  • Should I foster a dog?

I have an old lab (13+) and I know his time is limited. Would fostering a dog(s) be a good idea? I'm wondering if the company of another animal would be good for him. It seems like a good idea, but I'm wondering if I'm missing something. Would this be a bad for my pet, aside from fostering a potential aggressive/violent dog?

    Thanks.

  • Is it time to put my dog down?

He's a 13.5 year old lab. He recently sprained his rear leg. Had him on pain meds and he started moving around again, but not 100%. Over the last couple of days, he's vomited 3 times, has been lethargic, and won't eat. I was hoping he would feel better once he got over the nausea and started eating again. That hasn't happened yet.

This is a really tough decision for me.

  • If you were to write a book about your sex life, what would you title it?

If your sex life isn't interesting, pretend that it is. What's a funny, clever title?

  • I'm buying a new mountain bike...narrowing my options. What do you think of these bikes?

    I rode a cheap Cannondale 26er for years. Switching to a 29er.

Trek Mamba, Giant Talon 1, Cannondale SL 4, or Specialized Rockhopper (2013 all black)

I'm a casual rider, enjoying the fun downhills and the exercise. Not doing any crazy jumps or anything too extreme.

    Thanks.

  • Start Ryan Grant or Stevan Ridley?

It's a tought bye week for me. I've got Shonn Greene in there @ NE. My options for 2nd RB are:

    Ryan Grant @ ATL

    Brandon Jacobs vs. SEA

    Stevan Ridley vs. NYJ

Grant outplayed Starks a couple of weeks ago. Jacobs is kinda hit or miss, though, I like the matchup. Ridley looks like he's on the rise.

  • My DVD player just broke. Thinking about going PS3 or Xbox. Which has better DVD features? Thanks.?

I have an old TV as well. Since I'm switching DVD players, that probably means I need to upgrade my TV.

  • I'm thinking about purchasing a video game console. PS3 or Xbox 360?

I just heard that Mortal Kombat was coming out with the new game that looks pretty cool. It's been about 6 years since I've owned any video game console, and even then it was dated. I used to be into that game, and thought it would be fun to play again. I'll probably also play a couple of adventure, shooters, and sports games.

Which system do you think is better? Thanks.

  • Which D/ST do you like this week: Redskins or Dolphins?

The 'Skins are @ STL, the 'Phins have the Jets at home.

STL isn't very good, NYJ are inconsistent, and may be w/o Edwards.

  • Is this a sketchy fantasy trade?

Cedric Benson and Louis Murphy for Justin Forsett and Mark Sanchez.

It seems like one guy is getting a top-end RB, and only giving up a flex and his 3rd backup QB. Doesn't seem right. What do you think?

  • Is a commissioner crossing the line if...?

He vetoes a trade he determines to be unfair, say a pre-season 2nd rounder for a 13th rounder? Does he let teams sink or swim, according to his projections? Should he keep the interest of fair play and the integrity of the league as his top priority?

  • Has anyone else noticed that espn's fantasy rankings are totally busted?

I did a mock draft last night. I'd say they have the top 6 RBs, the top 12 WRs, and the top 8 QBs on track, but the rest is total garbage. If you go to other mock draft sites, you see the ADP is much different.

Here's the thing: I'm commissioner of my league. I don't think too many other guys do their own rankings. Is it my job to tell the other guys to do their own rankings if they want a good team, or do I let them sink?

  • If your drafting towards the end of the 1st round, what is your strategy?

After CJ, All day, MJD, Gore, Rice, and Turner, I'm finding it difficult to rank RBs, and WRs. I probably wouldn't take a QB considering the depth there. Do you go RB/WR or WR/RB? Which players are you targeting? Which players are you avoiding?

  • Who is at fault in this accident?

Car A is northbound, Car B is parked on the side of the road facing north. Car A hits the open door of Car B which destroys the passenger mirror of Car A. Car A's driver says the door was opened into his car...driver of car B at fault. Car B's driver says the door was already open when Car A struck it, making the driver of Car A at fault.

Who is at fault in this scenario?

  • How many catholic priests have been prosecuted for sexual abuse?

Shouldn't these criminals be in jail, or some even on death row? Rape is second only to murder, and these guys are doing it to children! I can't believe that this isn't a bigger news story.

How many of these guys are paying for their crimes?

  • Good ideas for a 2nd date?

1st date was casual and fun. I don't know if I should keep that up or go with something different. It's supposed to rain, so that forces an indoors date. One thought was a museum. Another was a bar trivia night. The only problem with that being that depending on the topics, we may not know anything.

    Any other thoughts?

  • A little help from the ladies. I think I may have screwed up a first date.?

The first 2/3 of the date were great! Conversation, laughing, etc.

We go back to my place, sit down, have some wine. We talk, I decided to go in for a kiss. It ends up being a series of soft pecks. Now I'm thinking maybe this isn't going so well. The conversation doesn't flow like it did, and it seems like we're just trying to find a way to finish the wine w/o too many awkward silences.

I walk her out, kiss her, walk her the street to catch a cab, give another peck goodnight, the end.

I send a text today, she sends one back that's nice, but doesn't sound great.

Can I salvage this? We have a lot in common and she seems like a great girl.

I did not disclose to her that I'm recently out of a year and 1/2 relationship.

  • Do Americans have the right to affordable health care, or...?

Do private insurance companies have the right to continue to raise our premiums, gouge us, and lower our living standards?

Are you for reform or against? For the people or for corporate America?

  • Creationists and rationalists, has the battle found it's way to facebook?

There are 2 groups you can join, one creationist, one evolutionist. It's something like get 1,000,000 members by June. The evolution one was in response to the creation group. Evolution is currently at around 200,000. Creationists haven't even broke 50,000 yet.

  • Is my relationship over?

My girlfriend and I have been together for over a year. She expressed her disappointment in our scheduling conflicts and it seemed as if there were no way of getting around it. There were also other issues, mostly minor, but having an accumulative effect. We tried to solve the problem, but the solutions weren't that great and there was emotion involved.

It seems like we left it at trying to make it work. I'm not sure we can do that after it feels like we've already started to move in the other direction.

  • Are there any measures in the health care bill about restricting drug companies advertising to the public?

I think this is a major contributor to health care costs. Drug companies advertise like crazy, consumers think they need these drugs, go to doctors, get prescriptions, and insurance companies cover it, resulting in higher premiums for everyone.

It wasn't so long ago that drug companies were not allowed to advertise to the public. If we returned to that, do you think it would result in fewer doctor's visits, fewer prescriptions, and lower premiums?

    Is this in the bill?
