Has anyone been to the Mercedes-Benz Super Dome?
I'm going to the super dome in New Orleans in a few weeks. I just want to know what to expect when I go....what kind of security do they have at the door? Do they just check the bags or wave the metal detector wand around everyone? How much is it to park in the garage and parking lots? Are there any good seafood restaurants around downtown that are not $20+ a plate?

Depends on the event about how much security is present. Normally, it's a lot. Parking at the dome is either $25 or $30. Parking lots are cheaper depending how far away from the dome you actually park. But, you have to watch the neighborhoods. Things on the upriver side of I-10 get dicey real quick. Food at the dome is about the cost of a $20 plate. There are all kinds of seafood restaurants toward the CBD. But, they are pricey. BTW, CBD is Central Business District. We don't really have an area we call downtown. :)
