  • Fashion Advice: Can I carry a chocolate brown purse in a black leather handbag?

I have a beautiful status anxiety purse in chocolate brown that I love. Yesterday was my birthday and my Mum bought my a lovely black leather handbag. As I was transferring everything over into the new handbag she told me that I would need to use a different purse because "black and brown don't go together". Sounds ridiculous to me.. is this a thing? Am I breaking some important fashion rule by carrying my brown purse in a black bag?

  • Can I change the display on my laptop?

I dropped my laptop and part of the screen smashed and left a big black mark. I wonder if I can change my laptop display so that the black spot doesn't interfere with anything? Basically I can't see the start button at all (or any of that task bar along the bottom and a quarter of the screen on the right hand side is blacked out.

  • Can kids wear white to a wedding?

I know it's considered impolite for a female guest to wear white to a wedding but I'm wondering if it's okay for my daughter? She's 2 and would be wearing a white long sleeved shirt and linen pants. I'm a bit of a dunce when it comes to etiquette and dress codes so any help would be appreciated.

FYI: It's an outdoor/tropical destination wedding in Bali if that makes a difference.

  • Is it illegal for someone to mark mail 'return to sender' when we are at the address?

We are living in an apartment building that is also a hotel (there are some long term residents here, but most of the hotel is run by Peppers resorts). We have been living here for 10 months without a problem but were advised today that without further notice any mail that comes to the reception desk is going to be marked 'return to sender'. Not just ours, but everyones because of a dispute the hotel management are having with the building's body corporate.

Is it legal for them to mark our stuff return to sender if the mail is deliverable and we are at the address?

We live in Australia if that helps.

  • Is there a website where I can wrap a virtual gift?

I have bought my friend a DVD box set via amazon which isn't actually released until a few days after Christmas which means it won't arrive in Australia until Jan 10th. I was thinking I would send him an email with a picture of the DVD in it on Christmas Day so that he knows I didn't forget about him but I wonder if there are websites where I can wrap the picture and he can unwrap it online. I just think that might make it more fun. Anyone know what I mean, or know of any websites that let you do that?

  • How do I get over my fear of new people?

I have just moved to a small country town in a new country. My husband works nights as a chef in a town about 30 minutes away and I'm finding it difficult to meet people. I have been trying to work up the courage to go to the local pub on a Friday or Saturday night but I'm afraid of walking in alone and finding everyone in groups.. how do I start up a conversation with them. What if no one talks to me? Aaargh! It's so frustrating because I don't know what I am so worried about.

So, How do I get over my fear? What should I do? Help!

I have a lot of time on my hands at the moment and I'm really getting into watching TV series on DVD and I'd like to get some more recommendations.

I'm really into Dawson's creek at the moment so any shows like that would be great.

I also really love Six Feet Under and The Office.

    Any suggestions would be great.

  • What conferencing software do you use?

We want to be able to hold meetings where people may be in several different locations and we want to enable 2 way audio and visual communication with people. Examples of some of the things we want to be able to do include:

    1. One person (Person A) present a PowerPoint presentation. Everyone else be able to view that presentation on their computer in real-time and listen to what the speaker is saying. We want people to be able to ask questions at any time and have the speaker be able to respond as if they were in the same room. (The audio can be done via Skype conferencing).

    2. Someone else in the meeting (Person B) interrupt and be able to then show something on their computer to everyone else in the meeting, and then give control back to Person A to continue the presentation.

    3. Person A show a group of people in remote locations how to do something, like start the PPM Wizard, then have each person do it on their own computer. Person A should then be able to check each person’s computer to see what they are doing and to help them – that is Person A needs to be able to access the other person’s computer real-time while they watch.

    4. Person A may want to give control of their computer to someone else in the group and have other people all see what is happening. For example, person A may be showing them how to crop an image. Then person A says to Person B, you use my computer to demonstrate how to do it, Then Person A asks Person C to demonstrate on Person A’s computer.

    I hope that makes sense!
