In 2005 I co-signed a loan for my ex-brother in law to get a motorcycle, at the same time I so-signed for a?
$300 credit card, so he could get his credit established. Since then I have been told by him that the cycle was paid off (which it has been) and he is off the credit card and on his own. Today, I get a notice from HSBC that he is behind on $18,000 and cannot pay and they want me to pay. First, I would never give him more than $500 credit, even if he had a full time job, which he does not, he is on DSI and lives with a friend of his. Now, as I see it, HSBC approved a loan beyond the $500 I approved, so should they not now be on the hook for the $17,500 they approved, without contacting me before approval? Any and all advice is welcome.
4 AnswersCredit1 decade agoFor those that thought they where special posting and spewing the lies from Soros and Moveon.org, do you now?
realize you have been nothing but pawns in their strategy to discredit a person of honor. Or do you still sit in front of your computer screen and read and reread the slander and lies you and they posted when he was called Betray us, by Soros, Moveon, org, Obama, and the Democrats. Funny, now that he is their (second) hand-picked man, you look like the sheeple you are.
3 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoI have been hit on my credit report. I co-signed a loan for $1200, in 2006, which was for?
a motorcycle. About one month later he wrecked the bike, but had insurance, so he went back to the dealer and bought a new, I was told with the insurance money. The credit company said no that they refinanced another $8995 onto the first loan, I never saw or heard a thing about this until now, when it is several months late. I told the Credit people I never co-signed for anymore $$$ and I was not responsible, they where. First, I would not co-sign for this person for anything close to that amount. Since then (2006) his high on the account was $14,000.00, so he has made payments, recently, due to drinking, he is out of work and money. Any suggestions on how I should approach this one?
6 AnswersCredit1 decade agoTravel to Yellow Stone NP, in Sept?
Wife and I plan on going to Yellow Stone National Park in Sept of this year. We will fly out of Pittsburgh, Pa and not sure of where our best landing destination should be. Also, do any of you have a preference in accommodations? What other activities would you do, beside watch a geyser? Should we plan on a side trip to Grand Teton? Guess I should have said, we will be on vacation for 10 days. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
3 AnswersOther - United States1 decade agoDo any of you believe Obama, during his State of the Union Address, will still blame Bush for his problems?
He hasn't shown a novel thought beyond his constant blame game.
18 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoHealth Care Bill, what does it need to be passed?
I'm a conservative that believes we do need some changes to the current health care issues in this country. Just not the ones Obama and Pelosi are pushing now. What are some of the issues that need to be ? Tort reform is one, the dems don't like but makes great sense. Loss of coverage (portability) due to relocation is another, some repubs don't like it. Major health issues and later loss is another which I believe both groups like. Here is one from the repub side the dems voted out and I believe it should be made a mandatory part of any plan that has a chance to succeed, all Senators and Congress persons will be dropped from their current plan and enrolled in the new government run/mandated program, after all if it is so good for the rest of us, why not them too.
1 AnswerGovernment1 decade agoDoes anyone know and what source are you using to list how many people lost their home thru forclosure or?
bankruptcy over the last year and two years. The root cause must be due to medical expenses. I was discussing this with my younger brother and he gets all his facts from the UAW, which nothing more than a liberal leaning organization. He believes there is a foreclosure/bankruptcy caused every 45 seconds in this country due to medical expenses. I find that to be highly unlikely, but must admit I don't know where to go to get the facts. He further stated, that there are two families losing their health insurance every 45 seconds due to job lose. I would appreciate any help and sources. Thank you.
1 AnswerOther - Business & Finance1 decade agoDo you believe Obama lied or is just incompetent with the "we misread" statement and stimulus?
Remember, he said, the stimulus was needed to keep unemployment under 8.2%. We now stand at 9.5% unemployment. So did he lie to get the bill passed, or is he incompetent at getting it right?
