor's office, but I had to leave a voicemail. I wanted to see your opinions while I am still waiting for a call back.

  • Replacement "let down massage cushion" Avent ISIS?

Does anyone know how I can get a replacement let down massage cushion for the Avent Isis IQ pump? I bought a gently used one off of Ebay, and it was missing that part. I called Avent and that is the only part they will not replace. Nobody is selling that part on ebay either. This is my first baby and I really think that extra part will help. Thanks for your answers! :)

  • Has anyone missed work due to stress?

I am 21 wks pregnant, and feeling stressed to the limit. It feels like it's taken a toll on my body, so I called into work. I hate missing work, because I know they need me. I felt awful this morning-usual preg. symptoms-headache, tired, and muscle aches. Am I wrong for calling in?

  • Did your dog's behaviour change when you became pregnant?

My dog, who is two years old has been potty trained very well. But now I am 4 1/2 months pregnant, she sneaks off and makes a mess on the rug. Both #1 and #2--sorry if TMI. Could she be jealous or know something is going on? Please tell me your experiences.
