My bf has a brother printer. I hate it. Why? Because the quality sucks compared to my Epson. That being said, my Epson is out of black ink. I just moved and can't find the extra blk cartridge that I have because it's still packed in a box. So, I'm stuck with his crappy brother printer.

Every time I want to printer my resume, I keep having to go into the printer properties, and change it to photo in order for the text to look even remotely good, let alone, professional. How do I permanently change the default printer properties so taht I don't have to change them every time I want to print a document????

I installed and am using AVG free anitvirus as advised by my computer technician. It keeps popping up a warning on my computer screen EVER SINGLE TIME it detects a cookie. It's SUPER annoying because my computer won't continue what it's doing until I get rid of the warning.

How on earth do I change the settings so that it's not popping up on my screen EVER SINGLE TIME AVG detects a cookie?????

I have tried the forums but can't post in the forums for some stupid reason, and yes I have registered etc etc. I am not wasting any more time trying to use their stupid NON USER FRIENDLY forums. That's why I'm here.

So, can someone explain to me, how to go into the settings and change it so that when avg detects a cookie the warning does NOT pop up on my screen every single time?

I had to actually click on my hotmail email icon in my msn messenger to load IE because I have lost my IE icon.

I googled losing the IE icon and found an answer on Yahoo Canada Answers. The guys suggested this:

Right click any empty space on the desktop and select "Properties" then goto "Desktop" tab, then click on "Customize Desktop...". On the "General tab" check "Internet Explorer", click "Ok" (on the "Desktop Items" window), then click "Ok" (on the "Display Properties" window). There, you have it :).

He was chosen as the best answer. The problem is, that didn't work for me because I can't check the IE icon because it's NOT there....lol. This started when went onto the Control Panel and clicked on remove windows components and removed the Windows Media Player. I had installed WMP 11 and I HATE that version. SO I removed it compeletely. For some reason, now my IE icon is gone as well and I can't figure out why.

So what do I do now?

I use uTorrent. I found a video online about increasing downloading speeds on youtube. Here's the problem.....I am NOT usiong a router. Unless my Rogers Cable internet modem has a router built in which i'm pretty sure that it doesn't, I have no idea how to forward the port numbered 4652 so that I can increase my download speeds.

Can someone explain to me how to forward this port so taht I can get faster dl speeds?

I was using uTorrent before I formatted my computer and I googled how to increase the speeds for dl'ing and found a great article. It was working awesome. I would get full movies in less than an hour. That was at 200-300 kbps.

But this guy on youtube is saying he's getting 1 mb per sec. In the video he was dling a file and sure enough, he showed that he was. I followed all the instructions and set it up like he stated to, and I'm NOT gettin even close to what I was before, let alone 1 mb per sec.

So that being said, can someone explain to me how to forward that port if I'm not using a router?

I am using uTorrent for downloading. I found a video onlint youtube.com that gives you instructions on how to speed up your downloads. I am using the port that this guy suggests but at the end of the video THAT'S when he tells you using all this info on port 4652 will work ONLY IF YOU AHVE THAT PORT FORWARDED.

I am NOT using a router. I just have a plain old ROgers Cable internet modem for my internet connection.

So, that being said, how on earht do I forward this port without a router?

I have an ipod shuffle 2nd generation. When ever I try to charge it with my bf's old computer, the lights keeps blinking off and on orange. According to a website that I found, it states that the light on the ipod will be steady orange if it's charging and if it's blinking, that means that it's syncing with itunes (which I don't have open) or its ready for disk use.

I don't have any HI-SPEED USB Ports on this computer. It's a very old computer that my bf received from his sisters work. It's very slow, and very old. It had windows 2000 on it when we got it, so I installed Windows XP onto it. When I connected the ipod a window popped up in the task bar telling me that this device could work faster if I connected ot to a high speed usb port. So i clicked on that bubble and it's saying that I don't have any hi speed usb ports installed on this computer.

Can someone tell me if that means I won't ever be able to charge my bf's ipod shuffle with this computer? Since this computer is so old and slow, can you please email your responses to jhs77@roger.com.

If that's the case, then I won't ever be able to charge this ipod with this computer because we don't have the outlet adapter for the usb cable charger that came with it.

I live in London, Ontario, Canada, EASTERN STANDARD TIME. NBC.com states that Law and Order CI is Sunday's at 9. I have check channel 15, 79 and 185, NBC, CNBC, AND MSNBC and none of those 3 channels are showing LAW AND ORDER CRIMINAL INTENT sundays at 9. So, what time, channel and day can I watch the current season. The last episode I watched was with Jeff Goldblume and they were investigating the murder of a big CEO of something like that, of an older guy and they were looking at the new broadcasters for his murder. Can someone help me out?

I have it set up on my PVR to record Sundays at 8 pm, but when I go to the channel some stupid show called Merlin is starting. As far as I know, the season hasn't ended. So, that being siad, what the heck is going on? WHAT TIME CHANNEL AND DAY CAN I WATCH THE CURRENT SEASON OF LAW AND ORDER CRIMINAL INTENT!?

I am trying to find out when Law and Order CI is on, what channel and at what time. A few days ago I watched ane ep where Jeff Goldblume is now starring in the serries for a few ep. I would REALLY like to know if the season is over or not and if it's not what day, time and channel it's on so that I can record the rest of them.

The CTV.ca website is completely useless becasuse it's not telling me ANY of this info. I ahve no idea if the season is over or not. I am going away for 2 weeks and am trying to set up my DVR to record the shows while I'm away.

That being said, I need to know if there is somewhere on the Rogers.com website that I can to, where I can type in the name of a show and it will tell me what time it's playing and on what day and on what channel so that I can set up my DVR to record them.

Like seriously, why the hell does this sh!t have to be so difficult? Is it too much to ask?

Okay, so here's what going on. I open Microsoft Office word. And every single time I start typing, the line spacing is set to double spacing and it's set to enter a space before every new paragraph.

So on the HOME tab,

- I click on the Line Spacing Icon to adjust it,

- then go to Line Spacing Options,

- put a check mark in the box that states "DON'T ADD SPACE BETWEEN PARAGRAPHS OF THE SAME STYLE",

- make sure that line spacing is set to Auto for before and after

- and make sure that the line spacing is set to Single.

- then I click on Default and it says "YOU ARE ABOUT TO CHANGE THE DEAULT ALIGNMENT, INDENTATION, AND SPACINGS OF THE PARAGRAPHS IN THIS DOCUMENT. DO YOU WANT THIS CHANGE TO AFFECT ALL NEW DOCUMENTS BASED ON THE NORMAL TEMPLATE?"

- I then click YES.

So you would ASSUME that every time from then on that I close and reopened word later on that those settings would be saved....nope!

It automatically defaults to what it was before I made the adjustments. What am I doing wrong? I want it to be single spaced and there to be NO SPACE before and after a paragraph, unless I feel like putting one in.

Could someone please tell me if I'm doing something wrong or if it's just faulty software?

I'm in London ONtario Canada and I have rogers digital cable. Does rogers have the TNT channel which is apparently the channel that it's shown on? If it's not shown on TNT with Rogers Digital cable, then what channel would I watch it on and when?

I have heard really good things about this show and would like to watch it since I a fan of Jada Pinkett Smith.

Also, where can I watch the series premeire? I missed it last week.

My bf just bought me a 12,000 btu window a/c unit and it keeps running the a/c only for a fews seconds and then turns off and switches to the fan for a few seconds, then a/c again and so on and so on. I DON'T WANT THAT! I want it to run the a/c ALL THE TIME because I'm trying to cool my entire 2 bedroom apt.

The Kenmore Brand window a/c unit that my parents gave me 2 summers ago constantly ran the a/c and worked fine. My apt was like an igloo in here and that's what I want. The temperature outside is only about 14-20 degrees celcius. Is that why? Because even when I had the Kenmore unit 2 summers ago, it still ran the a/c while it was really cool outside. It's hot in my apt because they still have the stupid *** heat on in the building and I can't turn it off or down.

What can I do to make sure that the a/c contstantly run on my window unit?

I had to format my harddrive so in order to keep from losing all the files that I wanted to keep, I burned them all onto dvd. I have 35 gigs of music on dvd. I REALLY don't want to lose all that.

I am trying to copy it from the dvd to my external hard drive and for some reason some of the files will copy but some others won't. I'll get this error message saying "can not copy deskptop: the parameter is incorrect". So I went into the folder that it was trying to copy and for some reason when I back up the music onto disk, a fild called desktop was automatically put into each and every different folder that has music in it. I don't know if this happened to every single folder that I backed up for now, I'm noticing it in every folder that has music in it.

Now I have only had my external hard drive for a week. I just partitioned it and set it up tonight. I partitioned it into 5 drives, each of them are logical drives, NOT primary. This shouldn't be an issue though, especially since I can still copy of the music, but not all.

I have googled this error message THE PARAMETER IS INCORRECT, and I can't really figure out what it's talking about.

Can someon explain it to me in lamens terms and tell me if I'll be able to recover the music files that I have burned onto the dvd's and put them on my external hard drive?

I wear contact lenses and I like to wear makeup once in a while. I find though that whenever I put mascara on my right eye, it CONSTANTLY waters, hense the reason for the waterproof mascara. I have tried non-waterproof mascara to no avail. Same thing happens. I have been to the dr and the optometrist about this and they ahve told me there's nothing wrong with my eye. Just sensitive eyes. Is there a water proof mascara out there made specifically for sensitive eyes, contact lens weareres or both? At this point, price is NOT an issue. I don't wear makeup alot, but I'm tired of constantly blotting my eyes because then I'm constantly having to reapply my eyes shadow, I already wear colour stay eye shadow...and I'm tired of people thinking I"m crying when it's the mascara I'm wearing causing the problem.

I am sick and tired of the stupid americans blocking the canadians from watching full epsiodes on their internet sites!!!! Isn't that what the d*** intnernet is for, being able to surf for things worldwide without restrictions!? Geez!

Does anyone know where I can go to watch the last 3-5 episodes of csi miami. I missed them and don't know where i can go to watch them because all the stations aren't allowing me to view them because I'm located in Canada and Canada isn't allowed to access US television full episodes!

I have tried the vinegar and baking soda home remedy, doesn't work. I am looking for a store bought one. I have tried Spray N Wash with Oxy Max and it works great, BUT not on stains that are dried and set in. I have also tried that new Zout, which states its won awards and and such for stain removing and it didn't work AT ALL, for ANY STAINS!

I know that if you treat a stain but it doesn't come out in the wash and you put it in the dryer anyway, the heat from the dryer sets it in. I try not to do taht, but I live in an apt building where it costs me $1.85 to wash so having to retreat and rewash only one or two items isn't cost efficient for me. The clothing that is getting most the stains in my 20 month old daughters. It's not like I'm made of money and can go out everytime my daughter gets a grass stain or dirt stain or such on her clothing and purchase her new ones...lol. So if someone could recommend A STORE BOUGHT STAIN REMOVER THAT WORKS THE 1ST TIME YOU USE IT without me having to rewash the item, that would be great! Thanks.

I missed last weeks episode. Yes, I know what happens, I've been told by a million freaking people. Don't care, want to watch the actual epsiode. Every time I go to watch it on a website from the states, it always tells me that because I'm located outside the US, I can't watch it. It is really starting to **** me off.

My bf just bought me a new dvd vcr combo and it says on the side of the box that it's 1080p* upconversion? What is that?

I live in London, Ontario Canada and I watch Private Practice. I haven't seen it this week. The last episode was when Violet was about to get her stomach sliced open by the nut bin Katie ( I think that's her name).

Was that the season finale or was there another episode after that? If there was another episde, what day and time is it on and where can I watch the most recent episodes for free?

Yahoo answers keeps emailing me for the same thing. For example my answer was chosen as a best answer. I woke up this morning to 8 emails from them telling me that it was chosen as a best answer. DUH! I KNOW ALREADY! They are STILL emailing me the same email telling me it was chosen as a best answer! How to get change these settings or contact yahoo to tell them to stop emailing me so much? I don't mind receiving 1 email about it, but 10, 12, 14 emails....that's a bit much!
