  • Sore lump inside of arm, lower bicep?

It's hard to describe where it's located, but I'll try. If you hold your right arm out straight, touch the inside of your elbow joint. Now move your finger down to the meaty lower muscle (about an inch and a half or so). Now move your finger towards your body another inch and a half. That's where the lump is. It feels grape sized & somewhat hard, but nowhere near bone-like. Close to avocado hard.

I just noticed it sitting here at my desk at work. My arm has been sore for about 2 days, but I figured it was because of a way I was sitting while I was playing a video game a few days ago. To summarize, I was needing to type something in w/ my keyboard, which is on the floor (PS3). So I'd get up & crouch down w/ my knees tucked up into my armpits. I think I took too long in that position because the next day one of my armpits were a little sore (not anymore) and so was my elbow. The soreness in my elbow has persisted & I touched it today & noticed the lump.

Is this something I should be afraid of or is it just some kind of sore?

NOTE: my mother-in-law is a retired nurse, so I'm going to ask her when I get home to come over & take a look at it.

  • Wife miscarried, I don't want to try again, she does...?

First off, we weren't 'trying' to have a baby when we got pregnant. We already have a 5 year old & we're poor (by poor I mean we're right around or below the poverty line). So I didn't want to try to have another kid until some kind of job came along & we were able to support ourselves w/out any help at all (we get some state aid & some help from her parents. Her parents are the ONLY relatives we have in our state).

My wife & I agree that none of our babies will ever be aborted. That doesn't mean that when we got pregnant, I was looking forward to it. For my wife it just means another kid to love & raise at home. For me it means get more jobs, spend more time away from home, do more things you hate, then go to bed, then get up & do it again. I already have a full time job that pays better than a lot of places in my area. Most jobs around here that are easily attainable are minimum wage. Most of the ones that are decent you need to have a lot of experience or a college degree.

A lot of people say, "if you wait to have one until your financially ready, you'll never have one. So you just do it & figure it out." The people who've said that to me & my wife are not poor. They're not living anywhere near the poverty line. So for them, less spending on fun stuff (or whatever they're spending $80k a year on) is the only thing they have to do. OR they're people who just LOVE the welfare system. I hate it & have been trying like crazy to get off of it. But that's another discussion.

Back to babies - To me responsibility is important. Having babies is a choice. If you need multiple jobs to have more babies, but you don't want multiple jobs, then don't have more babies... right? For my wife, she doesn't seem to care about any of that. She just wants more babies & says she "deserves" it. I don't understand what that means. She just miscarried a couple days ago & she was at 16 weeks. So it was very traumatic & I didn't want to talk about the whole "having more babies" thing for a while so she could grieve. I figured having an honest talk about having more babies would just make it worse. But she wouldn't stop asking me about having more. After about the 10th time of asking, I finally told her that I really don't want any more kids. We have a son & I love him with all my heart. But to me, even he's a handful. Just the other day he broke his bed, threw a chair, and knocked over a dining room chair (that I had to put together). We don't have a problem disciplining him (usually taking away privileges, toys, sweets, etc), but the mother-in-law doesn't EVER want his feelings hurt so she gets in the way. If I'm going to be honest about parenting, there's a LOT that I don't enjoy about it. I figure that this means it would be irresponsible to just have more babies if I know I will likely not be happy about it. My wife thinks that means I'm a "dick." But I feel like if I presented a person with a question of responsibility & said: Here are the things you need to do to be a parent (which is a choice to MAKE the baby), do you want to do those things? If the answer is no, then the responsible thing to do is NOT have babies. Wouldn't it be irresponsible to bring more babies into the world when you don't want more?

Or am I really a dick & I shouldn't have a say in this? Should I just be forced to have more babies because my life doesn't matter?

  • How can I auto-feed my Youtube videos on Twitter?

I'd like to promote my band's music on twitter by using an auto-feed service but I don't know how to do exactly what I'm looking to do.

I use twitter usually almost every day. I'd like to set up something that will tweet my band's music videos from Youtube, but not so frequently that it's annoying to my followers. I'd also like to be able to still use twitter manually on top of that.

Does anyone know of any guides online that I could follow or services that are free that I could use to do this?

  • What is this Christian talking about? Regarding Evolution v Intelligent Design?

This Christian guy I know keeps making fun of people that believe in evolution because he's seen some documentaries that show scientist in a light that they often play favorites and kick people out of the scientific community for even looking for evidence of intelligent design.

I tell him, "but evolution is real. We've forcibly evolved dogs into completely different shapes and sizes to fit our needs. Africanized Bees evolved recently & hadn't always been killer bees. We know these things." To which he says, "that's just breeding, that's not the theory of evolution. The theory of evolution is to disprove that there is a god."

I told him, "no, it's the origin of species (variations of life), not the origin of life. A lot of people think that it DOES disprove that there is a god, but nobody can prove there is a god. They can only speculate."

He keeps talking about zero point energy combined with the fact that the speed of light is slowing down, & tries to connect all that to point to time actually not being a constant. Thus, he believes the world IS only 6000 years old, but 1 year used to take a lot longer to happen as compared to the present amount of time it takes for a year to go by. Which, I can see what he's getting at, but it sounds like an awfully shallow argument. Also, he says that there's all kinds of fossils that are at 1 point in time and he thinks that proves the Noah's Ark story of a worldwide flood. He also claims that there are no "in between" fossils that connect one kind of fossil to it's supposed evolved counterpart and so forth. I told him that there are plenty of in between fossils, as they don't just make up creatures that you see in documentaries, books, educational programs that represent the in between animals. They actually have those fossils. He didn't believe me. Also, he has seen pictures on the internet of cave drawings that look like Brontosauruses & thinks that proves that man walked with dinosaurs. I looked that up and there aren't very many. Of the ones I've seen I honestly thought to myself.. "how do we know the guy that drew it wasn't just really really awful at drawing & that was supposed to be a horse or a wolverine or something?" Because they're not all over the place, there's a low number of them & I imagine it's easy to hoax that.

So, I know evolution happens. But what about the zero point energy + speed of light slowing + time not being constant + scientific community kicking out scientists that don't agree with them + our DNA contains information & nobody knows who/what/where the information comes from in the first place = maybe there is a god? Is there any evidence that's easily verified to not be just some Christian biased web page that supports this?

  • Do Russian citizens have more freedom than US citizens?

I've noticed that the Russian news organizations have complete freedom and have been telling more truth (you know, actual NEWS) than US news organizations. Here in the US, I would guess that anyone trying to tell the truth on our news organizations would be fired pretty quick (look at Judge Napolitano or Lou Dobbs. Lou had to be moved to Fox Business and now he's usually not given topics that involve liberty like he used to. Napolitano was fired & only offered the occasional guest spot).

So, do Russians have more freedom than Americans? Either way, what ways do they have more/less freedom/liberty?

Had a way you could respond with just a few characters to someone else's answer if you weren't the asker? Just something besides a thumbs up. Maybe an attachment to the thumbs up like, "Well F***ING said!"

Thumbs this up if you have ever felt the same way at one point or another.

  • What's the deal with massive amounts of?

Has anyone else noticed that there are HUGE amounts of questions on here that are either highly controversial (racism regarding Martin/Zimmerman, racism regarding terrorism, child porn, violence, theft, etc) or just strangely specific, and the questions that fit said criteria are asked by simplisticly named people (i.e. Bob, Clair, Steve, John) or their name correlates to the question they asked (strange because why would you have your profile name FOREVER be similar to one of your questions?) and also that the profile was either created TODAY or just a day or two ago?

    These cannot be simple coincidences.

I've seen one question that was racist saying something like, "why are white cops protecting Zimmerman instead of handing him over to black people so justice can be done?" and the guy's name was something like "Zimmerman is guilty." That was his PROFILE NAME!!! Really? So a few years from now your name will be strange and make no sense because everyone forgot? Bull.

I've also seen questions about child pornography asking something like, "I received an email from 'blah@blah.com' and it contained child pornography. What should I do to report him?"

Another question said something like, "why are there all these terrorist moving to America?" and the body of the question called them "desert people."

ALL OF THESE PEOPLE HAVE ONE THING IN COMMON!!!! Their profile was created TODAY!!!!

I think there is something horribly wrong going on here. I think this is the government gathering intel on how we think or seeing what our morals are, or what we understand regarding the law. This is dangerous because they could use it for various nefarious deeds. They could use it to get around the law and do illegal things themselves or to us. They could use it to reshape the law without us noticing (happens too much as it is). They could use it to do illegal things if they feel that we won't call them on it because we don't know it's illegal. There are countless things that could go horribly wrong from their gathering of this information.

So, I'm asking EVERYONE in the Yahoo! Answers community to PLEASE!!!!!!, IF you're going to answer a question, LOOK at when they created their profile, as it might be the government gathering intel to use against us. DO NOT ANSWER THEM!!!! If you do answer them, CALL THEM OUT!!!! Don't give them the answer, just call them out.

What should shock you about this? That it will be relevant everyday. Meaning, that they're creating profiles everyday and asking these similar questions. So when I said "they created their profile today," that will be relevant EVERYDAY!!!! This is scary!

  • Leave computer on over night, or turn it off? Power use?

What uses more power: leaving my PC (and my iMac) on overnight, or shutting it down and restarting in the morning? Obviously starting up a PC contains a lot of processes, so I was thinking that maybe that uses more power than just sitting in sleep mode. Does anyone know the answer?

What would it be like if the police actually arrested people that commit actual treason? I'm of course talking about any and all politicians that keep voting to put in place laws that directly violate our rights as American citizens.

  • Where were the exit polls (Super Tuesday elections)?

So, where were the exit polls at? I voted for Ron Paul today in the Super Tuesday elections & was looking forward to participating in the exit polls, hoping to inject some pro-Ron Paul into the mix, but there weren't any exit polls! So, then the exit polls that the news reports on aren't valid at all? I mean, how could they be if they're not asking EVERYONE? This whole election seems like a bunch of lies & deception.

  • What's wrong? I slept on my arm wrong, now I have a problem...?

So, one night, I slept on my arm, only to wake up with the typical "pins & needles" one gets when this happens. This was in the middle of the night, so I went back to sleep...though my arm felt funny when the needles went away. To be very specific, the muscles that feel funny are the Extensor Digitorum, maybe also the Extensor Digiti Minimi, Extensor carpi ulnaris, and possibly maybe the Extensor carpi radialis brevis. You can see them here: http://www.gwc.maricopa.edu/class/bio201%E2%80%A6

So, the first day after this happened, my arm felt funny in those muscles. Then gradually went from just a sort of numb feeling (not on the skin, just the muscle underneath) to sore. Not major soreness.

Day two, the numb feeling came back. Not nearly AS numb as the first time. Just a tiny bit. But I noticed I couldn't pick up a full pitcher of water with that arm and pour it normally. As if the muscles that control your hand from drooping while holding weight just wouldn't quite act right.

Day three (now) and I still have a little numbness. Definitely better than yesterday. However, I'm still noticing a bit of the problem with picking up weight. Though I can actually do it now and control it, I just have to focus on using the proper muscles to pull it off. Whereas, I imagine, nobody ever has to actually focus that much when doing something as 'mindless' as pouring a glass of water. So I suppose it's getting better. But I'm still worried about it, as I'm a piano player.

What is this? Has anyone ever accidentally slept on their arm funny and had something THIS bad last THIS long? Am I worrying? I know it's improving, but I suppose I get worried because I am a musician and NEED proper function of both hands. Oh, and I also write with that hand & the writing function has been strange. I can write legibly but I notice that if I try to write as fast as normal (again, mindless), it can kind of go all over.

I don't have any money that can just be spent on tests that could possibly show nothing wrong. If someone (with credibility) says that they KNOW this has a high chance of being serious, then I'll probably go talk to a doctor. But if this is just a "yeah, I did that once, and it took a week. Just wait it out" type of situation, then PLEASE, ease my troubled mind.

    Thanks!

Not major soreness, just about as sore as if you did a little working out for the first time in a little while and felt a bit of tenderness in the muscles you worked out, the day after.

Day two, the numb feeling came back. Not nearly AS numb as the first time. Just a tiny bit. But I noticed I couldn't pick up a full pitcher of water with that arm and pour it normally. As if the muscles that control your hand from drooping while holding weight just wouldn't quite act right.

It's just that sort of countermeasure to weight that seems to malfunction.

I can write legibly but I notice that if I try to write as fast as normal (again, mindless), it can kind of go all over. Not crazy, just to where people would think I just have bad handwriting, though I've been complimented on my normal handwriting.

I don't have any money that can just be spent on tests that could possibly show nothing wrong. If someone (with credibility) says that they KNOW this has a high chance of being serious (serious meaning: if you don't do something now, you might lose all use of your fingers for things involving detail...and here's how I know...then cite something credible), then I'll probably go talk to a doctor. But if this is just a "yeah, I did that once, and it took a week. Just wait it out" type of situation, then PLEASE, ease my troubled mind.

  • How is Skype charging me?

I'll try to be concise: I purchased a Toshiba Thrive tablet, installed the Skype app from the Android App Market. Then filled out the account information (as you would when making a new email account), which included only a name, password, and email address. No billing info required. So, once signed up, I proceeded to call my iPhone (which I don't own, it's a work phone). I immediately hung up when I saw it indicating that it was charging $0.02/minute. At first I thought, "no fair, I didn't know they were charging for this." Then I thought, "wait, who would they be charging? I didn't give them a credit card number, my address, my bank account number, my paypal account info...anything. I didn't give them any information that could be used to charge me obligatory fees. Also, this is a tablet pc, not a phone...so I'm not on any cellular contract that they could charge."

So, what in the world is going on here? Are they going to charge my work cellular plan? If so, dear god how in the hell is this company still in existence? Then they would be charging people without the person answering the call knowing that they're going to be paying for it.

Please, no answers like: "it only charges if its skype to cellular" because that's not my question. I know WHEN they charge, I want to know WHO is getting charged and HOW.

Also, NO, I do not WANT to pay for Skype, just in case you got some kind of feeling that this is why I'm asking what I'm asking (I say this because that was someone's answer to almost the exact same question).

If your answer is: "They're not charging you for it. You're fine." Then why does it say that it's charging $0.02/minute during the call? Seems rather strange to program it so it says it's charging you if it isn't.

  • No Voices in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 PS3?

When I upgraded to PS3 from PS2, I sold all my PS2 stuff. Eventually, I missed playing MUA 1 so I just bought it again, but this time for the PS3. The first thing I noticed: No voices. There are voices in the cut-away scenes, but that's it. The bosses don't speak. Deadpool doesn't quip every 2 minutes. And the special dialogue is seeming less special since now its all just text, and no character voice acting behind it. Is this normal? Did the PS3 version just use up ALL the disk space on graphics so that they couldn't fit the info for the voice over work? I've checked the options screen, and there's no setting that turns them on or off. They're just not there? Did I get a defective game?

  • Cost of vaccinations (immunizations) for a 2 year old child?

I just need to know how much it might cost me to get my 2 year old son vaccinated. I don't have insurance, as I just started a new job (and I don't get my first paycheck for 3 weeks....stupid bi-weekly pay period), so I'll probably be paying cash. I need to know if I can afford it, or maybe ask my parents for a little help until next pay day. I live in a small town area in Ohio, so doctors aren't as astronomically priced as, say, somewhere like L.A. California, or Las Vegas Nevada. But I'm sure the cost of the vaccines are similar, but the doctor's fees might be cheaper. Anyone have any information that could help me out? I'm looking for numbers, not links to a site with more links to a site with ads. I've already tried finding this needle in the haystack that is the internet.

  • New Progressive Rock from Vegas...what do you think?

I'm a local Las Vegas musician in a Progressive rock band and we're just getting started. We have some rough recordings which you can hear at www.reverbnation.com/bluevino

to become a fan, just click "become a fan" under the profile picture and enter your e-mail address

The recordings are rough, yes. But we've been getting a postitive response with our live show and have been gaining momentum, despite what the 'powers that be' would rather people listen to.

    Any support is greatly appreciated!

  • Can breastfeeding for a prolonged single sitting actually hurt your milk supply?

I couldn't find a question like this on here, but my wife was wondering: Can she actually be negatively affecting her breast milk supply by feeding my son for a prolonged period. I always thought that you cant make more breast milk, unless you empty more breast milk. Some people have said that there are two hormones (ones that tell your body that you need to make more milk because the baby has emptied or used up a decent amount of milk supply; and ones that tell your body NOT to make milk because the baby is currently drinking). Though it still doesn't sound logical. I'd think that you'd just make milk whether you're out, or whether it's currently being used.

Also, do you need to wait 3-4 hours in between breastfeeding to allow your milk to come back? I heard that if the baby needs more than you're making, then just the fact that the baby is trying to get more milk will cause your body to make even more than before. Like supply and demand.

Note: I'm asking these questions because, although I've stated what sounds logical to me along side asking the questions, the confusion was caused by an ex-R.N. and her ex-husband who's an ex-midwife (my in-laws).

  • Is my newborn son peeing out of his diaper, or sweating?

My son is just over two weeks old and we just had him circumcised. The pediatrician told us to put vaseline in his diaper (where his penis touches the diaper) and neosporin on his penis. For some reason, whenever we lay him in his crib for more than 10 minutes, he continuousley has damp clothing on his back and/or his sides towards his back. It doesnt smell like pee (and I dont really know how he'd get pee on his back without it getting on his front first), so I would think that he's sweating. Is it okay that he sweats enough to dampen his clothes only after 10 minutes of lying in his crib? Our room is usually at a steady 76 degrees, and we only have one layer of clothes on him and usually a recieving blanket covering his legs so they dont get cold. The only other thing I thought it could be is the vaseline. Could he actually pee through the vaseline so the diaper could absorb it? Or would the vaseline act like wax and just repel the pee completely?
