So got a large crack in screen (accident) that has stopped the screen being at all functional and now the charger port is dying pretty quickly on me... Still within the 1 year warranty. I know the screen is not covered under the warranty and possibly the port won't be either but anyone know roughly how much it'll cost?

I know the hard drive will be wiped so planning on doing a full hard drive back up before hand :)

Got a rather big cake planned, 3D, marzipan icing, 15 to 20 people, coloured the whole shebang.

I simply cannot make the amount of cake I need due to a crap electric oven. Does anyone know places in Brisbane I can get plain slabs of sponge cake made? If this is possible how long does it take to make and rough cost?

Skirt is knee length and black, just sits on my waist and i really want to wear my boots with it...

Only problem is these boots are not ankle/knee high or anything like that they are steel cap work boots. They are in good nick and just go over my ankle. They have your average work boot heel and look

Getting my first goldies in a couple of days and the tank has been settling for just under a week now. Being a student the tank, cleaning products, fish and food are costing enough. So thought of using LEGO blocks instead of paying anything from $15 to $30 for a single tank decoration.

Saw a rather epic Super Mario mini level fish tank decoration set and of course this has spurred me to look into using LEGO

I know it's basically painted plastic molded into the highly loved familiar shapes and this could harm the fish.

Would anyone know a way that I could safely build the LEGO decorations and seal them so they are safe for fish?

I was given a set of Chinese/Japanese Zodiac animal plushies in a large turtle bag. All of these are silk and have been in storage for some time. They have rust staining from the bells in the tails and have what looks to be some sort of spidery mold/ webbing on all of them, even the turtle. Would anyone know how to clean these without damaging them? The filling is a combination of plastic beads and poly filling in the head and a little in the arms.

I have no idea what they are called, but I've seen them in women's underwear/clothing stores selling highly shrunk clothes, usually in shirts and shorts sets or towelettes that you put into water and they expand back to normal size afterwards.

Just found my old white school formal shirt. Planning on giving it back to my school but there are armpit stains, back, shoulder and inside the collar stains from makeup/sweat/ heat and etc.... The normal high school shirt stains. Would anyone have a method of getting these stains out? I'd prefer not to use any harsh chemicals or store bought stuff. Thanks :D

It looks like the two cords have been knotted at each end and can then be pulled either tighter or looser depending on the neck size. Would anyone have either the name for this or a how to, please?

I don't know how eye sight works but how bad is this for a woman of 20?

right eye is -6.0

This has been like this for a year, but my optometrist said they are getting slowly, worse. Not enough to cause another point to drop but getting close. How bad is this?

With vision of -7.5 in the left eye and -6.0 in the right and being only 20 years old. Would this pass the requirements for the DSP?

I got my navel pierced a month ago, it's gone through the normal healing and going quite well. Recently though there has been some worry, firstly there is no green/yellowish puss coming from the piercing and little no almost no redness/swelling but at the entry hole there is something concerning me.... When ever I push the piercing upwards there is almost 'half moon' like opaque skin area on the top part closest to me and when I push it up slightly there is this red 'lump' appearing, no puss or anything it's soft, almost like new skin and it has a slight 'slime' feeling to it, like again new skin. I am wondering is this the scar tissue 'tube' for the piercing my body is creating or possible infection. I'm not sure and before people ask I have been doing salt soaks once every two days, (I get dry skin very easily) anyone got an idea?

I'm not to sure on the exact blend of the rope but it's a very plain white cotton rope (as the seller said). It is to stiff at the moment for use and I was wondering how do you wash cotton rope? I looked around and can you do it in a washing machine on a very low temp and cycle setting? Also can I dry it in the dryer? This is really the only way I can dry it because of my housemates I can't hang it to dry on the clothesline and I'd rather not subject it to the sun and leaving it to dry over my shower could cause mold in the fibers, no way do I want that!

Also can you use fabric softener?

Does anyone know any recipes that are easy to do and use chicken meatballs? Got a friend coming over and I want to use them up. Feeding 5 as well. I was thinking of some sort of white sauce spaghetti thing or pasta bake, any ideas?
