  • Can a Tens unit release tense muscle?

I have scoliosis and muscular imbalance on my back (Not sure which came first). Due to this, my hips, shoulders, etc. are curved and i believe it has hindered,my growth (i am almost 15 with no growth spurt and significantly shorter than my family, 4'9)

Its quite obvious to see. The tightened muscle protrudes, and the normal one is relaxed. There is SO much muscle on the one side thst it makes it extremely hard.

I was curious, if i use a tens unit on the tightened muscle, can that cause it to release? Ive tried mhscle relaxers, no help.

I need a very large messenger bag for school. I am not fond of book bags as i put them on one shoulder anyways.

I need something large enough to fit a laptop in, as well as a couple binders (it should AT LEAST be able to fit 1 three inch binder and 2 two inch binders) and i need it to have plenty of pockets.

  • How to help "cure" or fix scoliosis?

So a couple of months ago i was told i have scoliosis. I never really payed attention to my spine or stomach until i was informed of this.

Recently, i started noticing that there is a difference between the right and left sides of my stomach. On the right, there is little muscle but it curves in quite a bit. On my left side, there is quite a bit of muscle and my stomach is practically straight.

Is there anything i can do to help correct this? My doctor did not give me anything to correct it, basically saying "if it gets worse we will do something to fix it".

I am a 13 year old female, about 79 pounds, 4'10 - 4'11. Any advice or anything would be amazing! Thank you

  • Does princeton have a medical school?

    I think Whitman is one.

If not, what ivy league colleges have a medical school?

  • Is there a type of ink that can only be seen when exposed to bodily fluids? (Such as semen, breast milk, and blood?)?

After recently seeing this on a television show (and highly doubting it was real) i went to go do some research on this "invisible ink"

But, i can not find anything on invisibly ink in the first place. Just printer ink, and the history of invisible ink.

If anyone knows anything on this topic, please list your knowledge of this "invisible ink", what it is called, and anything else you know.

    Thank you!

  • How to grow taller without surgery, creams, or pills?

    Hello.

So, i know many people will say "Your 13, you will grow!" but that is not exactly what im asking.

I know in the long run, i will become taller.

But, i do desire to become a model, in which most models range from 5'6 and higher height wise.

All im wondering is, are there stretches, foods, exercises, sports, or anything i can eat, drink, or do that can help stretch my spine and aid in my height growth?

If there are any Stretches, drinks, foods, exercises, sports, (or anything natural) please list what they are, how to do them and for how long.

I would greatly appreciate this! My goal would be to be about 5'1, in which i am currently 4'9-4'10.

    Thank you!

  • Skin help- Redness, blackheads, and more.?

So for a long time ive noticed bright (almost as if i scribbled with a crayon) red areas on my face. They cover the middle of my forhead, tip of my nose, around the sides on my nose, and the cheek area by my nose.

On my nose and cheek area are small brown dots, that can barely be seem, cant be squeezed nor scrubbed out.

Ive tried clean and clear products and other products (i will list later) that my mother has suggested and they will not work.

I tried this first product that came in pads and smelt like chemicals. Big time. Like a bottle of bleach and 100 sharpies.

I rubbed the pad on my face, and it felt like sand paper being scrubbed everywhere. It began to burn, and sting, and majorly itch. Though the redness left, the black dots are still present.

I decided to try the liquid clean and clear essentials step 2 bottle, and immediately i noticed that when pouring it onto the toilet paper i was using, the paper was dry and absorbed the liquid. I struggled to even get the product on my face.

After i FINALLY got it on my face, it began to burn again. and my face began to get very red.

So, not only is my face still red, its redder than before, AND THE BLACK DOTS ARE STILL THERE.

Can anyone help me get rid of these black dots, zits, redness, and more? Im struggling here. Im okay with a few zits, they are normal. But this redness covering my face, the black dots, im not okay with these.

Please help, ive tried everything i can think of...

  • What college career path do i need to take for dermatology?

    Hi!

So, i recently found out one of the colleges near me offers a dual enrollment program, meaning the extra credits i earn in high school will go towards an associates degree (which after i graduate college and would go back for two years for a bachelors).

My difficulty, is that they offer the following paths: (Business, Engineering & Technology) and Education plus health sciences and finally public safety.

So, my immediate reaction is thinking that health sciences would be the one i would need to take, until i read the description that states under it "Cardiovascular Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Medical Coding Specialist, Medical Records Transcription, Radiography"

So, is Health science the one i would need to take?

  • Can i begin to get a bachelors/masters in 9th grade?

I want to try and get a head start in my education, and my plan is to start getting an md (which takes four years) when im twenty.

So, can i begin to get my bachelors/masters in ninth grade? What kind of colleges do i look for/what do i look for to try and accomplish this?

How does this work? Do i attend certain classes online, or do i have to go to the college after my school day is over, or do i just take certain classes during my highschool day?

  • Can you go to a two year college twice for a md?

If i desire to go to wilson medical school to get an md, but its only a two year college, can i still attend?

Is it possible to go to wilson twice to get the md, or do i have to go to a four year medical school?

  • College questions AGAIN?

So, it seems absolutely no one could be specific, nor answer my question. Looks like i have to make it more specific.

I wish to go to a university, of which has colleges on it. (Like princeton. its a university, with colleges on it. so lets use princeton for an example)

Princeton has wilson college, which has MEDICAL LEARNING.

But it only does 2 years.

Please, explain everything you possibly can to where a 5th grader can understand it (Im not a fifth grader, but this is was to confusing for me)

  • College questions - 2 year college, 4-8 year degree?

Alright, so i have been looking at a college that i like quite a lot.

Problem? I estimate need a 4-8 year degree (an M.D. is 4 years, but a doctorate is 8... i have no clue which one i need or any of that. if anyone can answer that question as well that would be great)

So, can i go to the college 2-4 times? How does all of this work?

  • How to get Victoria Secret style curves?

Simple enough, i desire that curvy, flat stomach. What girl doesnt?

But everything every site recommends, just makes it even harder.

I tried crunches, sit ups, and so much more but all they did was flatten my stomach, but make me straighter on my sides. They shaped my tummy into a /rectangle/.

I do not /want/ to be a rectangle, not at all. But, i also want to do this naturally with exercise, not waist cinchers or un healthy diets etc.

Mainly, i want to trim fat and tighten skin on my sides, and possibly tone muscles (if thats what helps, i do not want to make the muscles BIGGER. at all.)

  • How to fix this? I can NOT breathe through my nose!?

So, for quite a few months i have NOT been able to breathe through my nose.

I clean it, nothing. I have asthma, so i use a nebulizer (but it doesnt even help. at all. not even slightly. screw you doctor.)

I looked, and it kinda looks like a circular muscle that has a small hole in it (a pencil, pinky finger, nothing could possibly fit, its small)

I think THIS might be the cause. But, i can NOT figure out how to fix it! It cant be allergies, because if i open my nose (or flare my nostrils, whatever you call it) as BIG and i possibly can i can then breathe.

How on /earth/ do i fix this!? Ive tried breateh right strips, but i cant go around with a giant piece of plastic on my face for life! That just cant happen!

Please, tell me how to fix this!

  • Things that counteract high levels of sugar?

So, upon finding out that many of the foods i eat are VERY high in sugar, i decided to try and find a way to fix that. No luck. Thanks google.

I do NOT want to stop CONSUMING these foods. But, instead, find a way to, i suppose get rid of the sugar?

Like, as if, is it possible i could drink a certain amount of water and that will help get rid of sugar or something?

I understand what im trying to explain is a little difficult to say.

I suppose i could explain it like this: If you take a bucket, and add a bunch of sand into it, how do you counteract that? if you add a lot of water, then as it evaporates the sand kind of goes away with it?

is there anything i can do that will help get RID of the sugar AFTER i eat sugary items?

  • Is this anxiety or stress?

Recently (and for many years, but there happening more often now) ive been having little over-whelming episodes almost. I am writing this as i just had one not even 40 mins ago.

They are caused by simple things, like this time i was doing math work that we covered early in the year and i started getting fidgety, and panicking, then began to cry and start gritting my teeth.

I dont know why it happens, but its happening more frequently and its really bothering me. It happens over anything, anywhere. It has occurred at school while taking a test, organizing crayons in a box, cleaning, even random times at night where i will wake up, sit there for a moment or two, then start with this.

What exactly is this? Is there anyway i can stop it or try to fix is? It is beggining to affect my life and its frustrating me. My family makes fun of me about it, and my worst fear is that it will happen around my friends. Im insecure about it, and its making afraid to even go anywhere because i dont want it to happen in public.

Please, if anyone knows, what is this? How do i stop it or fix it?

  • Question for any female that lived during the 1950s?

Alright, so me and my friends have planned to do a themed kinda party (for no reason other to hang out, but we thought it would be cool) so after much thought and sharing what our interests are, we agreed on an era themed one (one goes as the 70's, 90's, i am the 50's)

Ive got a little site, so i can understand the styles, but it does not explain anything about what goes... under, these amazing outfits.

So.. what exactly does go under them? In what order?

Ive tried researching it, and find myself getting a tad lost. Ive heard of slip dresses, petti coats, girdles, etc. but i dont know what goes for what outfit or how they go on or anything!

If you could be able to provide some information on this, it would be GREATLY appreciated!

  • Can you eat with your lips sewn shut?

Lately, ive begun to see this "piercing play" Thing, where peope have sewn there mouths shut.

I was just curious, how do people live with this? (for anyone who read that wrong, im not saying it in a hate way, i will explain)

How do you get the proper nutrition with this? Quite obviously you can not open your mouth to insert food, so do you have to drink smoothies?
