1 AnswerAbuse and Spam6 years agoHave you seen the video of a giraffe being killed ?
On Yahoo weather at the edge of the page where they show video suggestions yo might
like to watch, they show a truck with a pair of Giraffes being hauled on a highway and
in the background is a highway overpass.
The caption says "Giraffe dies in horrible highway accident"
I did nott watch the video.
But just because they implied that a Giraffe was killed by running it's head into a highway
overpass... and making money off of that as "entertainment"..of all the nerve...so...
I pledge to boycot any Yahoo advertisement and product that is in it for one year from today.

1 AnswerAdd-ons7 years agoI use Firefox/how to block cookies ?
I just got a promo from an on-line dealer which proudly said "Thanks for sharing your inbox
with us!" Which other browser allows you to block individual cookies as Firefox doesn't ?
Been hearing these horror stories about internet explorer being "the" browser which
most viruses are designed to run on so is Google Chrome any better ?
1 AnswerSecurity7 years agoWhy don't Yahoo answers give a feedback link ?
If the SAY they are concerned with customer feedback it must be a complete lie.
Surprise...corporate dishonesty is rampant these days and this is no surprise.
There are some good things about this "New Answers" but also some very bad
things.
If Yahoo is actually concerned, they sure aren't giving that impression.
BTW this is not a question.
It's a statement of facts...
One more fact: I stated that I would discontinue to visit Yahoo Answers on the
first of October if something does not change. A link to a feedback site would
fit that word "change".
No link/no change/no more visits...fact...
1 AnswerYahoo Answers8 years agoHow to get back personalized answers?
Before they "improved" it, when you went to Yahoo Answers you got a personalized
list of questions to pick from based on which questions you had previously answered.
Can I get that part back ?
1 AnswerYahoo Answers8 years agoCleaner for LCD monitor ?
Every place that sells screen cleaner wants $20 for a not very good size bottle
of it. I do believe something can be substituted which won't harm the screen.
Anyone have any suggestions ?

Spelling intentional cause it looks like a joke right ?
Is this "it" for us ? Or can we expect "OUR Yahoo" back ?
1 AnswerMy Yahoo8 years agoWhen something works why do people need to improve it ?
This new format is unacceptable to me. It has no way you can "proof read" what
you wrote before posting it. Sad to say I will be stopping going to reading or answering any questions on Yahoo Answers as of the first of September if this is not fixed.
I encourage others who feel the same to do likewise.

Got a dirty one from Red Box. Since I've never let mine get like this I don't know what to clean it with.
Any cloth may scratch it so toilet paper is actually the next best guess. Also have white vinegar.
Go ahead do the LOL thing but then give me some feed back...please...

So does anyone know who sells these ?
Tried e-bay but none now except expensive orange ones. Have seen pictures of them
in much more natural colors like common crayfish but don't remember where.
1 AnswerFish8 years agoDon't want mail preview?
This is getting on my nerves real bad. Before today, when I clicked on Yahoo mail...
it went directly to my Yahoo mail. But starting Monday the 25th, it now only goes to
the mail preview, a small pop up box which contains about five of my e-mail titles.
I can't seem to remove that or get my Yahoo mail page without going to the search
and putting in "Yahoo mail" which gives several options one of which is the actual
Yahoo mail page.
I am going to try deleting the mail icon and re-installing it in the Apps section.
Meanwhile anyone who might know from experience what this issue is and/or
how to deal/w it please tell me...aaaaaaaaaaa...!!!
1 AnswerNotices and Errors8 years agoNeed a formula for aria of triangles.?
Have a water flow problem that involves triangle shaped openings through which
the water flows. But the triangles are different types and I need to be able to
cause them to be equal by knowing how to get the aria of either. Both have
one right angle but on one the sides are different lengths and on the other
the lags are going to be equal lengths. An example of the problem (actually
one half of the actual problem) is: First triangle has one unknown length but
the other two sides are 1" X 3". The other length seems to be 3 5/32".
That is three and five thirty seconds inches.
So what I need to know is how long do the legs need to be if they are both the
same length...if the aria of both triangles are to be equal.
Could it possibly be as simple as if one is 3 x 1 then the other must be
1.5 x 1.5 in order for them both to be of equal aria ?
As if that isn't confusing enough I'll tell you that I'm dividing a 1"x3" rectangle
in half and trying to get a triangle that has that much aria. This would be
the triangle which has equal length legs coming from the right angle.
2 AnswersMathematics8 years agoCPU does not support Ram speed ?
This says my CPU does not support the Ram speed that I bought for the build.
I bought 1600 speed thinking it would be correct before I got this guide because
I was going by what the board supported.
http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K10/AMD-Phenom%20II%...
Scroll to the bottom and see "notes".
I heard that if you put in the higher speed it would work but it would just downgrade
it to the highest speed that the CPU supported. If this is true I should just keep it
because I intend to up-grade to either a 965 or an FX 6300. That site says the 965
only supports the 1333 but the 6300 supports up to the 1866.
What is your info on this as far as using the 1600 speed in it now.
In case the link does not give you my CPU it is the Phenom II 550BE.
1 AnswerDesktops8 years agoMoss type plants on rock wall ?
I would appreciate it if only people who have/did this answer this. Some plants grow
on rocks/wood and I've noticed that most which do have the word "moss" in the
name somewhere. Lets say I have a tall pile of rocks against one wall and would
like to put/grow maybe Java Moss on it. Would you start a piece of it at the bottom
against the wall or would it be better (as far as it being closer to the light) to try
to get it started at/near the top of the wall ? The type I have is Tricho.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/250647897535?ssPageName=ST...
I really don't even know if it will grow on a vertical wall but we'll see. I placed it
on the bottom against the wall in hopes that it would go up the wall as it spreads.
But if anyone has experience/w this type and knows that it will I'd like it if I
could here from you on this.
1 AnswerFish8 years agoPci express x 16 question?
A site called CPU World has a list of attributes that each CPU has and it says on the i5
that it has Pci 3.0 interface, but on the i3 it says it has Pci 2.0 interface
Here is where it gets complicated.
On ASUS boards (and others likely) where it states which Pci slots it has it says...
Pci 3.0 X 16 1
Pci 2.0 X 16 1@x4
If I have an i3...does this mean I can't use the Pci 3.0 slot but rather need to use
the Pci 2.0 slot because the CPU has no 3.0 interface ? This would mean that I
am only running at 1/4th full speed on my card right ?
Or can I use the G-card in the Pci 3.0 slot ? Maybe at a reduced speed.
So exactly what does it mean that the CPU only has Pci 2.0 interface ?
Here is the site so you can see for yourself. It's at the bottom where it says
architecture.
2 AnswersDesktops8 years agoCombination question/stream processors?
The two may be related and that is the reason for the "combination question".
Part A. I've been told that streaming, as in from Netflix, depends on internet speed as
much as it depends on your equipment. I get good play out of every site I use except
You Tube. When I go from the regular to the full screen everywhere else it works just
fine. But when I go from small to full on You Tube my screen freezes, starts and stops
endlessly....So...?
Second part which may be related.
I've forgotten most of the info that was said but...in an answer to a question on Yahoo
Answers a guy said that the amount of the stream processors determines the size of
the monitor that you can use. He said that a 24" and up needs more but that under
that you can just have...X amount of stream processors. Like I said I've forgotten the
number he said but of course it would take the larger number if you had two monitors.
My GPU is up-to-date and has 480 stream processors and my monitor says 22"
but is actually 21.5" and ASUS also not a cheapo. Could this be realated to the issue
on just You Tube and does anyone know where that cut off point is as I'm thinking
of adding a duplicate monitor.
The first reason for the GPU to begin/w is that the board has no on-board graphics.
1 AnswerDesktops8 years agoCPU does not support Ram speed ?
All know some..none know all. So I lack knowledge in this aria. Where does one go to
find out which speed Ram is supported by their CPU. I've heard it mentioned in answers
before but never come across it in an article...just not looking in the right place.
So rather than waste money buying Ram that my computer(the CPU) won't use the
speed of, just where do I look up that info ?
