8 AnswersLanguages8 years agoWhy must we not look for truth?
Why must you people not care for truth? All you do is try to confirm your belief, even if it is not true. Whenever an atheist is doubting, instead of looking for evidence for religion, they try to confirm that atheism is true, even if it's not. Science does the same. When they form a hypothesis, they just want to be right. They don't want to find truth. Truth cannot be found by looking to men, but by looking for yourself at the world and at the different options.
I have found truth, but have you, and do you want to?
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoIs it possible to be 100% self sufficient?
I know it would take lots of money (and maybe charity/family/friend support), but do you guys think this would be possible? I have been admiring the way of a simple life, and I had an idea, which at first may seem absurd, but it does seems to work in theory. Here it is:
The idea is to live 100% self-sufficient, meaning you would literally have $0, but still live a decent life. Here's how:
*Get a few friend's and family for support and help with building and initial finance.
*Get a well for water.
*Build a house, and buy your property in full (or homestead so you don't have to purchase).
*Get a horse for transport and chickens for food. Make sure to get one of both sexes so you only need to purchase once.
*Start your farm. Get land big enough so that your harvest lasts all year.
*Get heat from the local woods.
*Water pressure? I think not. Use your well and local river or stream. Wash dishes in bowls.
*Use sun for light, or buy an oil lamp and grow olives for fuel.
*Do anything else needed so you never need to spend a penny again.
Upsides:
*No sales tax, as you make no sales
*No income tax, as you have no income
*No water, electricity, or heat fees
*No internet fees
*A laborer deserves his food
*You are not affected by economic problems
