2000 Ford Contour SE.

1. A/c blows the air out from the defrost vents by the windshield instead of the vents on the panel....

2. When I'm stopped at a red light with car idling, the car starts vibrating as if it wants to shut off. I was told the problem was a sensor that's connected to the engine that keeps the engine revved at a steady pace while it's idle. Is that true?

Sometimes- When I start the truck, it shakes and hesitates to start. When I'm idle with the truck on, it vibrates- always happening...rough idling.. No 'check engine' light is on. Any idea what can cause these symptoms? Maybe use a fuel system cleaner or higher octane gasoline? Dirty M.A.F Sensor?

The check engine light turned on and I got these codes after they ran the scanner at auto Zone.

P0171

defective Oxygen sensor -bank 1, sensor 1

MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty

P0174

Defective Oxygen Sensor - Bank 2 sensor 2

I turn on the truck, it starts to vibrate and sometimes I smell a fuel odor.

Would these codes cause the fuel odor to come out?

I know where the MAF sensor is on the truck But Where are these oxygen sensors located?

Links & diagrams would help. No short answers from people desperate for points.

Any time I turn on the A/C or heater, I hear something clicking and the engine or transmission revs for a few seconds. if I have the truck in [D]rive and I have foot on the brakes, the truck tries to move forward as if your pushing the gas while the Em. brakes are on. If I have the truck in [P] park with the A/C or heater on, it makes the clicking noise and the RPM odometer moves up to the 1 or 1 1/2.

Is there a problem here?

So I got the check engine light and I went to get them scanned At auto zone. These 2 codes came up and I was told the knock sensor and Mass airflow sensor were not working. I asked if they had the knock sensor and the computer program they use said this vehicle is not equipped with one. when I asked about P0174, they said to replace the air filter first and see if that works if not, than I should replace the M.A.F sensor or the spark plugs or the spark plug wires. and before this I was told to replace the vapor canister purge valve and the vapor canister purge solenoid. I have low mpg, the truck shakes when Idle & slow acceleration. Fuel is wasted faster if I drive with A/C on. When this problem, started I had a fuel odor anytime the truck was on but not now. Anyone know what is the problem Or any help?

I have a 2002 Ford Ranger XLT extra cab v6. I'm looking for the oxygen sensor that is infront of the muffler and the one infront of it. I know how it says on some check engine scanners something like 'bank 1 sensor 2' but when I Check auto parts stores it just says upstream or downstream. which one should I get? Also I noticed the mpg and acceleration is low ( when I go from a stop it feels like I'm pulling a trailer And I need to get gas 2 or 3 times a week) I was told I need to have the evap canister replaced. Is that problem and the evap canister related? Please don't post "google it", if that was an Answer, Y! Would not have this page and Thank You.

How do you change the honk/beep that goes off when you lock or unlock the doors from the honk/beep to just the beep alone on a 2014 Toyota Tacoma crewcab?

I had a check engine light cane on. I took it for it to get checked and they gave me this code- P0457 EVAP small leak detected. ECM has detected a large leak in the EVAP System during a system monitor test.

The paper said I had a leak in the Evap canister or hose. I took the truck to a mechanic and was told I had Bad oxygen sensors.

Can Bad/Dirty oxygen sensors make this error code come up?

Does anyone know exactly where the oxygen sensors are? I was told they were behind the mufflers but I didn't see any and the diagram I found was not accurate.

I notice a fuel odor when the truck is on and the gas mileage / MPG. Is lower then average. If I drive 45 Minutes down the freeway, the gas odometer goes down like if the gas tank had a leak. Is there some way to check the Evap Canister/hose or the Vent solenoid ? where is it located? Is it expensive to fix?

I Close doors securely and start driving. After a few minutes the "door ajar' alarm starts going off but the door ajar light on the board doesn't light up. It does work because if I open the door, it lights up. I try closing the door again and make sure cap on gas tank is closed but door ajar alarm still goes off. It runs for a few mminutes while I'm driving. What's the problem here?

I'm going to the super dome in New Orleans in a few weeks. I just want to know what to expect when I go....what kind of security do they have at the door? Do they just check the bags or wave the metal detector wand around everyone? How much is it to park in the garage and parking lots? Are there any good seafood restaurants around downtown that are not $20+ a plate?

I have a Kindle Fire HD with the 7" screen but I can't see video clips that use the adobe flash player. Adobe saysy to download it but they don't have a version for the kindle. Amazon says that flash is already on the kindle, it is disabled by default and that I just have to enable it in settings but there is no option for flash in settings. I have the most updated software on the kindle. Is there an app or something I'm missing?
