  • back pain for high schooler?

So I'm a sophmore in high school and I've started getting a lot of back pain. I'm one of the tallest in the school, and I know a friend of mine close to me height also has back problems. Whenever I sit in certain chairs or on a bench or something I get pain in my lower-middle back. The pain goes away if I lay down for a while, but sometimes it will last until the end of the day. I've heard that tall guys are more susceptible to back pain, and that it can start in high school. If anyone can explain the causes and some solutions, like posture and exercises or stretches that would help.

  • how to sing in front of others.?

I love singing and playing the piano, but I can't sing in front of others. I make up funny little songs and sing them to my family but never a real song. On the occasions I have sung in front of others I sound flat and monotone. Its gotten to the point where I can't sing by myself because I'm so self conscious. If any can help me out I'd really appreciate it.

  • Sibling Trouble?

I live with my two older brothers and my younger sister at my moms' house. My oldest brother moved out of state a couple of years ago, my second oldest brother is nineteen and has been picking fights with everybody recently. He doesn't have anything to do since graduating and spends his time harrassing my brother and me and sometimes our mom. He controls what we eat and will kick people off of the computer and takes people things without asking. We are really getting fed up with him, but my mother wont do anything. On top of this there have been some big fights over the past couple months where he has hit people. He's broken things and kicked in a door, he's struck people in the face and in the head and he's punched people in the stomach and shoved people in the back. These don't occur that often, maybe once a month, but still he's the oldest and the strongest and he's always the one to hit others, sometimes my brother or I will hit back but only after he hits first, and he hits much harder. My mother gets really upset with Jim and has asked him to leave the house multiple times, but my brother always comes back and my mother is too weak of a person to do anything long term. My mother has said multiple times that he's a bully and he needs to get out of the house and off of people's backs, but he never does. My oldest brother and my father have talked to him and my mother, but ultimately my mother is too weak or just doesn't want to change anything. Any suggestions?

  • how to make cinnamon swirl bread moist.?

I've made this cheap cinnamon swirl bread a couple of times but every time it's really dry. I bake it for about 35 mins, until a toothpick comes out clean. Why is it always dry, is it supposed to be like that, if not how can I make it moister. I am also willing to make a scratch version if it will help.

  • I cant lose any weight?

I'm 15 years old and I've been dieting on and off for a while now. When I was 13 I lost about twenty pounds but now i'm about 6 inches taller and bigger and have regained the weight. I've tried to lose the weight again but I can't seem to, I've been dieting consistantly for about a month, and started exercising frequently about 10 days ago, but still i weigh the same. Looking at myself in the mirror, I look a little thinner but I don't have any older photos to compare to so I don't know if I'm not losing weight, or if I'm losing weight and growing. Friends my age are having the opposite problem, they can't put on weight, is it just like an age problem or something else, because I'm wondering if I should just weight until I stop growing. So my question is, am I actually losing fat, while growing so i weigh the same, or am I just not losing weight, and if so any tips would help.

  • How to be good at greetings?

Whenever I meet someone new or even meet with an extended family member, I never really know what to say, and I get uncomfortable. I converse with well with people I'm comfortable with but for strangers and people I haven't seen in a while, I act a little awkward. For example If I meet someone on the hiking trail I never no what to say really, and they have to carry the conversation. So my question is, how do you greet and make small-talk comfortably with someone, particularly the greeting part, I would appreciate examples and scenarios.

  • leg and back pain when standing and walking?

When I stand too long (about 30 minutes) or have to walk a long while, especially on hard surfaces, fatigues my legs and hurts my back. I have hereditary flat feet, (my podiatrist described my feet as pancakes) I wear orthotics but have really bad shoes. I'm about 30 pounds overweight and mostly sedentary, ( I'm a student) so when I stand for a while fatigue spreads up my legs from my feet and then into my back where it starts to hurt. So my question is, how do I prevent pain, what exercises or things I could do to be on my feet longer.

  • Is dieting stunting my growth?

So im 14 and 5 months and ive been dieting for about 4 months now and i was wondering if consuming less calories, fat, calcium and protein can stunt your growth. Im about 5 9 and ive always been the tallest in my class but recently i seem kind of more average height. Or maybe my growth spurt is just coming a bit late. Because average height kids are now 1 or 2 inches taller than me. Any insight would be apprecoated

  • A good general purpose knife?

Does anybody know of a good knife with a blade under four inches for around 30 bucks. I have bought some knives in the past from hardware stores but they've all broken so I'm looking for a higher quality knife preferably made in the USA, Germany or Switzerland.

  • Bowling ball questions?

So I recently received a ebonite cyclone bowling ball for christmas. I am very pleased with the ball and had questions on how to maintain it. First off how do I clean the ball without ball cleaners, like home remedies of a sort. Also I've bowled a total of 14 games with it and there are a couple small little ticks ( hardly noticable) and I was wondering how to prevent any damage to the coverstock. If its important its 12 pounds and the coverstock is reactive resin.
