4 AnswersInvesting10 years ago6 months ago, I had a dream about buying GM at $ 24.00 as an IPO . It opened at 33.11?
I posted a question about it here and decided it was my subconscience telling me not to buy it . It is now 28.55 with a P/E of 6.84. Is it time to buy or do I wait for 24. ? or skip it?
1 AnswerInvesting10 years agoSell in May? Why? Reasons behind this please....?
Ok we all know the saying, but does it work? when ?and why? I need examples
If I sold my IBM last May at 116 . and came back in Oct? I would have lost the gain to 144.
So now, it's near its 52 week high in the 170's . Will it go up like last year, will it be flat?
Does the sector matter?
What about the defensive stocks which hit highs today like Kraft?
I found last yr May-Oct to be very active- Why stay away???

4 AnswersInvesting1 decade agoWhich shepherd's pie/cottage pie recipe is best?
I've tried to find -1 basic recipe for a classic pub's Shepherd's Pie ,
but Ive found that every single recipe out there (and there's a lot) is different.
I'm fine on the basic*- meat, veg and mash... but the Seasonings and Sauces vary greatly.
Which are best:
Some use a simple Brown gravy
Others a tomato one, everything from 2 tomatoes... to 1/4 c of ketchup, from canned puree to Campbell's tomato soup.
And some combine the gravy/beef stock with tomato.
While others use canned Mushroom soup.
The spices range from :
hot sauce to cinnamon......Italian seasoning, to nutmeg, some use worcestershire, sage , paprika, thyme , tarragon, and sugar.
If youve made or eatten this dish whats the best/correct sauce and seasoning?
In fact the only common elements are onion, salt and pepper and mashed potatoes.
