My interest is in History and mythology.

Normally, even with this interest, most people from the eastern side of the world knows more about chinese, indian, japanese, history etc while the western knows more about britain, france and egypt history etc.

However, in my case, I seek to know about every one of them from Jeanne D'arc to Gaius Julius Caesar and people from BC like Qin Shi Huang and Alexander the Great. My interest also goes as far as mythological character like Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, Yamato Takeru, Lancelot du lac and Hector. This also include semi-legendary king like Gilgamesh and Himiko. Of course, this doesn't only limit to military figure as I am also interested in Hermes Trismegistus, William Shakespeare and Bodhidharma.

I am also spending my allowance on book about this character and have a plan to buy one every month without fail and I am planning on getting books like the Epic of Gilgamesh and Tales of Heike. My fascination with this historical figure also lead me to being interested in the occult because of character like Gilles de Rais and Morgan le Fay. However, there is no way to get my interest on people like Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin or any one from the modern era. The only thing I am interested in Nazi is the hakenkreuz.

Also, other than the modern era, my interest also limit itself to Demi-god, I don't care about Zeus and any god and I do not think of Jesus Christ as a god, only the son of god. However, despite this interest, if I feel that a certain character is uninteresting, I dismiss him immediately, like Augustus and Liu Bei. I do not get myself concern with worldy affairs about people like Obama and thus is often ignorant of what is happening to the world now, simply inludging in the past.

Thus, I am starting to wonder is history and mythology even my interest as a could care less about Hitler. Is this some kind of thirst for knowledge or obsession as I prefer to distant myself from most other than those I feel is interesting.
