To start off, I am 18 and I have PCOS (Polycystic Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) and been told by my doctor that I've never gone through ovulation. Well, I've been on birth control for 3 months now to regulate my period cycle and to fix my hormones. Well, my boyfriend and I have finally decided to have sex for the first time about a week ago and got too caught up in the moment to remember precautions. I thought nothing of it as, you know, birth control. But now I'm going through things I've never gone through before. My boobs ache and are sensitive; on the sides, top, and middle. My lower back hurts on occasions. (I'm sorry if this is nasty, as it was for me since I've never had it happen) but I've had milky discharges for the past few days. I'm a lot more gassy than I usually am. Now, I've researched these changes and now I'm all confused. These symptoms apply with both pregnany and ovulation, from what I take from articles I've read. My period is supposed to start in about a week, but I have this worry on my head and I'd like to know if any of you have any idea what's going on with me. Thanks in advance!

Okay so I have a cat I call Buddy and I got him from being abandoned by some people at my sister's work. I've had him for at least 4 months and he's been very playful and normal. However this morning I turned off my fan for the first time and for some reason this freaked him out and he ran and hid and did not come out. I turned on the fan again and it made a strange noise but by then Buddy had already been hiding. So I left it off and went to school as he hid within my closet. 8 hours later I come home and find him still hiding out and shaking. I called to him and he refused to come out when usually he comes out to me. So I brought him out and placed him on my bed but he didnt like this. He froze up and started to shake as he stared up at the fan or past it I dont really know. Recently he's only been hiding and refuses to come out still. But he did come out like once to get 3 bites of food then went back in. But when he walks he is close to the ground and his eyes are glued to the ceiling and occasionally he looks at me and back at the fan. The fan currently isnt working and won't work again. He is right now hiding under my bed but meows in reply when I call out to him but wont come out. I am really worried about him and I would like to have him come out again because he is very playful. Under my bed he is playful and acts normal but when he comes out or when I bring him out and cuddle him in a blanket he shakes violently and stares up at the ceiling in fear. And when I placed him on my bed, close to the ceiling, he freaked out and jumped off and ran and hid. He usually always loves my bed and sleeps next to me everynight. I would like to know anything someone may know, if you dont mind.

I've had my guinea pig, Gir, for about a month or two now. I recently got him a new bigger cage with everything he used to have inside of it as to make it as less stressful as possible. However, he is back to normal but now wheeks a lot whenever I walk into the room and call to him. He has all his hay and food and toys, I even give him treats, but he doesn't stop. Another thing is that when I hang out with him in front of his cage, he leans into the opening and EATS my hair while trying to climb onto my arms! It's very strange and annoying because my hair is long so it's an easy reach. That's what he seems interested in only, even when I offer him some of his favorite treats; it is only sometimes that he'll get distracted by the treats and accept them. I guess what I'm trying to ask is why does he seem restless and nibble on my hair, how do I stop this?

My guinea pig Gir used to hate being picked up, ran away from me and everything, but now he prefers to jump into my arms when I stick my hand in and call him. He runs and jumps around inside of his cage when I talk to him and head towards his cage, then tries to climb up the cage wall towards me. Should I stop him from leaping out at me? Or is this something I should be concerned about? Please help me, I haven't heard anything about this before. Oh, and I play with him everyday and treat him properly.

I have a young Guinea Pig, Gir, and I am getting him a bigger cage and cage mate very soon. what I need help understanding is how old should I get his cage mate for? I forgot to ask the petstore how old my guinea is but he looks around some months or 1 year at the most. he is still very little.

about that big maybe a little bigger. ^ and he is a male so i am getting another male that hasn't been around females. my wonder is does anyone know how old the other male has to be to be comfortable with Gir?

My Guinea Pig bit the side of my pinkie today and I wondered if maybe I did something wrong. I had taken him out and let him inside his play pen and he was popcorning a lot. I reached in and petted him. Then he leaned on my hand with his paws against them and licked all over my hand before finding my pinkie. He first nibbled then bit, making it bleed slightly. I had fed him lettuce from my hand and thought maybe it was because he tasted the food...but I'm not sure and my mom told me to look it up but I found nothing. Does anyone know?

My two fish died while I was at Show Low for Thanksgiving. My cousin offered to look after the house and I showed him all the ways to feed them and care for them. But, he called and said they died R.I.P. Silver and Lil' Koi :'(. When we got home he had already thrown them away but left the tank filled up. It was extremely cloudy and the motors were clugged. What I don't get is how on Earth it got to be like that. My fish have been known for their extreme eating issues, they just LOVE to eat. So, I was shocked when I saw all that food in the tank, it was like WOW. Has this ever happened to anyone and does anyone know how this could have happened to prevent future repeats.

I think my Guinea Pig is starting to get used to me picking and carrying him, though he nipped me a few times when I accidentally held him wrong, and he started to do something new today. I tried looking it up but found nothing similar. When I hold Gir he stretches up towards my face and looks like he's about to touch my nose and lips but then backs down. He repeats it later on when I am about to put him back in his cage after playtime. I don't know if it's a friendly meaning or something different. Please help!

I just got a new Guinea Pig two days ago, whose name is Gir, and I'm amazed by how much he eats! I have him in my room currently, looking for a table to place the cage on, and whenever someone opens the door he freaks out and runs to his little box shelter I placed in there. He will nibble on my skin occasionally but stops when I tell him not to. Is that normal? And at night he's like running around everywhere, eats all his hay, munches his food, and scatters his bedding everywhere. He is quite the nervous guy but seems to only trust me just a bit. I've held him twice now and he stays calm against my chest but freaks when I pick him up. He looks very young, maybe three inches long or less and I'm thinking that it's part of the reason why he's so nervous and shy. Now, he's eating from my hand when I offer it but always seems interested in my nails since they are long. Can anyone give me some minor tips to these occurrences, please? I don't know whether it's normal or...something is wrong with my Gir. Oh, and whenever I walk around in my room he pauses and watches me closely, then if I move too much he runs for his shelter. Please help!

My snail, whom I named George, had been retreating into his shell for a while and when I prodded at him he moved. Then, like a week afterward, he's gone! He's completely gone from his shell, as if he was sucked out. Then my sucker fish, who is Elephant, had been sucking on George's shell for a few days until I shooed him away. But I also found the bottom rough part of my snail on the gravel, the part where he uses to suck onto the wall, and no other sign of him. I am thinking that Elephant ate him but I don't think that's possible. Does anyone know? Please help, this is really bothering me. :/

I have a fish tank that i bought at Petsmart but i don't remember how many gallons it is. I used to think that it was a 40 but when i see other 40s they all look so much smaller than mine. And I was wondering if there was a way to find out the gallons...please help if you know!

I have a forty gallon fish tank with one 10inch koi in there, I am getting a 125/150 gallon fish tank soon, and it is getting quite cloudy sometimes. Right now it has been cloudy for at least two days, and I am going to clean it up soon. But my sister tells me that I need to change the water but I'm not real sure when to. Is it every month? Please help, sorry for so many questions. :)

I have (had maybe) a little sucker fish that I put by himself because the other fish attacked him. Last night, he was in there sucking on the tank wall. But. This morning when I turned on the light, he was gone! I texted my sister and mom asking if they moved him or something, but they said they didn't. Now, this whole thing is confusing the heck out of me. Does anyone have an idea on what happened to him? I checked under things, I even check around the tank to see if he jumped out, but I found NOTHING. Please help, me. This has never happened before.

My sucker fish is continuously trying to suck onto my 9 inch koi in a forty gallon tank, don't worry I'm getting a 150 gallon tank soon. He did it for like...3? maybe 4 days then stopped for a week or so, then today he tried to suck onto my koi's head. Which, to teach the sucker fish a lesson, my koi smacked it away with his tail and swam away. Pretty funny actually. But, why is my sucker fish doing this? Does anyone know? Please help!

Is it okay for one koi to stay in a 100 gallon tank for awhile, he is currently 9 or so inches. I might get a 100 gallon tank in a little while, and I am wondering how long he could stay in there....

I bought a new goldfish and put it with another one in a forty gallon tank, he stays at the surface and skims it. While the other fish just swims around like usual. But, the strange thing is that at night, the new goldfish swims around happily. But stays at the upper left corner during the day. I think it's because he's getting used to the tank but am unsure. Is he okay?

Shouldn't have any infections cause I treated the tank once he was inside, and gave fish anti parasite food for a week.
