  • When will George Bush announce pardons for his cronies?

At his final press conference, Bush refused to answer any questions about whom he will pardon. My money is on Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, Donald Rumsfield, Alberto Gonzalez, Harriet Meiers, Douglas Feith, Monica Goodling, Lester Crawford and Paul Wolfowitz. But will he announce the pardons on Friday afternoon which is generally the best time to avoid greater media attention, or on Monday, with the hope his absolution will be eclipsed by the Obama inauguration combined with an invocation of the spirit of forgiveness in homage to MLK?

So when will the announcment be released to the press?

    And who will he pardon?

  • Can I get off and later reboard flight at transit stop?

I have a flight from NYC to LHR vis MUC on LH. My return the following week is from LHR to NYC via FRA on LH. Can I get off in MUC without using the MUC-LHR leg? Then can I get back on in FRA for the flight back to NYC without using the LHR-FRA portion? I am not checking luggage. I am traveling light with just carry-on. Is there a penalty? Will failure to fly all legs void the return flight?

  • Can an American see a Canadian doctor for healthcare?

I live in the US near the Quebec border and do not have health insurance. Is it a big deal to get an appointment with a doctor in Montreal or Sherbrooke or any place in between? Do I need to wait in line behind Canadian citizens? What will it cost me for a physical exam? Is there a prohibition against Canadian doctors treating uninsured Americans? Je parle un peu de francais s'il fait une difference.

  • Neckties in the washing machine?

Maybe I'm really cheap and don't want to spend a fortune dry cleaning neckties. Is there a method for washing them in a regular household washer without totally destroying them? What cycle? What kind of soap? Or just spend another penny and go to the dry cleaners?

  • Who wrote this German language poem?

. . . unzufrieden.

    Just wondering???

  • Health Question for CPAP travel to Europe?

I've got a nasal CPAP that is set for 100 - 240 AC / 12 Volt DC and plan to travel to Spain soon. What kind of voltage converter do I need to get? There are some converters for high wattage appliances like hair dryers or heat producing appliances. Even if the CPAP is not heat producing, will a low wattage converter work?

  • Pilgrim Passport for the Camino in Sarria, Spain?

Is there a place in Sarria (Spain) to pick up a blank Pilgrim Passport or do I need to go out of my way to a big city cathedral to get one? I plan on taking the night train from Madrid to Sarria and start walking towards Santiago de Compestelo from there. I've set aside 5 days to do this. What do you recommend?
