my a/c went on the fritz this summer, finally got them to put r-22 in it, after telling me that as of jan. 1, 2010 I can't get it anymore and that I would have to buy a 3 ton unit to replace it per the clean air act. my house is only 926 sq ft, sounds like overkill and scare tactics to a single woman. any help and info would be appreciated.

Found the most beautiful female black stray "setter" for adoption at the shelter. Got to bring her home today after they wormed, vaccinated and spayed her (all for $25). She has a soft touch with her mouth and her soft, smooth, wavy coat reminds me of a golden retriever but she is black. Can anyone tell me of the temperment of a retriever?

She is sooo sweet. I lost my 10 y/o dog last yr and my 3 y/o cat and I just moved into a home with a fenced in back yard last month. So far the cat rules the roost on the first night but I want to make sure that they can get along so want to know about the breed. Any help would be appreciated.

Just moved into a new home. Moved my 2 cats and 1 got out and hasn't been seen since (3 wks) I still have hope that the "wild" 1 that got out will show up at the old place. "We" had a dog that passed in the spring of this yr so the remaining cat is feeling very lonely. I leave the TV on during the day while I'm at work but he misses his "brother" that kept him company when they lost their "sister". I would like to get a doberman puppy to give the cat someone to play with. I have had 2 in the past and want a shorthair vs the longhair we just lost this yr. Do you think this is a good idea?

Ok, I have 2 cats. 1 is a gold tabby and 1 is black. I find that I pull a lot of ticks off of the tabby and rarely any on the black. I live in the country and both roam (both males neutered at 6 mths). Has anyone heard of a certain color of cat attracting more ticks than another? If anyone has an idea for the difference in the # of ticks, I would appreciate it.

I just told my mother that I will not come to her house because my 46 y/o alcohlic sister is staying with her because she has lost everything because of the way she is. I thought that we (mother, niece and myself) were going to have sis get a psyc. eval last wkend but I was told not to come because my sister blames everything on me. I agreed not to go, guess what, no-one went!. She has been a drunk since she was 12 and blaming me for everything. Our father has not spoken to her in over 5 years because of her abuse to him and his new family. She physically assaulted me in her home and I had to call 911 and go to the hospital to be checked out. I am trying to figure out which one is making me choose-my mother for taking her in or my sister for using my mother. By the way sis has stolen money etc from the parents and mom always covers the bad checks sis writes. I feel that her living there has driven a wedge between my mother and myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I filed for an extension, paid a rough estimate for both fed and state. do I use the 1040 form to file now or do I need another form. 4/15 wiped out my accounts with the estimates. Had 1099 contract labor and 1099 debt relief along w/ W-2's. The 1099's killed me. I need to know what forms to fill out to go ahead and get this behind me. have never done this b4

Need help. My sister has been an alcoholic since her teens, now 46. staying at our mom's drunk & passed out. mom is at her wit's end. Sis has been in AA 15+yrs (aka sponsor of the month), rehab ? times, attacked both myself (police called) and her daughter. dropped charges cause of mom. what can we do in OK to get her classified as mentally ill. problem is she is smart as a whip and fools everyone when sober. Love her but she is killing not only herself but her family. our dad has not spoken with her in over 6 yrs because of her behavior towards his new wife & our 1/2 brothers. she can't keep a job or a husband/boyfriend because of her behavior.

My dad & step-mom will deed part of their farm over to me to replace the 30+ y/o mobile home that I rent. Stipulation is that the property converts to them/heirs if I move. I can move a newer mobile home or house on the property but I can not find a sample of a deed to complete the deal. Does anyone have any idea to find a sample.

Step-father passed in Aug. & Mom wants to get her daughters names on the deed in order to bypass probate. According the assessors office, we need a general warranty deed. Need a sample of that also.

Any help would be appreciated. Everything is in the state of Oklahoma.

i thought that i had a "job" being "hired" by a lawyer. the other lawyers (not part of the firm but renting space in the office) were paying my "employer" for hrs of the wk I did work for them regardless of whether on not i did work those hrs for them. they need to be able to "expense" the cost. i think that i was an "employee" vs a "contract" however regardless of my tax situation (which does not look good) i want the other 2 lawyers to be able to decuct their costs

when received 1st ck was told contracted not employee, will receive 1099 v w-2. how to file taxes. any way to fight status
