ok, so for a year now i have been saving for a 50/1.4. i went to the shop today and the guy suggested the 85/1.8.

i usually shoot more nature (flowers and such) and portraits. i have enough cash for one of the either. or, should i get the 85/1.8 AND the 50/1.8?

HELP!!! i use the 450D.

i got a 450D mid of last year and now i'm dying for a lense other than my kit... i would looove for the 1.4 but it's taking too long for me to save up for it. here in malaysia, the 1.4 is going for rm1400+ and the 1.8 for rm300+, so you can see the extreme price difference.

what i'm needing are practical advise from experienced users/shooters of either (preferably both) on whether it's worth the loong unpredictable wait, or i should just go on ahead and begin with the 1.8?

two of us are working on a website. the guy does the main website in Dreamweaver while i do the flash buttons and banners. the problem we're facing is that the flash buttons placed in Dreamweaver doesn't link. he only knows dreamweaver, not flash, while i, am on the opposite. so, we don't know what is the problem.

when we click on "About us", it loads "www.about_us.htm" but, nothing appears in the window.

i've made the buttons animate and linking fine. but i need it to do this:

example:

when i click on "About", it opens about.html. but in the menu, i want "About" to still be highlighted.

could you lead me to a complete and working tutorial to do this? i'm using Flash MX8 actionscript 2.0

it doesn't flash very well. when i'm taking pictures for a church indoor event, especially when i need to take quick multiple action shots, the flash would have a "busy" sign on the lcd and i have to wait a few seconds to be able to shoot again, which frustrates me in missing out crucial shots of the event.

a pro photog at the shop told me i have to use a high iso so i wont be using the battery so much, so i've tried with iso 800, but the inbuilt flash also takes so long to recover.

is this common for this canon model? my olympus E-500 has NEVER had any flash problems. it's fast for any action and has never even had to go into any servicing aside from changing of the shutter button.

i also shoot with iso 800 and my batteries are fully charged, i made sure of that, and even bought new ones recommended by the photog at the shop. but it wouldn't fire everytime.

i've sent my external flash back to the shop, and true enough, it couldn't fire so they send it in for servicing. after a few weeks of sending it back to the service centre in another country, they found it could fire properly.

so i thought it was maybe just a fluke season, but since then, whenever i'm on my own, it just won't work! the shop people would not believe me and keep on saying it's my fault and that i don't know how to use it. it's so discouraging.

just the other day i needed my fash. i charged it well the night before but at crunch time, it only fired once, and then no more. i shoot in manual, someone told me i should keep it at "P"...would that be any better? and could you explain the reasons why?

what exactly am i doing wrong?

i bought the camera around july, and a few weeks after that, the external flash. i know i've waited too long to ask about my problems, but i thought it was really just me needing to get used to my equipment, but now it has become frustrating.

i'm doing this flash website and the client has a page called "Services" and it contains a lot of sub sections.

what i need help in:

buttons for each sub section will be on the top. the client wants all these information ready in a scrolling text bar below the buttons. but what they want is [ when you click on a button, it will scroll automacticaly to the specific section ].

how do i do this? i need very thorough steps in guiding me as i am not very savvy in scripting.

we're having a big event for families and its at the beach. we're designing a tshirt for the event and we chose green. but, does it really represent hawaii? if it does, what shade? but can a hawaiian mood be concluded as just one single color? what do you think? what color/shade would u suggest?

My 3yr old male cat was diagnosed to have Cystitis (stones in the bladder) and was treated with stone medication. It has been 3wks now into his medication of antibiotics but he is still bleeding when he urinates. He has a Catheter in his urinary tract, so at least the urine is able to come out.

Our local Vet here is puzzled with the constant bleeding. Does anyone know what is wrong and what we should do?

We have changed his diet of cat biscuits to fish and rice. It’s a struggle to get my cat to eat those since he is so used to his biscuits, but the minerals in the biscuit is doing him no good. He is loosing weight fast and I am worried. I’d appreciate any response.

Friendster is my main concern.

Here we load pictures, and obviously, they get stored someplace on the internet. the thing is, when we chose to delete a picture from our Friendster Picture box, will it be deleted too, in the internet "storage"? or does it stay somewhere hanging around the vast sea of the net? and is it easily accesible by another party?

this would be a big help, instead of me having to draw my own.

i am doing an assignment for Uni. the movies i recieved from my Uni uses .MPG whereas from my handycam, it comes out as .mpg . And i want to edit both these types using Premier movie editing software. The .mpg can be imported into the software, but not the shots from my handycam; the .MPG . what is wrong?
