I live in Alberta and have a 2 year probationary license called a GDL. I have to wait 1 more year to do my advanced road test for a full class 5 license. Would my GDL be considered a valid license?

Many employers advertise in their job ads they require a valid drivers license and I don't know if I qualify.

I'm have no idea why but my finger nails peel terribly. They just start to grow out and they break off and start all over again. I noticed my toes are starting to peel as well.

I take a multivitamin supplement and calcium + vitamin D supplement daily, I drink atleast 6-7 glasses of water a day, I eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and whole grains. I stopped wearing nail polish thinking it was making it worse and drying them out but it hasn't made any difference. I've tried nail strengtheners and top coats ect with no luck. My hands are also extremely dry as I have to wash my hands with antibacterial soap at work as I work at a food plant and its mandatory so I wear gloves and use loads of coco butter hand lotions and still my nails are terrible, Peeling and brittle.

Any tricks or advice?

What else should I do? I doubt its my diet I eat very healthy.

I have a severely painful sore throat for the last 2 days. Its not strep I don't have any other symptoms except this severe pain in my throat. It is almost unbearable to swallow and talk. I have no other cold symptoms but my throat doesn't look like strep should. What other remedies can I try?

I have tried the following:

1. Taken garlic and vitamin C supplements every 6 hours

2. Drink hot green tea with lemon and honey

3. Sucked on fishermans friends lozenges

4. Eaten soup

5. Had a hot shower

6. Taken my multivitamin

7. Gargled apple cider vinegar every hour

I am in so much pain I can't even fall asleep. I have never had a sore throat this bad. I won't go to a doctor yet because its likely viral and there isn't anything they can do for me. Because as I've said before a sore throat is my only symptom and strep throat usually involves a fever, aches and pains in the joints, swollen and oozing tonsils, ect. which I don't have.

If I wear a dress with them would it look funny if the dress is turquoise, purple, blue, or yellow?

If I wear a dress should the dress and cowboy boot color be similar/the same or will it look funny if I wear different colors.

Would a black dress look bad with these boots because they are brown?

I haven't had a nice pair of cowboy boots since I was a little girl and I don't know what else to wear with the other than the normal jeans/jean skirts. I like to dress girly so am hoping these will look nice with dresses.

I recently purchased 24 baby neon tetras for my 72 gallon tank. I have a 10 gallon hospital/new fish tank that I keep all fish in for 2 weeks before adding to my main tank. It has been running for about 3 months and has held many fish for atleast 2 1/2 months all healthy and have since been added to my main tank. I removed 5 tiger barbs from the 10 gal tank the day before I brought home the neons did a 30% water change and checked the parameters ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite all zero and temp.78F the night I added the neons. I floated the bag and added new water every 10 min and after about 30 min climatizing I netted them and put them in the 10 gallon turned all lights out and left them. 5 days later they have all died and my daily parameter checks were still zero for everything! They showed no signs of sickness but upon bringing them home we very stressed and looking dazed.

What did I do wrong!? I removed all dead fish periodically throughout the day, parameters remained fine, and all fish previously placed in the tank lived and were healthy.

My little cousin born about 10 days ago was born pre-term at 29 weeks at 3 lbs 10 oz. Is this a normal weight for a baby at 29 weeks? My aunt was terrified of gaining weight during her pregnancy and I suspect this is low even for this age of development and a result of my aunt limiting her weight gain by not eating enough throughout her entire pregnancy.

Currently the baby has lost weight despite being in neonatal intensive care and currently weighs just over 3 lbs. She has jaundice due to an under developed liver and is being treated with photolights in her incubator. She is being tube fed as well. What is the risk of death for her?

I am not trying to be morbid or pessimistic I just want to prepare myself for the worst if it does happen as I take death very hard. I feel as those the risks are very high for her and that a good outcome is bleak for her. Am I over reacting to this?

I am a university student and I'm really getting pressed for cash. As of right now I will only have $400 to live on for 2 months after my rent is paid for, $650/month, till my first paycheck from my full time summer job comes in which wont be till the end of May. Currently I am still in school full time and finals and exams are coming up so picking up a short term part time job isn't really an option at this point and my full time summer job starts May 1.

-I take transit for trasportation bc I can't afford a vehicle and thats covered till the end of april with my tuition fees.

-On average I spend about 120-150/month on food and I never eat out I buy and cook all my food.

-Luckily rent includes all of my utilities 650/month

-My cell phone bill is about $37/month, my only phone

-Leaving about 13 for everything else!

I am very responsible and pay for everything 100% myself, I have no financial support from anyone and survive on my 4 months of full time summer employment for the 8 months of school that covers all my expenses. I do not work part time through the school year as my intensive studies leave me no time to do this, I even have evening classes. I don't eat out or party ever, go to movies, theater ect. I just can't afford it. On average I usually only spend 200/yr for clothing and only buy it to replace something thats worn out. I am very frugal even my grocery purchases are often on sale.

First off I want to say that I am very close to my parents and their opinion is very important to me. I am 22 and have been with my bf 4 yrs and 3 months. We have known each other since highschool, started dating first year of college and have spend all postsecondary school with each other. My bf is amazing and I love him very much. The only issue is I was raised in a very traditional christian non-alchol household and my bf has not. I know religious differences are dangerous and it is killing my parents that he is not a christian. Initially when we started dating he came to church with us but now that I have moved away from home that has stopped. My bf and I do not live together but he is my best friend I dont know how I would live without him. Every time I go home I get a lecture and its tearing me apart, it hurts that my parents want me to leave someone that I love so much but at the same time it hurts bc I want them to love him to. They say that he's a great guy but not the one for me. He graduates with his Bachelor of Science degree this spring and starts med school in the fall. He goes out of his way to help with anything I need and spoils me. Now when they talk to me about it I become completely cold towards them I just cant deal with this but I dont want this to ruin my close relationship with my parents. I have had my Phalaenopsis Orchid for 3 years and it has never re-bloomed. It is sitting in an east facing window and has had fabulous leaf growth. I water it only when the soil begins to feel dry and when I water it I let it soak in a bucket for 5 min with orchid fertilizer and then allow it to drain. The stem that had blooms on it when I bought it over time died completely and I trimmed it off. No new stem has regrown in two years. I thought that it was root bound, it was in the original container I purchased it in, despite how healthy it looked and repotted it 6 months ago in an orchid potting mix with bark, perlite, coconut fibre ect. I trimmed off the decaying roots and removed any moss potting medium that was also decaying. Since repotting 3 leaves have died and it is difficult to keep moist. What am I doing wrong?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 4 years. We previously do something for Valentines day every year. We do not live together so I visit often, his place more than mine because I have a roommate. Last night I asked if I could come over to his place to study since my roommate was having a romantic evening with her new boyfriend. He said that would be fine and I expected to atleast make supper for him and spend some quality time together after he came back from playing soccer. I made him a quick supper to take with him on the road. Soccer was from 6:30-7:30 but then he tells me he also has a rec hockey tournament to play in and doesnt get home till 10:30. I stayed at his house alone from 6-10:30 and then he comes home showers and goes to bed. While he was gone I baked red velvet cupcakes, cleaned his very messy kitchen, did a load of laundry for him, and made his bed. I am really miffed that he didn't even stay up with me for 30 min on Valentines day none the less. Im not upset he didn't buy me anything I'm just kind of upset he didnt even seem to notice or care it was valentines day. I love him a lot and in a way this kind of hurt me.

This is wrong. Says in my notes CAC gives 12 ATP not 10. How? CAC yield is 3 NADH + 1 FADH + 1 GTP=10 ATP not 12. What did I do incorrectly? Correct answer in my notes is 129.

I have a aquaclear 20 filter and am diligent with water changes, I always change an ammonia remover medium in my filter once/month to be on the safe side. I know about 1" fish/ gallon rule. It isn't really the greatest rule.

Q: I want to add 3 more neon tetras is that too risky? Currently have had all of my fish for almost a full year, all full grown adults now.

-Would put new comers into a fully cycled running hospital tank for 2 wks to ensure all healthy before adding to current tank.

I have an issue with my nail polish chipping within a day. I always use remover or my nails to remove oils and let that dry. I apply base coats, use 1-2 layers of polish with a top coat and let it dry 30 min between applications. By the next day its already starting to lift, chip, or peel.

I find Sally Handson's extreme wear lasts the longest maybe 2 days and its cheapet

OPI lasts no longer than other brands

What can I do? I love having my nails painted but have a pet peeve about chips. I never paint my nails bc it seems like such an ordeal and doesnt last anyway.

I wear gloves when washing dishes and using cleaning products. My nails are short as they break off before they can get long.

I am wondering if I can wear clogs in Canada and still be in style. I have 3 pairs all of which I love because they are super comfortable and cute with jeans. They are medium height so I am not towering over everyone and they have a slightly finer heel than traditional really chunky clogs. I have a pair in black faux leather, black wood on heel and sole with studs on the toes with runching and a side buckle, I have 2 brown pairs one exactly like my black pair with brown wood heel and sole but dark chocolate brown. My other brown pair is faux brown leather has a heel strap with cute brass buckle with dark wood grain heel and sole and brass studs around the seam line of toe. I think I can get away wearing them because the wood grain is similar in color to the faux leather portion and the studding is still in style?

Ballet flats kill my feet I wish the trend would die out already (and I hate the look of Uggs). I literally can not walk in them for more than 10 min without limping I've tried on so many pairs and it doesn't matter they are all the same and clogs being wider in nature are heaven for my tender feet.
