  • Piercing Questions (Common answers for piercing questions here in YA)?

Here are the answers for common piercing questions here on the board from a professional from 12NI Group.

    1. Yea piercings hurt. It is a hollow needle passed through your skin, then a piece of metal is threaded into the end of the needle, then the needle is removed leaving the metal jewelry remaining.

    2. Yes, piercings will swell, that is why with most piercings, a piercer will use a piece of jewelry that is slightly bigger then the jewelry that would be normally worn in a piercing, leaving room for the skin to swell. After the healing period (usually 6-8 weeks) you can go back to your piercer and choose a piece of jewelry that suits your style.

    3. Surface piercings have a tendancy to reject. Even if you use the proper aftercare, they just do. The best way to reduce the risk of rejection is to use hot sea salt compresses on the area to increase the blood flow to the pierced skin, thus speeding up the skin's healing.

  • Problems with the father of my son?

OK, we are having a problem with my ex-husband and what he is doing with my son on the weekends he has him. My son is 6, and while he is at his dad's house, he is allowed to watch movies like Saw, Jackass, and cartoons like Bevis and Butthead, Ren and Stimpy, and South Park. These are not age appropriate for him, and it has gotten to the point that he is repeating things he hears and is getting in trouble of it. He has become a mean nasty little boy, but that is of no fault of his own. He even said "bite me" to me across the Easter table last night.

My ex-husband and I do not get along, and he does alot of things that I do not agree with (just the fact that he is 37 and his live-in girlfriend is 17 is enough to make my skin crawl....) and when I bring this up to him, it becomes a problem, and he blames me for being a bad mother.

I am at a loss of what to do.

  • For all of those who have asked this one, do you want to know the tattoo and piercing laws?

    http://tattoojoy.com/tattoo_laws/index.php

This is the link to every state's individual piercing and tattoo laws.

Please, look up your state and be familiar with it before you go into a shop and give the artists a hard time.

  • Invite wording from child?

I am a single mom to a 6 year old boy, and I will be getting married in March of 2008. My fiance and I once found on-line invitations that were from a child invition the guests to the wedding, and we cannot find it again. It was something along the lines of "My mom met this really great guy, and we really love him, so we want you to come to their wedding!!"

Does anyone know who carries these, or at least the wording for them?
