  • does anyone have pic of rachel bayliss going under that trakehner?

it was at badmington, and i think she was riding gurgle the greek. it was in the early '70's i think.

for those who don't know, she 'cleared' a trakehener on the course by going UNDER the log. after that they changed the rules.

I can't find a picture of it anywhere on the net. id love to see it if anyone has a link.

  • changing channel to av on old telly?

i have a really old (about 10 years) granada tv, i've lost the remote (well, my toddler threw it in the bin) and i can't get av now.

there is no manual buttons - ust channel and volume up and down.

i now can't get the playstation to work.

is there any way i can change to av?

the sky runs through av also, and i can watch it fine because it auto selects, i just can't get the playstation to work.

  • is this virus disguised as something else?

i noticed a strange icon on my desktop last night, it's a virgin media logo, but i don't have virgin broadband, and i haven't installed anything by virgin.

the logo says 'dfd' beneath it.

when i right click and select properties i get a box that says 'propterties are not avaialble' thee is no option to delete this and my norton isn't picking anything up.

i also cannot drag it into the recyle bin, althoughi can move it about the screen.

it's no listed in the programme directory. so i suspect that it's not anything legit.

any ideas how i can get rid of it?

i tried a system restore which keeps failing, and since last night i haven't been able to acess the internet, i get a notice asking me to select my dial up, but i don't have dial up, never have.

any ideas? i think thay are all connected

  • adopting internationally ?

i live in northern ireland (technically uk)

i have been considering adoption for a long time, several years infact. i was told at 17 that i couldn't have children due to a medial condition. it was then that i first started to think that one day i would adopt.

two years ago i very unexpectedly became pregnant, and my little miricale baby was born.

instead of putting me off, it only spurred me on. having experienced how wonderful it is to have a child in my life, and feeling blessed every day that i was given her when i had long ago become resigned to the fact that i would never have a child, i just want to give another child a home.

there is so much love in our house, and if i can help make life better for just one child, give them all the love they need and deserve, that would mean everything.

my daughter is two now, and i feel this is a really good time to start the process.

i have already been in touch with my local health trust and i'm waiting on home assessments etc to start.

i want to adopt internationally, from a country where a child is very unlikely to get a home. here in ireland ther are more adoptive parents than they are adoptive children. i don't care where a baby comes from, although i feel very drawn to russia, africa and india mainly because we have all three of these nationalities in our family and extended family already and i though it would be better to have a family member that shares the same background etc, some connection to their own cultrure etc. (i have a massive extended family, and we are all very close and supportive)

but what i wanted to know was how others found the process. i'm excited but terrified.

i have no idea how much this is going to cost, and i'm a little worried, but money isn't really going to put me off.

has anyone in northern ireland adopted internationally? what did you do? what agency did you use?

any advice to help me along or avoid pitfalls would be really appreciaed.

i dont know anyone here who has done this, so it's all pretty new and scary for me.

anything else i realy should know?

  • what does he really think?

ok, my bf and i had a masive fight which resulted in him being taken away by the police. not a good moment.

we didn't talk to a couple of weeks. but now when i take our daughter up to see him he doesn't even look at me. he doesn't speak, and if i ask him a direct question he either ignores me completely or give a one word answer.

but he has no problem texting me. obviously he's still angry, and he says he blames me, but i'm not the one who got arrested. he uses every opportunity to try and pick a fight and has been so disgustingly mean and cruel to me since. i haven;t retaliated. i have been nice and i have been reasonable and i simply refuse to answer his texts when he starts this.

anyway, he went on one a week or two ago and told me he was seeing someone else. but he has our daughter at his mothers all friday night, and he seems to spend most of his sat and sunday nights trying to pick a fight with me, so i'm thinking he isn't actually seeing anyone and was just trying to get a reaction out of me. i have ignored it so far, but's it driving me mad.

can i just stress that this is all very uncharacteristic behviour for him. he's usually a really nice guy, and he's a psychologist, so he should know what his behaviour is doing.

    so guys, any ideas?
