Does anybody know what to do for allergies in a doxie? I have had her to 2 Vets, bathed her in Oatmeal shampoo?
give her Benadryl, and nothing seems to work. After doing what the Vets tell me she goes right back to scratching. The allergy is on her tummy. Red dots like mosquito bites. We keep her protected with flee and tick medicine so it is NOT fleas. It is allergies, Is she going to have to be on medicine from now on? She is 2yrs. old and we never had a problem til this year. Help me if you can. Thanks!

17 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoI have a Dachshund that was a year old?
in June and she will tear up every toy with a squeaker in it that we have bought her. I bought her one that I just knew she would not be able to tear up, made of very tough material, but she kept on until she got to that squeaker. My question: How much longer is she going to be so destructive with her toys? We keep her something to chew on constantly. She has a Chi to play with and she doesn't chew on my furniture but she is bound and determined to destroy her squeak toys.

1 AnswerRespiratory Diseases1 decade agoWe lost our little 8 yr. old poodle last Friday and our?
18 month old chi is grieving so that she will not eat unless you feed her out of your hand and she will not drink water unless it is outside on the sidewalk or driveway. She will drink water from the condensation from the air conditioner but will not drink at all in the house. We have changed the bowls that they both ate from, thinking this would help but it did not. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
8 AnswersDogs1 decade agoI have a new hamster with "wet tail", a condition?
that I have never heard of. The place I bought her from put medicine in her water but I can't tell that she is drinking any of it. I tried giving her drops from a dropper and she bit me 3 times in the same place. I really hate to take her to the vet. but is that our only option? The man at the place we got her said she would drink the water because of her dehydration. He did not seem too concerned and said just give her several days. Has anyone else had any experience with this?

Can anyone offer some suggestions? She growls at us and I am afraid she will bite one of us. She will be 1yr old in Jan.
