i got highlights last year (i have dark brown hair, my highlights were light brown) and they have grown out so like the top of my head is dark brown and the light hair is like mid length to my ends. its only really noticeable in the morning or when flash is used on cameras. anyway i want to dip dye my ends purple, would this be a good idea because of the colour differences in my hair or would you say i should dye my hair back to dark brown at the bottom half and then dip dye

I want to dip dye my hair purple but I have brown hair so obviously to get better results I will have to lighten my hair somehow. The most common way is bleaching but would dying my ends the lightest shade of blonde work as well (even though i know it won't tun out fully blonde) or will it do just as much damage as bleaching? The reason is is that the purple hair dye is semi permanent and I don't know how long I will want to keep the dip dye look for/how long it will last so i don't want to go through all the damage of bleaching if there are alternatives. i have dark brown hair but i want to dip dye the ends of my hair a different colour (eg purple blue red or soemthing not decided yet), obviously with my dark brown hair it won't show up so i'll probably have to bleach it first, whats the best way to go about it with minimal damage? also will i be able to bleach the ends of my hair and dye it a different colour all in one day? or is that too unhealthy?

what would you get if you has teh choice ?

here are my reasons why and why not to get each one

IPOD CLASSIC:

good points:

1. its such nice size

2. it has 160gb for £187 !

3. it looks really nice

bad points:

1. the screen is small compared to the ipod touch

2. its not as fun compared tot eh ipod touch i think

IPOD TOUCH

good points:

1. its like the iphone

2. it has aps!

3. the screen is so nice and big !

4. its got the internet free!

bad points:

1. For 8gb it costs £165 which is really bad compared to ipod classic which has 160gb for £187

2. 8gb is the only one i can like afford so i wouldnt be able to put many movies on it

3. i might end up spending my whole life on facebook if the internet is free

4. its touch screen and i have a touch screen phone and a touch screen nintendo ds so i might get sick of touch screens

but oh em geee the screen is really nice on the ipod touchhh
