I am a Christian by faith. Life is to live every day. For me death is not like my boss telling me your job is terminated, but asking me to go for a long journey on promotion. I feel a prick when he tells me I might not be able to take my wife and children along.
How can one interpret the sealing of saints described in the Book of Revelation as something to commence in a future time?
Rev 7:2-4
2 ..I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoWhy we need to think only 144000 are sealed?
Apostle John was shown an angel on his mission of sealing SERVANTS OF GOD. He heard a proclamation that 144000 from all the tribes of Israel WERE sealed. John says he heard the angel shouting that he is still (continuing) on his mission of sealing SERVANTS OF GOD. Then why do we think only 144000 ARE sealed? What forebids to believe apart from the 144000 Israelites there are a multitude from other nations, tribes or groups also include in those being sealed?
1 AnswerOther - Cultures & Groups9 years agoWho are these 144000 sealed?
In Revelation 7 we read of an angel with the seal of God. Apostle John says he heard that 144000 from all the tribes of Israel WERE sealed. Does it mean that only 144000 ARE sealed? What forebids to believe apart from the 144000 Israelites there are a multitude from other nations, tribes or groups also include in those being sealed? The first verse of the book of Revelation says the message of the book is for the servants of God. John emphatically tells that he heard the angel proclaiming that he is sealing servants of God.Then how can one interpret that saints from the church is not among those being sealed?

By winning his argument, he is not saving a theist from hell. If the atheist is reasonable to himself, he can utilize his time spending to argue against theists for many other useful efforts for the community.

15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWho is the Lord mentioned in Isaiah 6:1?
Here the term Lord is not a substitute term LORD denoting Jehovah used elsewhere in Old Testament English translations.
It is evident that Isaiah is not telling of somebody other Jehovah.
In 1 Cor.8:6 we read "yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.". We have one Lord. For Isaiah and for us Christians we have only one Lord in Heaven.

The advocates of evolution theory shouts loud that new species emerge from existing lower level species over a period of thousands of years. The cats are in the world for thousands of years. If a new species has evolved from cats at any time in the span of past history, why it doesn't take place another time? Or can any one tell me of a new species of any type of the animal kingdom has evolved since the time man started studying the process of evolution?

My most preferred color is green whereas my friend's favorite color is red. I have a doubt if green is seen red to his eyes but he calls it green and to his eyes red is seen as green. I am wondering why he doesn't like the greenery of a paddy field or a forest but enjoys watching people marching with red flags or a big room spread with red carpet.

7 AnswersBaby Names9 years agoWhy the 144000 mentioned in Revelation 7 are not Old testament saints?
They were said to be the servants of God sealed from "all the tribes of children of Israel.
The angel with the seal of God hasn't completed his mission of sealing saints of God at the said time John heard of them shouting to other four angels.
But Apostle John writes that he heard the number of those who 'were' sealed.
So isn't it evident that at the time of John's vision, there are those who 'were' sealed and there are many more to get sealed.
The 144000 are said to be those who 'were' sealed. If not the Old Testament saints who else are they?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAnyone to explain, discuss or debate on 144000 Israelites of Revelation chapter 7?
John the Apostle writes, "And I heard the the number of them which were sealed:and they were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel." (Rev 7:4)
In verse 2 John is speaking of an angel in a mission of sealing the servants of God.
From what the angel shouting aloud ( ".....till we have sealed..". verse 3) we can understand that the angel has not completed his task of sealing of the servants of God at the moment the angel is making that statement.
But the angel with the seal is on an ongoing mission of sealing "servants of God".
So at the time of the angel's proclamation he has already 'sealed' some and he is in the process of sealing some more.
In that case isn't the 144000 Israelites fall under 'those already sealed?
Isn't the vision to John explaining to the "churches" an historic fact that "All the children of Israel are already sealed" and the angel is still on the process of sealing many more of the "servants of God"?
