  • Advice for switching bottles.?

I am bottle feeding and currently using the "Breastflow" bottle by First Steps. My baby loves this bottle (it has a unique double nipple) but they only make them in 5oz size. I tried an Avent bottle, but the flow was too much even with the newborn nipple. Any suggestions of 8oz bottles that might make for a smooth transition because of a similar nipple?

  • I have lost my voice and desperately want it back!?

    Here's the deal...

*I came down with a horrible head cold and have lost my voice as a result.

*I had a voice Mon and Tues, it was just raspy

*I have NO voice. ALL I can do is whisper, no matter how hard I try.

*I can finally breathe through my nose, but my throat is way dry.

*I can cough... big seal barks and mucus-y coughs.

*Most of the time my throat doesn't actually hurt. It only hurts if I cough, clear my throat or if it gets dry.

*I am not dehydrated. I've been through more water than I ever thought possible.

*I have tried losenges, hot tea, soup, etc.

*I bought a humidifier, but it has a hole in the part that holds the water - go figure... so once I exchange it I will see if that does any good.

*I am preggo... please don't tell me to take meds.

PLEASE HELP!! My preggo paranoia has set in and my brain thinks that I will never have a voice again. I've never lost my voice like this before and I am DYING for human interaction.

  • Nasuea during the first trimester?

I am 7 weeks along and this "morning sickness" started last week. Last week I was able to function and continue working. This week I feel weak (like I have the flu) and I can't seem to push this feeling away. I really need to start feeling better so I can get back to work (I teach preschool to 20 3 yr olds).

Do you have any suggestions of things that worked for you to keep the nasuea away and continue on your day?

  • Rhyme or song to say before a meal?

I am looking for a song or a rhyme to say with my 3 year old class before a meal (snack/lunch). We have been singing whatever simple song I can think of off the top of my head. But I'd like to have something cute about manners or food that we can say before meals. Non-religious, please.

    Thank you!

  • Preschool Clean up song?

I'm looking to find the artist and CD of a particular clean up song. I'm a preschool teacher and the teacher next door had this awesome clean up song. He's since left the school and I wasn't able to ask him for it before he left. My co-teacher says she thinks its by Jim Gill. It goes "Clean up time, clean up time, (something something something something) clean up time." Hey... it was through a wall, I'm trying my best. And there was something about boys and girls cleaning. I've downloaded a bunch of great (and not so great) clean up songs... but still haven't found this one. Any ideas are appreciated!!

  • Robin Thicke on American Idol?

Was anyone else disgusted by his performance? I know it's old news... but I haven't been around my computer. His performance totally creeped me out. It bugs me enough as it is that he sings in that creepy falsetto voice... but the combination of that and his movements and his words made me want to gag! Are there people that actually like him? Why?

  • Can you get paintball stains out of clothing?

I asked this question yesterday... but I only got 2 answers that didn't answer my question.

My hubby played paintball a few weekends back. I finally got around to washing the clothes he wore that weekend. I washed them twice then dried them without making sure they were totally clean. I just discovered that the sweatshirt he was wearing has oil stains from where he was hit. He says the paintballs are made out of canola oil and bees wax. Is there anyway to get these stains out? Or should I not even bother?

It's not the paint that stained. The paint came out. It's the oil that they use in the making of the paintballs that has stained the clothing. I want to know how to get the oil stains out... or if it's even possible...

  • Can you wash shoes?

My hubby played paintball in a muddy field a few saturday's ago. He wore his hiking boots (brown, not leather) and got them COVERED with mud. I had them outside drying in the sun hoping some of the mud would crust off, but it didn't. Can I throw them in the washer to get them clean? Can I put them in the dryer on low heat after they're clean? Any other suggestions for removing the mud?

  • Maitenance Required light?

I have an 06 Honda CRV. The Maitenance Required light has been on since I hit probably 13,000mi. The light would go on when I turned my car on, but go off as soon as I put it in gear. I've now hit 14,700mi and the light is staying on the whole time I drive. My car seems to be running fine... no problems, no noises. I change the oil when I'm supposed to - my hubby and dad change the oil (dad's a car guy).

Do I need to take my car into Honda? Is there some type of required tune-up that my car needs? Or is there something I can do to make the light go off?

  • Do you think Simon hates Peter Noone?

On American Idol tonight... Did you see the look on Simon's face when Ryan was talking to Peter Noone? The look was something like... "I hate you, I can't stand you, what are you talking about, please stop..." I'm thinking that Simon doesn't think much of Peter Noone.

  • Old TV show...?

Does anyone remember an old TV show... it had people dressed up in animal suits. (Like the old old pooh corner used to be back in the day). And it took place at a circus. There was an animal that played that piano instrument thing on wheels. And I remember it being pretty corney...

Maybe on PBS - back in the late 80's.

Anyone remember? Any websites (IMDB) that have info/pics?

  • Top Contributer?

Under some people's names there is an orange box that says "Top Contributer."

How do you become a top contributer? Because I've seen that some of these people give really cruddy answers. Do you have to get a certain number of best answers in a category to be a top contributer? Or do you just have to answer a bunch of questions?

  • What causes us to sneeze?

I've been sneezing all day, which is very unusual for me. My head/nose is all stuffed up. Nothing has changed in my house from yesterday to today, but today I'm sneezing up a storm! Am I experiencing allergies due to the weather? Will this go away soon?

  • Do you homeschool?

    *Who teaches your child(ren)?

*What are those person's qualifications to teach?

*Does your child(ren) learn phys ed., art, and music? By what means?

Do you believe that by homeschooling you are giving your child an overall better learning experience?

Do you think your child is ready to face the real world?

I'm most interested in the first three questions.

I don't have children nor do I plan on homeschooling my children. I am simply trying to learn more about it.

  • Why choose homeschooling?

This question is mainly for parents that have decided to homeschool their children.

What was your reasoning for homeschooling?

What do you think your child can gain from homeschooling that they can't get at a public or even private school?

Was your child previously enrolled in a public school but you took them out to homeschool them?
