I am a rising high school senior and i want to go to med school. i heard that the mcats and your undergrad gpa matters a lot. since your gpa matters a lot, should i --

go to a less prestigious university where it is easy (not as dificult) to maintain a high gpa and be in the top 10% of the class

or

go to a prestigious university like upenn, johns hopkins or univeristy of washing in st louis and have a not as good gpa and be in the middle rank of the class?

I will be a junior in september, and i took the practice psat and got a 186.

I know my psat score is really low and I really want to be a national merit scholar.

Do you think it is possible/realistic for me to increase my score up to at least a 214 by October?

Also, should I dedicate my summer to studying for the Psats? or just start studying for sats/acts instead? Also, I think I will proabably end up taking the ACTs instead of the SATs so is it really worth it to study the PSATs?

I am a sophmore (going to be a junior next year). I took the practice SAT already and my score is really bad (i got a 520 on my critical reading). The problem is that I'm not good with reading comprehension and tend to lose focus, especially on the long boring readings. Any tips to increase comprehension and focus?
