Do you start to loose hope in humanity?

I've heard of there being Christians who are homosexual and are ok with that, and others who argue that the Bible does not condemn being homosexual. Can anyone back that up, with scripture? The only things I've read on it say that homosexuality is a sin, so how can these people make such claims?

I've dated a few women over the past few years and it seems to me that all of their mothers are crazy to some degree. Is this true of other guy's experiences, or do I just keep finding the odd ones?
