3 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agostepfather hearing voices that are not there after a year of wife's death ? why?
one year ago my mother-inlaw passed away. She did not believe in banks, so she tucked money away in envelopes designated for her grandchildren's college fund. She also had a life insurance policy designated to her youngest son. 4 months before her death stepfather talked her into changing the beneficary to him. The stepfather kept the college fund money and everything else of any value and got rid of everything else giving very little to her children and grandchildren. Gave ashes to youngest son to place where she wanted to be, but didn't want any part of placing her at final resting place. her oldest son is in jail and has been for quite sometime. Now stepfather believes the oldest son has been walking around his house outdoors and differents times during the day and night talking to him. This is not possible because he is still in jail. Can someone explain why stepfather is hearing and seeing something that is not there? Is his mind playing tricks on him or is it his subconscouis getting to him for not following his wife's wishes. Can anyone tell me what is causing this unusal behavior?
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow can I trust science?
from yahoo answers; I have discovered that science is constantly changing. Theory's are estimated guesses based on information from science. If science can not come up with actual proof. How can we believe in the theory of evolution? The calendar ends in 2012. does that actually mean the world is going to end or is this just another similar scare such as the y2k scare? Why do so many people want proof based on science which is not fact; but yet refuse to believe in God because of lack of proof?
2 AnswersHomework Help1 decade agoIf science is based on theory instead of fact then how do we know what is true?
Theory is just an idea; then a theory can be still prov en wrong years down the road. If the earth was built 4.6 billion years ago. How was it created? Why do we not use a calendar with the actual date of the earth?
6 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoCan science confirm how old the world is?
I don't mean in theory. I would like to know actual fact. There are several countries out there who use a different time line. Which is actual and can you prove it by facts?
7 AnswersEarth Sciences & Geology1 decade agowho decide what calendar year it was originally and how old is the world?
There are so many calendars out there with different start dates. Some say it started when Jesus was born before 4. b.c.e. Some say Dionysus's let the year c.e.1 start one week after what he believed to be jesus birthday. Byzantine empire used a year starting on sept. 1, but didn't count years since the birth of christ, instead counted years since the creation of the world which they dated 5509.b.c.e. But since 1600 most countries have used Jan. 1, as the start of the first year. Italy and england did not make jan.1, official until around 1750. The months of the year were named after gods and words from the old roman calendar. Some say it originated from the monks, roman catholic, Julis Cesar. Can you explain why so much difference?

shirt tale relations is someone not really related to you, but is a relation through a relative of yours by marriage. for example my sisters husbands family is related to my sister by marriage but no relation of mine. Shirt tale just mean there is a connection there because of the marriage only. Shirt tale just shows you have family ties and are closer than friends or neighbor's.
3 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoNeed some one to talk to problems since mom's death.?
Since Mom's death, Step dad took college education fund set aside for grandchildren for personal use, took 15 year old life insurance policy that was originally designated to children as beneficary, had it changed while she was ill (5 Months before death) and to top that off he lead the tribe to belief that mom had no next of kin living in hopes that her ground would go to him because has he says he deserves it. Mom was ill with copd, emphysema, congestive heart failure, diabetic, kidney and liver problems, short term memory on high dosage of oxygen, but refused to wear most of time. Gave children back very little of moms things, and to top this off he called yesterday to tell us he is not going through with plans of designated spot for scattering her ashes at her request. He says she is dead any, I paid for the funeral, and supported her, it is my decision and what I want. (funeral cost was covered 100 percent by the tribe, he got a check to cover the exspense and all he had to do was sign it over to the funeral home, as far as support goes, she worked and he stayed home and drew social security. Now he says he is just going to scatter her ashes in several different places around town, says she will not be lonely that way, says no one is going to want to drive up on the mountain top to see her and he does not want to make the drive. Step dad planning on leaving this area completely anyway as soon as the house is sold so he will not be around for memorial day any way. I feel that honoring your loved ones last wishes is the respectful thing to do and that his actions have dishonored her. It also worrys me about her ashes being separated instead of left in one central location. I have heard that several religions believe that if you seperate the ashes to a wide spread area that it makes it impossible to put the body back with the soul someday. It worrys me, and makes me angry that there is nothing I can do.
