I used to be really fashion forward. Looking cute was a priority. However, over the past two years school got really difficult. I was taking really hard classes and staying up all night studying. Therefore, I kind of lost my style. I stopped looking cute and just focused on my work. I really want to get back in style, but I do not really know what trends are in at the moment. How can I update my look?

Also, what should I do with my hair? I used to straighten it every day. It is dark brown and somewhat long (to my boob).

I know this is probably a really common question around here, but I thought I should ask it anyway. (obviously Ive been watching if your really knew me). I guess I'm just curious about how common certain issues truly are, and how many people face similar issues as I do.

Why should the US NOT intervene in a humanitarian crises?

Okay, I am 16, and I am in band. (I play Oboe, woot! )Last year, when I went to high school, I got moved up to a better band. This was my freshmen year. This is also when my mom became OBSESSED with band, and my band instructor....I really hate it.

You see, she first met him at an open house. That when she started volunteering for everything. And thats when the emails started. (Yeah, she emails my band teacher every day). Shes never volunteered in anything...ever.

Now that I think about it thou, last year she wasnt that embarrassing. She did get a band sweatshirt, that only the students wear, and got it printed to say "Band Mom" on it..but compared to this year. Thats really not that bad. Every time I would talk bad about my director she would yell at me.

Really, my director is kind of an *** thou. And he is very lazy. He doesent always teach. If I made that point, she would yell at me and say "No, he's just busy Benji!" You need to stop being so negative." Okay, If my director is a TEACHER what else would he busy with....besides TEACHING. The whole band talks bad about him thou, and thinks hes a creep, because he is.

But he emials my mom everyday, Im gonna give it the benefit of the doubt..and think its about band stuff. But really I have no idea, since I dont know the password to my moms email. Its so weird. She would also come in during my class last year...and she always gets dressed up, when she goes in.

Thats as embarrasing as it got thou. Of course the kids always asked why my mom is so weird, but what can I say.

Than at the end of the year I had a recital and got to play a solo piece. My mom invited this band director, and he brought his terrible bratty kids (He's married...so is my mom). One of the kids yelled during my solo. I was so mad, my mom got mad that I was mad, she thought it was no big deal...but it was to me.

Ever since that night she also obsessed with the kids. She will buy them things, and bring them candy, and takes any oppurtunity she can to babysit them. Even at my school. In front of the band class. She will dote on them in front of the band class. Everyone is like "wtf?" And I cant say anything, since thats my mom. My mom doesent even pay for my haircuts, yet she will by those kids random things.

My mom is an artist, and she paints portraits. She painted my teacher a FREE one of his kids. He didnt even ask for it. She also has pictures of them on her phone..she doesent even have pictures of me at prom on her phone, or pictures of me playing oboe on her phone.

Now she starts showing up more and more often to my classes, and last week we had a competition..she rode on the bus with us to the competition. No other parents were there. Since they werent really invited. But some how she weasled her way in to coming.

She hates my girlfriend, who is also in band. Im not sure why. She is a Christian, is in all honors AP classes, and doesent do drugs...like me :) and shes really nice too. My mom doesent even let her come over. You see, her mom is slightly involved in band too, and somewhat volunteers. My mom once told me that her mom is "only being nice to me, because she wants to be the more involved parent" this is not true at all. It sucks.

I have also worked hard in maintaining my grades because I wasnt to graduate with honor. But I cant. A class that I need to take in order to graduate with honors is scheduled at the same time as Band, I asked my mom if I could drop band for one year just so I could take it. That caused a major on going fight. But I finally gave in...so no honors for me. :( which I really wanted. Honestly, I dont even like band anymore. Its not my major.I wanted to major in biology. (I also cant take AP Biology next year..since that is also at the same time as band class). It sucks.

All the kids make fun of how weird my mom is, and I never say anything back. Today I got yelled at, because I found out the directors kids were coming over, and I said "Why do they always come over here?" and she didnt like that comment. Me and my mom used to never fight, but it seems like all our conversations are revolved around band, and I hate it. Its either that or how much she hates me gf, or any other involved parent.

My ex girlfirend, and I were great together, we dated for about 7 months. Last week, she randomly breaks up with me, without really giving a reason. I asked why, but she never replied. (Yeah, It was over text). Well. Today, she is dating my best friend. My best friend of 4 years, who is in percussion with me. (she's also in band, but not percussion...thank goodness). So not only did I loose a girlfriend, but a best friend as well. And I found out that my other best friend, never told me that she was having sex with other dudes, including my bestfriend who shes dating now.

And, me and her have never had sex, she never told me se wanted to.

Oh, and she wont talk to, and avoids me at school. I didnt do anything.

Just felt like ranting, have you ever been ina situation like this? This sucks.

I have to write a formal essay on Othello as a tragic hero, and I was wondering if I could email you my paper thus far. I need help on how Othello grows through his misfortune at the end of the play thou.

I asked this girl (Jenny) who is in my Algebra 3 class on a date, and she said yes! It's tonight and I am taking her to the movies. She is 15, I'm 16

What should I wear? Should I wear a suit? or maybe a tuxedo? What color tie should I wear?

I have 3 different suits to choose from. One is black,one is pinstriped, and the other is brown. I have two tuxedos White and Black.

I have been very very unhappy since about the end of December, and I have 3 relatives in my family who suffer from depression. After looking symptoms and causes, I am almost certain that I as well have deppression. Not sure what kind since all three family members have differant types.

I was wondering if there is any way at all to cure deppression without going on any sort of medication? I have tried getting involved, going out, everything..but at the end of the day I feel just as bad as I did the night before.

I know it sounds pretty dumb, but for some reason I have a huge crush on this boy at my school, and have on and off for a while. We have never ever spoken to one another, and we have no mutual friends in person.

Now, we are both in highschool and he is a year ahead of me. We have no classes together, but I do sometimes see him at school occasionally when switching classes.

How do I talk to him without being creepy? haha, I don't want to just randomly approach him.

We haven't ever spoken, we are hpwever facebook friends. He liked my status once, but that's it.
