Bakers of gluten free products, what are your preferred flours for bread; almond, corn, potato, rice, soy? I know the potato would be used as only a small part of the total flour used. Any gluten free bread biscuit recipes would be appreciated.

any bakers out there knows barley does not have enough gluten to rise on its own. instead of adding wheat flour to your barley flour can you add vital wheat gluten?

This may be shallow and is rather personal. Do any of you guys wear ball weights or stretchers and how much weight do you use? FYI I wear a parachute ball stretcher with about 8 - 12 ounces, not every day and so far only at home.

OK cake decorators, This will be my first attempt at fondant. I have a rolled fondant recipe, that sounds easy enough. My question is; can I replace the plain gelatin with strawberry jello? Jello calls for a total of two cups water, while the fondant calls for only a tablespoon or two. I am not making jello, so I will use as little water as possible and add extra sugar if needed. I am making a STRAWBERRY cake. Strawberry cake, I may replace the water called for in the mix with pureed strawberry. There will be a filling made from strawberry jam. All topped with strawberry fondant.

So to repeat the question; can I use strawberry jello in place of the plain called for; if I adjust the liquid to sugar ratio?

they are a company that assist in the filing of grants ; government, corporate and others. U. of Arizona gives them high marks, a plethora of other non gov, non regulatory, non scientific trash them. At a glance these detractors seem to be individuals who may not have been approved for their grant. I am considering starting a micro <10 acres organic farm. Start up will be high, a bank would not touch it. I have 30+ years horticulture experience, am retired now and have time to put into something I have wanted to do for a very long time.

O. tuberosus is an old root crop from south america. it is making a comeback for those with an adventurous palate. with what i know of its culture it could be a good crop for third world countries. it is just short of a weed, withstands cold and tropical heat.
