I am a wife, (31yr) mom, (5 kids17-31) nana (5 grands soon to be 6 ). I was an insurance agent, I am a stay at home mom, I had to wait until 4 were already grown to be able to enjoy that. Being nana keeps me busy, atleast one of the kids seem to always be around. Nana is better than being mom,( I do love being mom also) but nana's get all the hugs, the grands think your GREAT. You can spoil them rotten, then send them home. You rarely have to say NO! WONDERFUL! I enjoy cooking, baking mostly. I do several different crafts that I sell on etsy.com, I love to go camping w/ my husband & son, they go fish or hunt- I stay at camp & enjoy all the sights & sounds of nature, you can't beat a good bonfire either. The solitude is great, after raising 5 noisy, boisterous kids the quiet is heaven. We lost one of our sons 3 yr ago (car acc.) so somedays are still pretty tough, so I try hard to stay busy. I miss him terribly.Love you my Chris. But time marches on, & here I am on Yahoo!!

  • Filed a SAPCR suit and had a temporary order in place, let drop 2 yr for want prosecute do I file in new court?

WE live in Texas. My husband & I filed a SAP CR suit in Bell county and a temporary order was granted in 08/2005. We left our daughter as Joint managing conservator with us having right to choose residence The father was absent in child's life and continues to be. We know we have to notify him of a new SAPCR and will have him served, he signed a waiver agreeing to previous order.. In 07/2007 we let the order dismiss for want prosecute, she was doing well, married, had a new child and no longer on drugs. We moved to Brazos county when the first order was filed. We had to file where we had lived the previous 6 months and where she continues to reside. She had a new drug poss charge in 05/2010 which she is on probation for now,.On 02/15/2011 she was arrested and charged with 3 drug poss charges so this is now her 3rd offense and also a case has been filed with DFPS because she had her daughter present. DFPS placed her with us.The child the temporary order involved has continued to live with us, we had a power of attorney over him, but with DFPS involvement we know we need to file a SAPCR suit again so that we can protect him from being made a part of their case and possibly removed from us if she does not comply with their demands. Since the other order was dismissed, do I need to file in the original court and ask for a case transfer or do I just file in Brazos county and state there was a temporary order that we let dismiss and include a copy of our court order? Any help would be appreciated as we really need to file this case pro se since we do not have the $7,000.00 needed for attorney fees since we are now responsible for both kids financially and probably will be for the next year or two.She will probably do at least a year in jail over this. Her probation's of course being revoked and she will sit in jail until she bonds out or goes to trial. Her husband is in Army and in Iraq until June or July and we are not sure what DFPS does when he returns if they give him his child or possibly could give him both since he is step parent, another reason to obtain a new court order concerning our grand son.

  • What is the difference in common law marriage and marriage in the state of Texas?

My son & his girlfriend went online to see what was required to get married in the state of Texas. There were two different types of marriages listed, common law marriage and marriage. I do understand that in the state of Texas that same sex marriage is not recognized and this is a way to register the marriage for legal purposes. But for a heterosexual couple I didn't understand where the difference came in, or why you needed to register a common law marriage and pay a fee. I always thought that a common law marriage meant that a couple had chosen to live together if they introduced each other as their spouse or filed a tax return together stating they were married that was all that you had to do and that you still had to go through a divorce to dissolve the marriage. Is this no longer the law? This is in the state if Texas where common law marriage is legal also.

  • If CPS removes kids what is the time spent w/CPS before kids given to grandparents, what happens kids until the?

My daughter's addicted to script drugs, and has had 3 car wrecks ( totaled one car, over 10 grand damage 2 other times) all wrecks are her fault & shes high each time, on 11/02, 12/31,01/29 . Her husband is in the army, he's a staff Sargent, he knows that shes high & allows his daughter to leave w/ the mom( doesn't stop them) each wreck. We call the army chaplain in jan, he talks to him and his commanding officer ( he convinces them theres no problem) WE call them again in feb because things haven't changed, 2 chaplains confront him & my daughter & His CO. They tell them they will get help for the drug problem and they can handle it. Yesterday I . go see chaplain in person( drive 100 miles to talk in person) & show evidence of 8 scripts of so ma bought from internet from 12/28 - 03/15 scripts of 120 each time.. He says he can talk to son in law & he either can agree to get my daughter help (which probably means a treatment program in patient) 30- 90 days. If he refuses, the chaplain calls CPS to report that kids are in unsafe place. How long does it take for us to get kids from CPS, one child is her husbands bio child she s 2 1/2 yr, our grandson is not& his bio dad not part of his life) we also had custody of him from age 1- age 4 ( will be six in mAy) we gave back custody to daughter because we thought all was good now.Dec was a year ago.. Our grandson has spent 90% of his life in our home. He considers this home. Our daughter moved away 13 mo ago & took him with her, he has had a bad time transitioning & doesn't want to be there & he knows mom does drug. So since moving there we have had him every other week, he just alternates living between there & here. MOm doesn't want him to come here anymore now because he told us about the drugs. Our son in law has promised us repeatedly that he would get daughter help & hasn't. If he doesn't cooperate and the kids are taken how long do kids have to stay with CPS until we can get them. There is no one else to take the kids except us especially the child that isn't our daughters husband. So we're it. We don't the kids to be in this situation period, but if they are what do we need to do to get them safely with us asap. I am terrified of the trauma they will go through, especially our grandson who knows tahat we will always take care of him he never has to worry about being cared for. ( A big fear this last year of his)

  • I want to know if a landlord can keep my overpaid rent? This is in Texas, they have a security deposit already?

The house we were renting was set up on military allotment. It didn't get stopped on time. So it paid my March rent there. I am three days late moving out and am willing to let them keep the fair amount for rent. I have a security deposit up to cover any damages and yes there are some ( I have 2 kids, some coloring on a wall, broken window, and a hole where the door slams against the sheet rock) but my deposit more than covers damages. I asked them to refund my rent as I need to pay my rent on new place, they said when they got around to it if my damages were less than my deposit & rent. It could take 3o or so days they said. I need my money back asap as this put us in a big bind. This is a property rental company handling the house.

  • How can I report a fraudulent auto insurance claim to USAA insurance company?

I know of a USAA insurance client who has filed a fraudulent claim on their insurance. In fact two of them in a two month time span, the first claim they lied about who was the driver of the vehicle at time of accident (real driver had a suspended license) The second one they lied to the adjuster by not revealing their license was suspended, they lied about the circumstances ( they didn't reveal they didn't call police because they were under the influence) they did admit to rear ending the other vehicle but also lied about the exact circumstances and parties involved. And they still haven't filed a police report or accident report to the DMV when required by Texas law when car is undrivable from scene and over $1,000. in damages, the damages to both vehicles exceeded $15,000.00. I can't figure out why USAA didn't investigate. The driver of the other vehicle had a complete different story than the client who was at fault, such as the at fault driver begged them not to call police or report it because they were high and holding illegal drugs, since the driver had baby with her she plead the other girls sympathy that she would go to jail and have her baby taken to CPS. The girl agreed out of sympathy .

  • Does auto insurance cover a Texas driver with a suspended license if they are in an at fault accident?

My daughter was driving her vehicle while her license was suspended in Texas, she rear ended another vehicle at a stop light her fault. They didn't call the police there is app.$9,000 damage to her car & $5,000 to the other vehicle. Her license was suspended for drug charge 2 yr previous, she took the course, got the sr22 but never mailed the $100. reinstatement fee to Austin, since then she got a driving while license suspended, she pd her fine, already had the sr 22, the judge just lifted that suspension but she didn't pay her $100. reinstatement fee to Austin then either. Now she has had this accident. Will her insurance still cover her?

  • when renting a car should cruise control be standard equipment on an intermediate car rental. Rented w/ AARP?

I rented a car through enterprise for a week , booked through AA RP, and told the service rep that I would be driving over a 1,000 miles one way, yet he failed to mention that the rental didn't have cruise control. I have never rented a car that didn't have it. There was no option on the request form, and personally never thought to ask if it came standard issue, the agent never suggested upgrade to a car that did have it. would you think Pontiac G5, Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Accent are autos that are similar when renting an intermediate auto. Passed up on Budget & economy rentals and chose the third level up Intermediate.

  • car rental class comparison, renting an intermediate car through enterprise should one expect cruise control?

I rented a car through enterprise for a week, intermediate level.Online says car comparison is Toyota corolla, pontiac G5 or nissan sentra.Used AARP on reservation, when car was picked up I got HYUNDAI accent, no cruise, power locks or windows. Manager knew that a 52 yr old woman was renting the car, driving 1,000 miles one way and never told her these facts, all he said was do you want extra ins. coverage, you have half tank of gas, no damage & initial here, nor did he say that the only person that can authorize car exchange in another location is the Gen. manager where car is rented, which theirs quit a mo. ago, so no one could exchange the car. Should I be upset & expect to be given a discount at all?

  • when rotating right foot clockwise why can't you draw an imaginary 6 in the air?

Sit in a chair facing forwards both feet on the ground. Lift your right foot and rotate it clockwise. While doing so try and draw the # 6 in mid air with your right hand. It's impossible. Does any one know the reason why not?

  • I have a spot on the white part of my eyeball (unsure of the name for the white part of the eye) cont. below?

It appears to be clear in color, and raised, looks like a blister a little. I haven't burned or gotten anything in my eye lately. It doesn't hurt just irritating. Feels as though I have a piece of debris in my eye. There are actually 2 places, one is close to the outside edge of the iris.My vision is slightly blurry not bad & watering a little. I have had surgery on that eye 20 yr. ago, shattered a crystal glass, a shard cut the pupil of the eye. Since then my vision has been poor in that eye due to scar tissue. No injuries to the eye lately. Might be helpful - I am a 51 yr. female, fairly good health, extremely active & haven't been ill lately. I do have bad night vision and cannot read any print without strong reading glasses. I can read signs, billboards& see cars. Don't worry everyone is safe for now. LOL Possibly a cataract? I'm not sure what to enter in the search engine to investigate possibilities on the internet. Any ideas? Yes, I will see the eye doctor ASAP. Curious until then.

my son was put on this med app 5mo. ago while in a treatment center, it has helped tremendously. Problem the Dr. must write a new script each month, had that done took it to fill the insurance co. said it was too soon, earliest 05/03 but not due until 05/10. Med was filled & delivered to treatment center according to insurance & pharmacy on his release date on 04/10 after he had left the place @ 8:25 am,we were there @ 7:30am no one delivered during that time frame.
