My best friend and I were fighting earlier. I made plans for us to go to the circus together. She forgot and made plans with someone else. She didn't tell me about it, try to invite me, or even apologize. In fact, she got mad at me for overreacting. I was looking forward to going all week long. Every time I try to make plans with her she does't want to or forgets. It seems like she doesn't even really want to be friends with me. But when we aren't doing anything, together, she's the most amazing person. She's the best friend anyone could ask for. She's my favorite person to be around.

Why is it that she's my rock and I'm just one of her friends?

Am I that weird friend that thinks we're besties and we're not or am I just way too needy?

Ps. I just watched Bride Wars, and for those who are less familiar with the film, it is about two best friends with a bond stronger than any spouse. And I want a friendship like that!!!

I have a mild case of social anxiety and shyness. I just want to get over it and be able to effectively communicate with other people, but whenever I'm there in the situation I freeze up and become the most awkward person on the planet. But sometimes I just don't talk because I frankly don't think I have anything to add to the conversation. Please help me.

I've been working on this for most of my life and I don't want to be the shy girl or the quiet girl or (especially) the awkward girl.

Hi I'm 13 years old going into 8th grade. I want to join dance classes (ex.ballet) but I'm not sure if I should because I'm so old and I've never done it before. Would it be worth it?

I had used nasal spray to breathe easier at night, and I guess I took too much... Well, now I'm stuck with these side effects and they're terrible!. I can barely breathe out of my nose, my stupid, runny, stuffed up nose, and I can't taste anything. Please, how long do they last? I miss tasting food.

while at home banged my foot particularity hard off the side of my couch and it's now swelling and hurts extremely bad especially when i try to walk on it. what can i do to make it feel at least a little better quickly because i have volleyball practice soon and i am supposed to go out to a late lunch with my mom because today is one of her sparse days off. please?

during school i had the biggest crush on this boy named seth. then the first maybe second week of summer he asked me out. turns out he liked me too. he's really sweet and everything but we never see each other (he doesn't have a cell phone and he's grounded for the rest of the summer). i was thinking about breaking up with him because we don't even talk and we've been dating him for about a month. i really don't know what to do and i was thinking about just waiting it out. but then i have to carry the title "she has a boyfriend". i can't see any other guy and i can't see my boyfriend. what should i do?

ok so do you think sixth graders should date? what is dating to sixth graders? holding hands? going on dates? kissing?! i mean they are only what 12??? i just think that that should be for older age groups.. i mean i was at one of their dances and from the looks of it their definition of slow dancing is standing there with their arms around each other... well anyway what do you think?

SWANS

A swan is a large aquatic bird of both the North and South hemishere, related to geese and duck. Swans have a very distinct long, delicately arched neck, and a very powerful trachea, or windpipe. They use their large tracheas to make distant calls to one another, though some swans can be mute.With webbed feet and usually pinky-orange beaks, swans are known for their grace and beauty. A male swan is a cob, while the female is called the pen, and the baby, or a young swan would be called a cygnet (cig-nent). Swans have as many as 25,000 feathers and can live up to 20 years in the wild as well as up to 50 in captivity!

Swans enjoy being surrounded by water, in wetlands, or marshes where they build their nests on mounds. They prefer cooler environments, avoiding extreme heat.

In the wild swans will feed on the starchy roots and tumbers of aquatic plants. They're sharp sissor-like bills have the ability to tear at the underwater grasses. Most swans can stay underwater for 10-20 seconds and some for up to 30 seconds. Most swans are vegetarians though few eat fish.

In captivitey, swans are mainly fed wheat, barley, maize, watercress, biscuits, and grass.

Swans do migrate in the winter, in flocks ranging from 20-40 at a time. The cygents travel in their parent's flock for at least a year to learn the route. They have been know to fly as fast as 50 mph! You would see them traveling in the night.

To me swans are one of the most peacefull animals on earth. I hope I've taught you pleunty about swans.
