Anyone to explain, discuss or debate on 144000 Israelites of Revelation chapter 7?

John the Apostle writes, "And I heard the the number of them which were sealed:and they were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel." (Rev 7:4)

In verse 2 John is speaking of an angel in a mission of sealing the servants of God.

From what the angel shouting aloud ( ".....till we have sealed..". verse 3) we can understand that the angel has not completed his task of sealing of the servants of God at the moment the angel is making that statement.

But the angel with the seal is on an ongoing mission of sealing "servants of God".

So at the time of the angel's proclamation he has already 'sealed' some and he is in the process of sealing some more.

In that case isn't the 144000 Israelites fall under 'those already sealed?

Isn't the vision to John explaining to the "churches" an historic fact that "All the children of Israel are already sealed" and the angel is still on the process of sealing many more of the "servants of God"?

Update:

From the passage Rev 7:2&3 we can assume a time when he will complete his sealing mission or rather he speaks of a time when the other 4 angels can start with their task.

But do we read any where or can we assume when the angel started his mission of sealing the servants of God?

Apostle John says he saw the angel with the seal ascending from the east.

John also tells that he heard the number of of them which 'were' sealed.

At the time when John saw the angel with the seal, he has already sealed 'some'.

He HEARD the number of those sealed OUT OF ALL THE TRIBES of the children of ISRAEL.(Of course, a symbolic number, but they were those sealed 'of all the tribes of Israel'.

When Apostle John is brought to the scene Revelation 7 the angel with the seal of the living God is already in his mission of sealing servants of God.

One another important poing we can note is that, those servants of God with a title 'OF ALL THE TRIBES OF... ISRAEL are already sealed at the time Apostle

Jews who are saved during the Tribulation Period...

The book of Revelation has always presented the interpreter with challenges. The book is steeped in vivid imagery and symbolism which people have interpreted differently depending on their preconceptions of the book as a whole. There are four main interpretive approaches to the book of Revelation: 1) preterist (which sees all or most of the events in Revelation as having already occurred by the end of the 1st century); 2) historicist (which sees Revelation as a survey of church history from apostolic times to the present); 3) idealist (which sees Revelation as a depiction of the struggle between good and evil); 4) futurist (which sees Revelation as prophecy of events to come). Of the four, only the futurist approach interprets Revelation in the same grammatical-historical method as the rest of Scripture. It is also a better fit with Revelation’s own claim to be prophecy (Revelation 1:3; 22:7, 10, 18, 19).

So the answer to the question “who are the 144,000?” will depend on which interpretive approach you take to the book of Revelation. With the exception of the futurist approach, all of the other approaches interpret the 144,000 symbolically, as representative of the church and the number 144,000 being symbolic of the totality—i.e., the complete number—of the church. Yet when taken at face value: “Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel” (Revelation 7:4), nothing in the passage leads to interpreting the 144,000 as anything but a literal number of Jews—12,000 taken from every tribe of the “sons of Israel.” The New Testament offers no clear cut text replacing Israel with the church.

These Jews are “sealed,” which means they have the special protection of God from all of the divine judgments and from the Antichrist to perform their mission during the tribulation period (see Revelation 6:17, in which people will wonder who can stand from the wrath to come). The tribulation period is a future seven-year period of time in which God will enact divine judgment against those who reject Him and will complete His plan of salvation for the nation of Israel. All of this is according to God’s revelation to the prophet Daniel (Daniel 9:24-27). The 144,000 Jews are a sort of “first fruits” (Revelation 14:4) of a redeemed Israel which has been previously prophesied (Zechariah 12:10; Romans 11:25-27), and their mission is to evangelize the post-rapture world and proclaim the gospel during the tribulation period. As a result of their ministry, millions—“a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language” (Revelation 7:9)—will come to faith in Christ.

Much of the confusion regarding the 144,000 is a result of the false doctrine of the Jehovah's Witnesses. The Jehovah’s Witnesses claim that 144,000 is a limit to the number of people who will reign with Christ in heaven and spend eternity with God. The 144,000 have what the Jehovah’s Witnesses call the heavenly hope. Those who are not among the 144,000 will enjoy what they call the earthly hope—a paradise on earth ruled by Christ and the 144,000. Clearly, we can see that Jehovah’s Witness teaching sets up a caste society in the afterlife with a ruling class (the 144,000) and those who are ruled. The Bible teaches no such “dual class” doctrine. It is true that according to Revelation 20:4 there will be people ruling in the millennium with Christ. These people will be comprised of the church (believers in Jesus Christ), Old Testament saints (believers who died before Christ’s first advent), and tribulation saints (those who accept Christ during the tribulation). Yet the Bible places no numerical limit on this group of people. Furthermore, the millennium is different from the eternal state, which will take place at the completion of the millennial period. At that time, God will dwell with us in the New Jerusalem. He will be our God and we will be His people (Revelation 21:3). The inheritance promised to us in Christ and sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14) will become ours, and we will all be co-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17).

The Bible describes the 144,000 as male virgins, who are without guile and they are 'first fruits' and they are without fault before the throne of God. Revelation 14:4 &5. So I suspect these are going to be very young male babes, as they are the only ones who would fit this description. A child gets 'guile' at a fairly young age.

[Note: It includes Joseph and Manasseh separately; but not Ephraim? Would this be anything to do with Jeremiah 7:15?]

Those who come out of the Tribulation cannot be numbered / counted, Revelation 7:9; so the 144,000 being specifically numbered are separate.

I suspect that 1 Corinthians 15:23 is referring to these 144,000 as each one in his own order [is resurrected / made alive]; Christ being the first, [then the] first-fruits and then those who are Christ's at his coming i.e. those who have come through the Tribulation.

We just have to keep reading and see Revelat. 14:3.....it says that they are bought from the earth....so they are no longer living in the earth...so they must be in heaven.

Revelation . 14:3 And they are singing as if a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one was able to master that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, who have been bought from the earth.

Why only 144,000 jews....according to Rene....only those jews are going to heaven??

If that is the case God is partial and the bible says the opposite....the bible says In Acts 10:34-35

Acts 10:34-35 At this Peter opened his mouth and said: “For a certainty I perceive that God is not partial,

35 but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.

The 144,000 are the Jews that come to believe during the Tribulation. There may be two sealed already - the two witnesses who are in heaven. But to believe that all Jews are sealed, you would have to make a lie out of numerous verses that say Jesus is the only way to salvation.

The seal of God is "The Our Father", which is memorized in every Christians head, I believe. Those who are "called by My name" are CHRISTians, and it is THEY who are of the tribes of Israel --not the antichrist, as they will have you believe if you are so delusional.

    Isaiah,chapter 60:

1} “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” Compare with Chapter 74:1-3,Quran “O, you(Muhammad),wrapped up in garments! Arise and warn! And your Lord magnify!”

2} “For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall rise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.” The advent of Prophet Muhammad{PBUH} was at a time of darkness when the world forgot the Oneness of God as taught by Abraham and all other prophets including Jesus.

3} “And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.”

4} “Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee…” Within less than 23 years the whole of Arabia was united.

5} “…because of abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.” Within less than a century Islam spread out of Arabia to other countries.

6} “The multitudes of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah:all they from Sheba shall come, they shall bring gold and incense: and they shall shew forth the praises of the Lord.”

7} “All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.” The tribes of Kedar(Arabia)who were divided were then united. “The house of my glory” referred here to the House of Allah in Mecca .It is a fact that the villages of Kedar(now whole Saudi Arabia at least) are the only country of the world which remains impenetrable to any influence of the Church.

8} “Therefore thy gates shall be open continually: they shall not be shut day nor night; the men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.”It is a fact that the mosque surrounding the Holy Ka’bah in Mecca has remained open day and night since it was cleansed by Prophet Muhammad[PBUH] from the idols 1400 years ago. Rulers as well as subjects came for pilgrimage.

Revelation to Muhammad: The 1st revelation of Allah through the angel Gabriel to Muhammad was the word (Iqra) "read" in Surah 96:1-5: As he was unlettered he replied "I cannot read". This 1st revelation was prophesized in Isaiah 29:12 "And the book is delivered to him that is not learned saying, Read this, I pray thee, and he saith ,I am not learned.” These revelation came in installments, and inserted in certain order in the Quran as ordained by Allah, was also mentions in Isaiah 28:10-11 "For precept must be upon precept , precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little ,there a little, for with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to his people."Another tongue means another language, not Hebrew or Aramaic, but Arabic. Muslims all over the world are using one language, which is Arabic,in calling their God, in their prayers, pilgrimage and in their greetings to each other. Also this unity of language had been prophesied in Zephaniah 3:9: “For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve Him with one consent.”Alas the truth has come in Arabic.
