I have been married to a man for 8 yrs who treats me very well, is helpful, kind and caring. He has a 25 year old daughter who never liked me from the beginning and has even cut me out of her life with her children. I have done nothing but try to be more then amicable to her, going out of my way to get her what she needs even tolerate her abusive boyfriend. I feel I can't talk to my husband about this as it always turns into a crying match. My mom just passed away a few weeks ago so there isn't anyone I am close enough to to talk with. Other then this one subject my husband and I are great. What can i do to keep getting in to this situation?

Are there any honest publishers out there any more who don't ask for money to publish your book. I think I made a mistake with publishamerica by agreeing to let them publish my book. Does this mean I can't send the book to other authors? Am I really a published author if they say they have my book ready for sales?

I have sent my manuscript to a publisher in October 2009. I have heard from them three times since. They even sent me an earnest dollar and contract. I sent two inquires of how my story was going in December and January because they say someone is working on my book and will contact me after a week.
